Did mine but its a tad off center lol.. im bout to go fix it.. I locked my wheel and didn't unlock and straighten it back out before installing it so yeah.. I was close but it ain't cutting it.. I think I've watched this ten times 🤣

I love that CD player in your I have 1998 Honda Civic Ex coupe we bout too start modifying here soon but being North Carolina we can’t modify the steering wheel on a 98 cause of computer inspection wich sucks
I got a 98 coupe and i highly suggest getting a oil pressure gauge cause the oil pump is the weak link in the d16y8 motor. My best advice is dont cheap out on any mods take your time and plan out what you want to do because they can be a pain to do some things especially anything under the dash lol

Great video had a question what kind of paint did u use for the blue I painted mine but it's started to peel while drying
I had the same problem when i did mine. The first time it peeled within no time. If you sand and wash the parts first, the paint will hold. Ive had my interior this same color for about 5 years now havent had that problem anymore. But i used cheap duplicolor.

What’s funny is you thought the blue wire was the horn but it was the red wire. Mine is a blue wire with a grey on each side. Blue is in place of where your red is (middle) so I assume that’s the horn.

What happened to the blue wire
So I followed this tutorial step by step and thought all was good. But when I connect my steering wheel or try to take it off, the horn goes off? Any help is greatly appreciated

@@xytics5519 Actually what it was is the hub the hub was making contact with the steering wheell and when you would turn the wheel the horn would go off the horn would go off. Adjusted the screws on the hub and it stopped
@@pat8590 same thing happened to me but I pulled the horn fuse out but now my civic won’t start 😅

its because you no longer have an air bag.
pretty sure u got it fixed by now but for future people wondering the same thing, remove your cluster and put a piece of black tape over the light or remove the bulb and fixed :) its the airbag

Right. You can keep it if you wire the controls to the dash somehow, but pretty much every aftermarket wheel won't have cruise control buttons.
My interior is exactly the same. Color and everything. Jaja. 😂
