Update I had to add Extra Wire for the Horn it was not long enough when i would turn the car it would catch and not want to turn any further so yea look out for that make sure the cable is long enough to turn the wheel

Disconnect the battery FIRST !! Do not remove the air bag without doing that first step please ! Safety first yall
lol this is true everyone I didn't mention this and I should have never ever never mess with the air bag with the battery connected!!!!

Man, this is an EXCELLENT video. I have a Del Sol that i just supercharged and had to eliminate the power steering. I am getting a smaller steering wheel because its easier to turn in tight places. Thanks for this video

hey tonight I began my steering wheel swap. Question, The SRS piece that hangs down what looks like loose wide ribbon. Did you just cut it or disconnect it because it's attached in a hard to reach spot?
It is connected you mean the horn cable??? It all works
@jjmax2007 I figured it out. The yellow SRS wire cluster is what i was talking about. I disconnected it and found instead of using the horn relay there are six female connections in the cluster after you disconnect the SRS reel. I tapped into the 6th pin with a copper pin from a TV cable reel and soldered it to the power wire and got the horn wire hot and it worked

Thefts of Sols is a pain in the ass,the way forward is a disklok steering wheel lock, I never leave my Sol without putting it on. The trouble with a removable steering wheel is you have to take the wheel with you everywhere you go,my steering wheel is standard and a size small Disklok fits perfect.
so true what's crazy my friends think I have it for racing and lil do they know plus when I go to the hang out I see eyez on the car as I walk around the spot, did not know there was a standard size out there

did you ever have issues with the targa top leaking when you had your del sol?
Leaks water? No no never but I have a video call junk yard adventures check it out there might be a fix there is a deal for the door windows I have a playlist for the Del sol
Hey man why is my steering wheel stem so damn long? How can I get the adapter right up against the hub? It sticks out too far. I just got the car like this so idk what was done or what they did or did t do
I would say get the kit and start over.... in the description there is a link to the parts for what u will need not sure if the links still work but let me check
Ok..... the previous owners steering wheel was not a deep dish, instead the steering wheel was shallow so it did not reach his arms from the driver seat so they must have used an extension adapter to push the steering wheel closer to the driver seat. I’ll fix that thanks.

long story short I had to make the wire longer and then took it all inside the base but it stop working before the car was sold SMH
What size is the hub have to be ? Can I use a Nrg or momo steering wheel? I need help...
I do not know the size of the hub there are links in the description where I got all parts from ebay hope this helps

The car never came with cruise control If it did i would have taken it out i plan to get this car on a track like @Reform movement guys are doing their civic, check out their page they are my inspiration

Not sure what u mean kit from ebay and tools from any auto store even wal mart
How did the steering wheel feel? Cheap? Or if its going to break? How did it hold up?
at first when it's install it feels great after a month normal driving in the city awesome, but I went to the track one weekend and realized why ebay steering wheels dont' go on those type of track cars the wheel would flex and not feel firm at all on the turns I trashed the OEM one and ended up not going to the track any longer after that til I sold the car

How did you remove the clocks print? Did you just cut it? That's the only thing you didn't really show how to do and I can't figure it out

nah nah it only has horn for the year so it was a good install
@@jjmax2007 He's probably referring to the cruise control. Mine has them, and I'd like to keep it but I'd like a new wheel so I guess I'm going to lose them for now.

Yes I had to reroute the cable after the install and the ground make contact with the copper ring
Cheap hubs aren't a good idea , wait until the splines strip out on you. Ever heard of the term understeer?
this is so true i feel it now when im driving i plan on changing it out real soon i dont plan on making a vid when i change it cause it's been done on this car on this channel but i will update when i have it installed
