Loving your videos...I am a type 2 diabetic, 24 years since diagnosis with no side effects to date. I want to keep it that way! And I have lumbar region back issues, including nerve issues. So very focused on learning more about nerves and how they work, how to keep them healthy and able to regenerate. I can not thank you enough for doing all the research you have done as a professional and sharing your personal experience. I wanted to add to your list of mobility assistive devices of rollators and walkers, the UpWalker...which is what I use and could NOT live without. My back issues make walking difficult but this keeps me able to walk but walk fully upright, for me super important since the damage in my back is in my low back making regular walkers problematic. Oh and I love your humor too...thank you SO much.

Hi Samwilde! Your comment made my whole day. I'm always so happy to hear that a viewer benefitted from a video. It sounds like you've been doing a fantastic job of staying out of the woods with neuropathy. I will pin your comment and list the UpWalker there so others can see it if they open the description. This is the kind of feedback I'm always looking for and truly appreciate.
As far as the humor goes...I normally have so many takes and bloopers it's hard not to make it fun. I just added 2 videos recently and since you mentioned it I thought I'd post them for you here. The bloopers at the end are priceless. Please let me know if I can assist in any way and again, thank you so much for the positive feedback ❤❤

When I started out with neuropathy I didn't know what it was or how it came about, my doctor did not know what to do he sent me to a specialist and that doctor would stick Needles and Pins and wires and shock me a lot at that time I was in a wheelchair and I couldn't walk I asked him if I could get any better, he said no it will only get worse so I started doing research to find out what it is and what causes it and how to treat it so I started finding RUclips doctors and stop eating carbs and sugar and start fasting when everybody else said I had to eat two or three hours apart and gave me all these carbs and plant-based Foods and I only got worse and worse until I stop doing that and listen to the RUclips doctors and now I can walk with a cane and sometimes without it but my doctor only work for the FDA and not the patient pushing drugs and pushing the poisonousfoods promoted by FDA in the Heart Association and they don't want you to skip meals but I find I do a lot better eating one meal a day with lots of meat butter and eggs and zero carbs

Hi Steven! I'm so sorry you went through that initially. Sounds like you had EMG's and nerve conduction studies....not fun. It's very easy to believe in certain conspiracies" regarding the FDA and the healthcare world...I've struggled with this being a nurse since I passed my boards. And you're correct! The advice given to manage diet (at least early on) was completely off the mark. The old food pyramid makes me cringe but we know better now. Sounds like you went Paleo? Educating ourselves is so important and I'm really happy that you've been able to find clarity via RUclips...that's amazing and exactly why I make these videos. I'm also so glad to hear that you've improved to the point of walking with a cane. Please let us know how you're doing.

As A type 2 diabetic first thing I did was radically change my diet to stop neuropathy from getting any worse! I actually did so well I stopped taking insulin and got my A1C down to 4.9! This won't cure neuropathy, but mine hasn't got any worse, and maybe even improved a touch. I now eat low carb, borderline keto. No bread, no pasta, no rice, no sweet fruits. I am keeping my after meal spikes in the 120's (which is when damage occurs if it gets above 160) So monitor your post meal spikes about 1 - 1.5 hours after each meal. Check out Low carb, keto, or carnivore diets. Choose the diet that you can stick with for the long run. Don't let those post meal spikes get above 160! Good luck !

    Been having terrible,
abhorrent, unrelenting pain for about 2 months with NP. I’ve been a diabetic since 1997. My dad had both legs amputated in 1998 for very poor circulation. I lost my diabetic husband 4 1/2 years ago after 1 of his legs was amputated due to infection from gangrene. My heart breaks when I think of their suffering with NP.
I was on strong pain meds for years for other body ailments and when I went off it the NP has gotten worse as each month comes. I cry every night and don’t go to sleep until wee hours of the morning! I cannot take this much longer! I thank God I have been researching how to help myself and most of what you’ve spoken on seems to be the way to go to alleviate most of my anxiety and pain!
Cannot wait to pursue relief without prescription medication!
Thank you for sharing part of your journey and I know God saw fit to have me listen to your video! I pray many more people watch it and get knowledge of how to help themselves with NP!👍
God bless you and I pray your journey with the awful and intrusive
diabetes will not be so miserable as my journey!🙏❤

