from depression to the peace and quiet of nature
Just retired from the navy, this artist, beyond words or comprehension as helped me find a way to adjust. I put on this album whenever im not feeling to well or having a rough time, and it just knows how to calm me down. A true blessing to have found you guys. I look forward to more of this art.
I cannot express how much I need this right now. I have been in so much self-destructive turmoil for years, and listening to this I have been able to cry and have began to process things I don't know if I am on the road to healing. But at least I am able to cry for the first time.

Que desperdício do dom que é a vida.
Ao olhar as estrelas, você se sente transbordar de admiração? Os mistérios da vida todos ao seu redor, meu amigo, mas sua mente é como uma gaiola. Você nunca experimentará o que não pode tocar. Quanto mais pequena a sala, mais pequena a vivência.
Escrevo-te esta carta, pois a vida é incerta.
E como você entenderá - tudo é temporário. Tudo acaba e tudo evolui.
Tudo está em constante mudança. Cada célula do seu corpo está mudando, então deixe sua mente mudar também. Se não está feliz com quem é - então você não é quem realmente é.
São essas as coisas que quero que pense quando se lembrar de mim.
Saiba que você é uma alma vivendo como humano. Confie em sua intuição. Com prática, ela se tornará seu compasso para te guiar pela vida. Se está aflito, significa que está fazendo algo errado. Aquiete sua mente e sinta. Observe seus pensamentos e mude o que puder.
Você sabe que precisei mudar muito. Tudo em minha vida estava errado, e cara, como sofri com isso.
Eventualmente, eu percebi que não são os acontecimentos ou nossas emoções que nos fazem sofrer, e sim nossa reação a eles.
Tenha isso em mente, meu amigo, como eu lhe disse - um ciclo está chegando ao fim. Tudo passará.
Alegria e sofrimento - o tempo é inexorável com tudo. Ainda assim, somos eternos, além do mundo que conhecemos. Ambos um dia retornaremos à terra o que dela tomamos - quando nossos ossos finalmente descansarem sob o solo da floresta, e nossas almas novamente vagarem pelo céu da meia-noite.

Thank you for this emanation Ofdrykkja! I remember listening to your first album and feeling so touched by your art and resonating with your feelings. However, I took a break for several years from metal music in general as I was transitioning my own internal transformation. When I came back to revisit and analyze what I have been listening to the previous years and see how its creators were doing, it was a pleasure to find out people like you whose music I loved also found a way out of the shit we were at. The music you make is beautiful and inspires me.

I have listened to many albums in my life, and I will continue to do so. But after listening to "After the Storm" by Ofdrykkja, it will be very difficult to find similar material elsewhere. Now this is the album par excellence, it's all there, it's perfect. The world should know about the existence of this masterpiece, and its crowning glory "The Cleansing". I hope for a near future where music is no longer music, but this piece of life

That last track is haunting....beautiful words and insights.
I'll never forget the first time I heard it: I was studying and quite focused on my task. Yet, the track managed to pull me off of my work and provoked a breakdown. I had to take a good break thereafter to be able to refocus. A music able to detach me from whatever I'm doing is quite rare, but also really enjoyable. Thank you Ofdrykkja and AOP.

@@somefallenleaves après chacun perçoit la musique comme il le sent bien sur, mais je suis un éternel dépressif et si il vont mieux je suis content pour eux, mais c'est juste que pour moi AOP record a pour habitude de mettre du black metal au minimum du coup je trouve ça hors sujet... mais bien sûr qu'après heureusement que ça plaît au d'autres.
