Finally, Cyclops gets some love. My favorite X-Men. Even in the movies. James Marsden elevated the character above what the script gave him.
Totally Agree. I really hate the fact that the directors and writers of the X-Men Movies didn't care for the depth and character of Cyclops and the actor had to improvise in those movies.

I just want Cyclops to have 1 amazing moment on the big screen. The best fights in the movies he has are the train fight in dark phoenix and the fight in the plastic prison in X-men 2.
@diggy dub He was likeable in the role and more memorable then the material provided for him. Plus perfect casting looks and acting wise. But he still had a good sized role in the 1st one and standout emotional scenes, especially at the ending of X-Men 2.

The movies have severely depowered him. He is excellent at hand to hand combat, is a master at ricocheting his beams off objects, and can determine the best options to handle tough situations. But most importantly, what the movies forgot is when he takes off his visor... that's him going super saiyan. He is a living weapon and the movies keep painting him as this one trick pony. Disrespectful!
Thank you for this comment,, they totally destroyed all the potential he had in those movies, he didn't even get enough screen time as a valuable and important member of the X-Men and this is the same guy that is supposed to be the leader of the team.

Wolverine is just plot armor. If you had a gun and your enemy had 1 knife or 6 knives and there was 50 feet between you and all you had to do to shoot him was keep him in your line of sight, he would be dead many tines over before reaching you. Jumping and climbing dont help because in mid air, he cant change direction and is a sitting duck. Wolverines ability to win fights makes no sense whatsoever.
@@antondelacruz9362 I partially agree here but to me what makes Wolverine compelling isn't his immortality, it's the fact that other people around him, his friends and loved ones can die, plus apart from his healing factor, Wolverine still knows how to fight without it, he's a 100 years old man who learnt most of the ways of fighting, he's even an expert samurai, in the comics he doesn't usually need his healing factor that much when going up against his enemies, he mainly uses it on suicide missions, missions he knows that his friends can't survive, Cyclops is my favorite X-Man and top 3 of my favorite superheroes but that doesn't mean i don't respect Wolverine, he is the best at what he does and what he does isn't very nice.

My man can put out well over the force of a nuke and can break adamantium with his optic blasts, hell when he went all magneto in his black and red outfit he could even darkseid style control the shape and direction of his beams, he’s super underrated in a lot of media in favour of other characters

Cyclops for the win!!! Cyclops is always been my favorite X-Men I’ve been in love with his power since I found out about the X-Men have as a child. Somethin about his Power always resonated with me on a deeper level.
I love Cyclops, but man, writers gotta stop making him simping for Jean.
It's like in every adaptation. He's not always might be the leader but always has to be obsessed with her, and when she's in danger, dies, or even just get's hit on by some guy, he looses all his cool and becomes petty and whiny, which isn't good when the guy supposed to be a team leader, the one who should bring everyone together, the guy who takes the charge.
That's why he's better off with Emma, or incase of Evoultion with Rogue, cuz Jean just brings out the worst of him.
I personally liked him with Jean Grey in X-Men Evolution (I'm thinking of making a video where I explain his whole character and also talk about X-Men Evolution as a whole) but yeah, despite being my favourite hero in Marvel Comics, I have to agree that Cyclops doesn't know how to treat any of his women right especially in the comics. Thanks to him, Madelyn Pryor is a villain.
@@sickmountains In the comics I love the period when he was with Emma(before Pheonix Five), also his relationship with Jean in EVO grew on me, but idk, the idea of boyscout turning bad girl good and made her fall in love with him is just so cool, it makes him seems far more charismatic then usual good boy likes good girl routine.
Thing is, it's not character's fault, it's the writers. Each an new ones has his/her own idea what, and how things should be, and because of this we get rewrites, retcons, inconsistencies, and just bad characterization that makes ongoing comics a giant mess.

honestly xmen evolution scott/cyclops was a completely different breed from all the others and I dig it. r.I.p. to his va kirby morrow though. ( he also voiced Cole on Ninjago!! )

Man the Evolution version of cyclops will always be the best iteration of him to me to personally. Just so damn good learning about his upbringing. Really wish they would have continued with this version of xmen more so with that showing of what the future held for them.

Since I was a kid Cyclops has always been my favorite X-Men
In capcom's X-men game, I always chose him or Wolverine. I want him to be awesome in the movie that way. He should be as cool as Captain America in MCU and the power should be awesome as well.
I love all of Marvel's mutants but Cyclops has always been one of my favorites because he's the Captain America of mutants plus he's a very good hand to hand combatant and he's really more powerful than the movies depict him so hopefully in future depictions Cyclops is shown his full respect and the clip in this video with him going against the Juggernaut - hey man he tried his best but that's The Juggernaut bisshhh.

Before the first X-Men movie came out it was always Cyclops at the lead. Wolverine became the face of X-Men because Hugh Jackman made more money for the Hollywood moguls. Real fans remember that Cyclops is the face of X-Men.

Astonishing was great. It was an ensemble cast and every xman participated substantively rather than it being the wolverine show 24/7. It was hard to be a cyke fan in the 90s. Other than the miniseries in which redd and slym raised cable in the future, which shouldve been character defining, he of course came back from decades of marriage to have a ridiculous and out of character affair with white queen. Astonishing was the first significant respect i saw for him in comics.
Another on point comment right here, for me it was X-Men Evolution that started my love for the character but Astonishing made me love him more