I'm incredibly sorry you're going through this...truly upsetting to see all you and your family have endured. I'm glad you stumbled on to Lucid Med as you're exactly the reason I started it to begin with. So many suffering with chronic pain and autoimmune issues that I feel I can only address and bring as much attention to them as possible in hopes that this will trigger further attention and research. Could use all the help we can get. I'm doing well as far as my diabetes (thanks for your prayers). I'm chronically up and down so managing it is a struggle but for the most part I'm ok. I also join you in your belief btw. Please let me know how you're doing periodically and you'll remain in my thoughts.

Thanks so much I was diagnosed with Neurosarcoidosis a rare genetic inflammatory disease. I’m talking 1 in 200,000 rare . I’m gluten free dairy free and my nutrition and fitness habits were off the charts . This was a shock to me my family and doctors. Because I was told that I was healthier than them. 6-4 185 pounds I look like a NBA player. Life happens to all of us . This disease causes an extreme case of neuropathy because as I said my overall health is stellar because I was an ex athlete before this disease was found. This disease itself is pain beyond description, basically my body spasms 24 hours a day 7 days a week and the neuropathy pain is even worse. I have a game changer for those who have never tried this and because I have an extreme case. This is what I call natures candy and I discovered this while being hospitalized because I refused to eat their food I brought my own Whole Foods to the hospital. Dark fresh or frozen cherries eat them and hours later they give me significant relief. Hope this helps someone. My words of encouragement to everyone is to Keep Moving Forward and Never Give Up stay strong and this too shall pass As long as you are breathing keep believing Ase ‘ Amun Ra

I have been suffering with all the common symptoms of neuropathy for 2months now. I'm a recovering alcoholic not diabetic. I've been to a podiatrist who couldn't help me. I went to another doctor a specialist to check blood flow and that wasn't the problem either. I'm waiting to see a new primary doctor which took 3 months to get. I have an appt with neurology but not until Nov. I can't believe I have to wait that long. I'm in pain everyday. Burning red hot feet. I can only sit with my feet in cool water to relieve me. I've been trying to get the most information from doctors on you tube, at least I get answers. Regrettable alcohol I believe was my worst enemy but during my drinking it was my best friend. I'm 66 now and wish I'd had listened to others about my drinking. I'm paying the consequences for my bad choices. I thank you for the wealth of information to help me. I did start taking vitamins and some supplements meantime. There are days that I'm so depressed though and bouts of crying out of pain and frustration. I hope I make it in one piece until my appt. I needed to vent some of this and here it is.

I tried using Kirklands Tumeric (with pepper added, suppose to inhance absorption) for an extreme bout of sciatica that has lasted nearly a year. I didn't find any relief. In fact, after going thru a month of rehab, acupuncture, only help a little. What worked best was using an inversion table. But now I have that tingling, numbness, sometimes pain in my right foot that won't go away. Wonder if the sciatica nerve damage may have set off NP? Recently went to another Dr for a steroid injection in my lower spine for that nagging recurring sciatica pain. I have a herniated disc issue that I think set off my sciatica. That was extremely painful, and did absolutely nothing. But I guess 50 years of daily alcohol consumption doesn't help either.

I did try some drugs but the side effects were very bad also tried the heat patch which has some relief but has brought back ball of foot pain which I had forgotten about over the last 10 years. I recall my doctor said there’s no real treatment for this and the pain will get worse over time, i manage it by mentally by blocking the pain out this works for me

Something that might be helpful to a few. I suffered with painful burning outer thighs for 10-15 years. As a type 2, I thought it was peripheral neuropathy but none of the homeopathic remedies I tried helped. Finally a chiropractor told me my illiotibial bands were too tight. His remedy of stripping the bands was too painful to endure, but an acupuncturist gave me temporary relief and 2 simple exercises to stretch the IT bands that keep pain at bay if done daily. Life changing!

