A powerful version of Abbas' Ode to Freedom as a final performed together with Eric Ericson's Chamber Choir and Benny Andersson. With the King and Queen and Ukraine's ambassador in the audience. Touching speeches and standing ovations.
I can't believe they didn't get a U.S. Grammy Award. It just shows you how disconnected the voting members are from the world and what's going on. God bless ABBA.

Well, Bad Bunny has 2 Grammys, so we can clearly see what are their standards today. I’m almost glad ABBA never received a single Grammy award.

Simply brilliant. I cannot believe that B&B have anyone on this planet that can outshine their creativity and mastery in so many musical genres. From ABBA to the musicals Chess and Kristina, BAO etc. Yet they remain absolutely humble and down to earth. Truly remarkable in this day and age. Let this be Ukraine's Ode to Freedom.
Ukraine from 2014 violent coup lost its freedom, the US and GB are ruling and grabbing this territory and sacrificed the people to their war against Russia.
Only ABBA could do something so intelligently poignant and brilliant, without winning a major prize for it.
Symbolic of what it means to transcend the barren consciousness our world has deteriorated into in this saddest of years.

I was just listening to the Voyage album today and thinking how sadly perfect and necessary this song is right now, only to find out about this live performance later this evening. How sad all the members of ABBA must be that this song now has a totally new resonance.

i am so proud and grateful to be an great Abba Fan since 1976. Every year on the 27th october I remember the concert of them at the Olympia Hall in Munich 1979 of the North American and European Tour. so my sister and I stood before the stage and my beloved Agnetha shook my hand ! I don't wash my right hand for 4 weeks.
God bless the 4 members of Abba.

I've always loved ABBA for constantly giving a feel-good vibe in the classics we all know and love. But songs like Ode to Freedom (favourite track from Voyage) and The Winner Takes It All really allow me to appreciate that for every dance and catchy moment, there is real craft, heart and emotion that Bjorn and Benny are able to put into their writing, particularly for an occasion like Ukraine. And to be able to write something like this after 40 years away from ABBA is just extraordinary.
Even if you don't like (or even hate) ABBA, just remember that there is something to appreciate with Bjorn and Benny's music and lyrics, they really are amongst the masters of songwriting. ABBA may now be old as people, but their music never will be.