Started feeling that electric toe thing again, and tonight I realized that it was probably the sunflower lecithin that was helping the toe. So. That B complex looks good except for they unfortunately use the cheap, synthetic version of B 12, which takes over ten different complicated conversions in the body, in order to turn it into the usable form of METHYLCOBALAMINE, which is what the body actually needs. Many people can't properly convert it into the correct type that the body needs. In these people, the cheap synthetic version of B12 ( bad = cyanocobalamin) actually blocks the receptor sites, so then the usable form of Methylcobalamine can't get in.
There's a really good video by several doctors and nurses who specialize in this topic, on RUclips called DIAGNOSING AND TREATING VITAMIN B-12 DEFICIENCY. That title exactly. Watch the entire video and take good notes. ♥️. This above video is excellent too. Thank you very much. Please try to get a B complex that has Methylcobalamine specifically ( and zero cyanocobalamin) . Many people benefit from actual Methylcobalamine or HYDROXOCOBALAMIN INJECTIONS on an aggressive schedule initially, (to stop further nerve damage and begin to reverse the existing damage.) Extended time passing with ongoing vitamin B 12 deficiency can be dangerous. ♥️🙏♥️

On standing desks. Peripheral neuropathy in the feet can be caused by sitting. Sitting can cause a pinched nerve in the lumbar spine, such as the L5-L5 or L5-S1, can cause peripheral neuropathy in the feet. This type of neuropathy is called lumbar radiculopathy, and it is caused by nerve compression in the lower back. Also standing desks allow bearing weight on your spine but in a vertical position. Standing up helps strengthen bones due to gravity compared to sitting. When standing, the force of gravity is constantly pushing down on the body, which helps to strengthen the bones. Additionally, when standing, the muscles must work against gravity to keep the body upright, which also helps to strengthen them.
Standing desks can help improve circulation in the legs, reducing the risk of further nerve damage. Standing desks can provide better posture, helping to reduce strain on the spine and nerves. Standing desks can help reduce the risk of developing pressure sores, which can be a common issue for those with peripheral neuropathy. Standing desks can also help reduce stress on the lower limbs, which can be beneficial for those with nerve pain. Standing desks allow for increased blood circulation throughout the body due to improved posture and the heart having to pump blood 5-6 feet compared to about half that when sitting. This improves overall cardiovascular health, Standing desks can help reduce resting heart rate and systolic blood pressure, which can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Standing desks are associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes due to improved circulation and increased calorie expenditure.

Possibly the most inclusive treatment of this incurable affliction. I have had this condition for some twenty years with relentless worsening with time. I have been religiously taking most of the medication or supplements dealt with in this video and truthfully cannot state that they have helped and if they have to what extent. I have tried to locate a research effort or clinical trials on the use of foot or body vibration on PN but there does not seem to be any such. I have used and continue to use more or less on a regular basis, near infrared radiation from an old type incandescent NIFR lamp but as with the other treatment methods cannot vouch for it effectiveness. I would very much like to read and study research efforts done on the use of this type irradiator on NP. Hi Vivian! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with different treatments. This is why I love this community. Everyone has different levels of success and failure and what's important is that we all keep talking about them. There is definitely not a "one size fits all" approach as there are different degrees of PN. What works for some may not work for others which is why I have a big issue when I see videos claiming they can "cure" this condition without providing this context. I use the IR device I referenced in the video (can't say I use it religiously anymore) but remain fairly constant and feel that the combination of R-ALA and fish oil taken in combination with other treatments have made a huge difference for me.
As far as research supporting NIFR I know it's quite limited which is unfortunate. I myself had a tough time finding anything substantial when I was researching for this topic. I'll keep your desire for this information in mind and dive back in to see if I can find it. If I do I'll make another video to go over it. Best wishes to you as well and please keep us in the loop as to how you're doing.

Thank you Danielle for your reply and comments. One most important factor that I somehow forgot to mention relates to the intake of sugar and alcohol. These two are totally and absolutely to be avoided and there is nothing like moderation in their usage. I am not any sort of alcohol fan but did at one time more or less regularly partake of two glasses of red wine per day. As a test I increased this to several glasses with the result that I was rendered almost paralysed. I repeated this test some five or six times with different brands of wine, red, white and raisin. These had effects very slightly differing but all had a most definite and negative effect on the PN. The test with sugar yielded similar results though not as pronounced. My most sincere advice based on my very own personal experience is that sugar in any and all forms and alcohol also in any and all forms must be avoided. For those who like the sting of alcohol I have devised an alternative drink which does offer a somewhat similar sting and additionally has a claimed beneficial effect on PN. If interested I would gladly share the recipe. My most sincere wishes for your welfare, health and success in all things.@@lucidmed3343

@ozzieabroad Thank you for your enquiry. Resulting from a comprehensive search for scientific papers on the use of fruits in the treatment of PN, I was able to locate a few papers that dealt with the efficacy of just dates and date juice as beneficial agents in the treatment of PN. I will not go into the method of making date juice as there are more than sufficient RUclips videos dealing in detail with the method.A very important aspect is that only poor quality dates are to be used. This is to limit the sugar content in the final product as sugar is to be avoided as much as possible for PN.The juice as prepared is cloudy and requires to be clarified. This process is too involved for home use but is used industrially. All that\ can be done at home is to strain using progressively finer and finer cloth starting with cheese cloth and ending with the finest weave. Straining hot juice helps as the juice is less viscous . If the juice is required to be kept for some time, food presertive may be added but chemicals aught as far as possible to be avoided. All fruit especially of the berry type are beneficial for PH but the date seems to be the most effective and has thus been researched scientifically. Also all fruit is traditionally assumed beneficial for PN but the high sugar content precludes their use.If the “ alcoholic” sting is required , commercially available red chili powder may be added as desired. Red chili does have a pain deadening effect generally. Please do access the papers oroduced on the use of dates and date juice in the treatment of PN.The very best to you and thank you for your note.

Hi@@richNfit4life! I'm more familiar with this combination for joint pain rather than neuropathy but this is the beauty of the comment section. You can try this:
      1. Prepare a Mixture: Create a blend of castor oil and DMSO by combining equal parts of each. For example, you can mix one tablespoon of castor oil with one tablespoon of DMSO.
      2. Application: Gently massage the mixture onto the affected joint. Ensure the area is clean and dry before applying.
      3. Warmth and Time: Consider using a warm compress or heating pad over the area to enhance the absorption of the oils. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 30 minutes.
      4. Regular Application: For optimal results, use this mixture on a regular basis. Depending on the severity of your joint pain, you may choose to apply it daily or a few times a week.
Please let me know how it works if you try it.

It depends on factors like whether it was caused by an underlying condition, if it's idiopathic (unknown cause), caused by medication etc. There are things you can try to help though which include supplements like R-Alpha lipoic acid and benfotiamine, eating healthy, not consuming large quantities of alcohol or smoking, and maybe trying infrared devices. My neuropathy was able to be greatly reduced by controlling my diabetes and doing the things mentioned above.

This is an amazing and helpful video!! I am a type 2 diabetic however I was given metaformin and each time I kept saying I am not tolerating this is there anything else? I had gestational diabetes and slowly went over to type2. One, I wish my Dr would have prevented this a long time ago when she saw an elevated pattern. She didn’t same thing with cholesterol. However my diabetes is on the lower scale and I myself brought it down from a 7 to 6.3. Cut 1/2 carbs, sugar free, watched what I ate and walked. Now my issue I had an injury that took 2 yrs to be diagnose that I tore my ankle and now my right thigh near groin tore also. Hence damage from an injury. All this time I’ve had dopplers, mri etc. endocrinologist says the pain in foot is not diabetes and neurologist tests says it’s not radiculopathy from a back issue. 🙄 what do I think it is? Well after watching this video, it’s diabetes! Doesn’t matter that my A1C isn’t your typical numbers that says it’s PN. Neuro showed I have mild neuropathy, hate to see what full blown is. But everything you stated is me! And hear I thought it’s my injury. But I’ve had PT many times even dry needling. Btw not my pcp, not neurologist and not endocrinologist have advised on B vitamins. I asked for blood work on the B’s. I am taking B12 only and magnesium but now I’m going to ask for the other B’s not to mention a good omega 3 and that last med you mentioned. I do stretch and I walk but sometimes the walking makes my feet worse. And I have flat feet. I’m a mess 😂but this video put me in the right direction! Thank You!!!

I was recently diagnosed back in v November for peripheral neuropathy but before that I was already doing things like massage. Whenever I get back home from work I lay in bed, use vicks or tiger balm and massage my toes. They are very sensitive and super ticklish. Nervive don’t work for me. I bought turmeric root, ginger root 🫚 and blend them in green veggies. I take alpha lipoic acid with L Carnitine, benfothiamine and B complex vitamins. My sugar was high always 200-300s. When I fast or eat intermittently it goes down under 200. Lol. I’m not consistent but I do know what to do. It’s hard to keep consistent and sometimes I don’t bother. Just sleep it off . I noticed dairy products like cream or milk on my coffee makes the pain worst. Keto diet worked temporarily. I drink water with tons of fresh sliced lemons day and night. Eat chew garlic with honey turmeric all fresh ingredients. It helps a bit. Eating steamed okra and bitter bitter veggies help

I have peripheral neuropathy but it's not due to diabetes or nerve damage due to any surgery or chemotherapy. It is supposedly due to genetic causes as I have had it for 15 years and my sister has had it for 5 years and my mother has had it for three years now. I have absolutely no pain in my legs or feet but there's a foot drop issue due to which I tend to trip and fall often even after wearing an AFO splint in both my legs without which it is almost impossible for me to walk. I had been taking all kinds of vitamin tablets for more than 12 years after which my doctor asked me to stop taking them as there was no effect on me. Anything else that I could take to improve my condition that has been deteriorating over the years as there is no movement of the toes of my feet on their own except when I move them with my hands. My hands' grip is also reducing over the years and weakening.

But I have very bed balance, all weaker legs every year, stiffness of legs and low back, much pain in back after 1 min I don't seat, and after I SEAT A LONG TIME AS WELL, and after I sleep 1 - 2 hours. No, I'm not going to take it since it is not healing the issue only masking it . I've been taking vit B 1,6, and B12 from food. Hi gratitude! What you've been through sounds really painful and unfortunately all too common as well. Another concern I have is whether there's a complex regional pain syndrome component going on here. Normally after an injury such as yours we see this surface. Do you have temperature changes or skin coloring changes? The vitamins you're taking are great, but I'd also maybe try R-ALA as this was a massive game changer for me. Red light therapy may also be beneficial. I tell my viewers that recovery can be a long and slow process (as you've experienced). There's no magic bullet but persistence is absolutely key. I applaud you for remaining diligent with your search for relief and I understand you not wanting to mask the symptoms. This is a common theme among many of my patients. I'm hearing more and more about castor oil for various conditions but I have yet to hear of using it for neuropathy though...it makes sense as it is great for increasing circulation. I'd be really curious to hear if you notice a sustained difference at any point. Thank you for reaching out and commenting. I wish you well.

One thing that needs to be said - vitamin B6 is NOT always safe to supplement. Excess B6 is itself a known *cause* for Small Fibre Neuropathy, and is a very common additive in "nerve" formulas (including the one listed in your recommendations). Both those and B Complex supplements are NOT recommended for people with small fibre neuropathy unless the person has been tested and found to have been deficient in B6 first.
I have sadly spoken with a few hundred sufferers of SFN in various support groups who are there as a direct result of B6 toxicity - one of whom was from supplementing as little as 25mg of B6 a *week*. My observation is that some people appear to be a lot more sensitive to B6 toxicity than others, and for those people it's distressingly easy to go from deficient to toxic very rapidly (within less than a month for another person I've spoken with).
It means that recommending B6 intake without concurrent monitoring of B6 levels via blood tests will result in some people actually making their neuropathy *worse*.

    • @lucidmed3343
      @lucidmed3343  Год назад

Hi Melanie! Thanks for commenting. Everyone is different which is why I also made the disclaimer that these are the supplements that I've personally used and consulted with my doctors on. Main message was while this has worked for me anyone watching needs to discuss with their HCP that knows them and their specific issues. I also mention that at high levels B6 can be toxic. I do supplement with B Complex and have found benefit but the most important factor to treating any neuropathy is to have a tailored regime that's personalized.

    • @lucidmed3343
      @lucidmed3343  Год назад +2

lol so the deal with krill oil vs run of the mill omega 3 is our bodies don't effectively absorb omega-3s from fish or fish oil. Krill has unique properties that significantly increase its absorbability so in that sense yes krill is better. Also, krill contains Astaxanthin which regular fish oil doesn't. It's an antioxidant found in high quantities in lobster, crayfish and krill. Helps boost good cholesterol too. I don't take krill but that's because I'm a creature of habit and have taken Barlean's for many years. I put it in my smoothies and it's flavored so it blends well. Hi Joseph! Thank you for reaching out and commenting. I always love hearing feedback...good or bad. Much appreciated. I'm glad you found the channel. I completely understand your concern and I'm thinking that if you've recently been diagnosed with diabetes, your sugar may have been a factor for a lot longer than you realize and possibly causing an issue with your peripheral nerves. I'm glad you're seeing a podiatrist. Small fiber can be reversed a large percentage of the time as long as the underlying cause is controlled so if offered you might want to inquire about having an EMG/nerve conduction study or skin Bx. If the EMG is negative I would ask about a nerve biopsy. Especially if your symptoms continue to worsen. In the interim, it can't hurt to start R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and Benfotiamine. I take them and my neuropathy has immensely improved. I'd also make sure they check your vitamin D levels. Please feel free to email me directly if you'd like at danielle@lucid-med.com. You're in my thoughts.

I wondered if Curcumin and Cumin are the same thing, or if they are related. So I googled it and no, they are not the same thing and they come from different plants. But both are believed to fight cancer.

So does quercitin, ivermectin and other antioxidants. The ivermectin is very hard to find. There is many natural products that works. Vitamin B 1 thiamine is helping, people who have neuropathy which is a symptom.

Hi Mary! I'll have to try the pepper as well. Turmeric took a bit to get used to and the powder doesn't dissolve well at all but the health benefits outweigh dealing with a funky aftertaste any day.

Yes, I've seen many testimonials online from people stating that. I bought one a couple of months after I had researched for and found a cure 2 1/2 months after waking up with both of my feet on fire!! The pain was indescribable.

Thank you for this channel and the information. I am wondering if you could breakdown actual diabetes and how to lessen or cure it. You did touch on several things in this video but a more in depth study of the topic would be great. like why does your pancreas stop putting out insulin and why do your cells develop insulin resistance? You also hinted that drinking beer might be okay. I thought alcohol is converted to sugar and therefore a no-no. any elaboration would be helpful. Any video on the topic would be great. Thanks again

Hi Kirk! Thanks for commenting and the suggestion. I've thought about doing a series on diabetes since Lucid Med's inception so I'm on it! Have you been recently diagnosed? Several causes of diabetes, but it also depends of whether it's type 1 or type 2 of course. 1 is diet mediated and the others are autoimmune mediated. I'll go into the differences and speak to juvenile diabetes, type 1, and type 2. As far as the pancreas goes, with immune mediated causes, T lymphocytes (which are a type of white blood cell) attack and destroy insulin-secreting pancreatic beta cells and the pancreas stops producing insulin. That's a very generalized explanation which I'll break down for you in the video :). Regarding alcohol consumption 1-2 drinks/day are typically OK. Low carb versions of beer are what diabetics want to go for. Also, drinking on an empty stomach is a problem as it can lead to hypoglycemic reactions. Avoiding sugary syrups in mixed drinks is also indicated. I typically also don't cover with insulin when drinking but I'll explain why. Ideally I'll upload the start to this series next Sunday. Hope you enjoy it!

Diabetes is the Randle cycle breaking. It's a protection mechanism of the cells to stop them from ingesting any more toxic glucose. You can break it either with high fat carnivore diet, or whole foods plant based ot keto. In conjunction with occasional fasting preferably to induce autophagy

Hi there, LOVE your videos! Thanks for the unbiased content and your depth of incredible knowledge. I hope your channel continues to grow. I would love to learn more about successful treatment of PN as a result of chronic Lyme disease. Please share if you have tips or if this gives you cause to create a video on the subject even better! Thanks again for everything!

Hi! Thank you so much for letting me know. It means everything to hear that. I think that's a fantastic suggestion actually. I'll dive into the research and post it in the community tab if I wind up doing the video on this. If not PN specifically from Lyme's I may just cover Lyme's itself and address PN as a complication of it. I love suggestions from viewers. I want nothing more than to help those suffering with chronic illness so reaching out to me in this fashion and making a request...will always get my attention. Thank you!

Thanks Danielle! I’m sure there are many people suffering from Lyme who may not even know they have been exposed. Current testing is not the best at finding Lyme beyond the early acute phase. Please reply if you need help finding good sources of treatment info. I’ve been through the gamut and finally found a practitioner that understands the disease and best protocols. Would be very happy to share what I’ve learned - especially herbal remedies. Thanks again for your wonderful channel. Mark

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this channel! What a great video😉
I was diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy 6 years ago. It’s been quite the struggle for sure!!! I’m taking the ALA & B complex and a couple other supplements. I’m wondering if the olive leaf I take replaces the fish oil?? I was guided to take the ALA & Olive leaf together years ago. About a year later, I didn’t have to use a walker for assistance 🙌🏻 Olive leaf & ALA are amazing. Your thoughts? Should I take fish oil too? I take monolaurin and NAC as well. (I also have h-EDS). I appreciate your input😊

Hi! I'm glad you found me as well! That always makes me smile when I hear someone has benefitted. As far as the olive leaf I don't know a ton about it other than it may help with Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular health. However I sat up and took notice as I read you significantly improved with the combination of ALA and olive leaf. I'm going to give it a try myself. I've used Barlean's fish oil paste for years but recently I've switched to an algae based Omega 3 supplement because it's supposed to be better for LDL. The jury is still out but as soon as I have a solid opinion I'll update :)

Hi@@marlenemacapagal1979! Thanks for commenting and thank you so much for asking. I'm doing really well. I haven't had serious numbness/pain in over a year and I attribute this to pretty much everything discussed in the video. My go-to saviors are R-ALA and Benfotiamine. If I miss taking them, after a few days I feel it coming back. It's a balance and doesn't work for everyone but for me-it did.

@@lucidmed3343 I'm glad I saw your comment about benfotiamine because in the video you mentioned thiamine. I just watched a video by the neuro doctor and she explained why benfotiamine was better than thiamine. I was concerned about the conflicting information. But now I know which one you take. I don't have neuropathy myself but one of my sisters does and I'm sharing the information with her. Thank you!

Tens or EMS are awful if ur feet are extra sensitive. I put capsaican cream on and ouch my feet felt on fire... be careful. Good old ice helps more and cream for dryskin as feels tight and like sunburn🫣💔.

Hi Nina! Thanks for commenting! Covid seems to have caused so many people to develop SFN. Everyday I hear from several who noticed the 1st signs and symptoms a few weeks after recovering. Can't say there's a correlation for certain but it really seems that way. The supplements I mention have truly been pivotal for me. The difference between constant numbness and tingling, and only an occasional twinge. Let me know if you have questions :)
