Debating between 2023 Rome Ravine Select & K2 Excavator @150lbs & Sz 7.5 feet. What would another board that you would recommend to make this a 2 board quicker for more relaxed days.

    Hey Angry! Love all the reviews. I’m going to be spending a month or so in Japan next season and want to pick up the perfect japow board, ideally would have really good performance on low angle pow and can still aggressively carve on groomers. My riding style leans more towards harvesting as much speed as possible and thrashing instead of a laid back surfy ride. Any of these boards you would say are the best fit for that? Other boards I thought might fit the bill are the ume, peace seeker, super pig, or maybe a Korua dart?

I ride East Coast Advanced to intermediate free ride, moguls groomers ice ice whatever. Normally i ride a 151 or 155 camber / camrocker. But I'm not sure if these are going to be good at a-basin and surrounding areas. So I also have two volume shifted boards. A 142 Burton's stick shift, and it 149 ish war pig. Last year I bought the hovercraft over the Capita navigator and I still wonder what that board would be like in comparison.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  Год назад

      Little softer in the nose, more tail for driving a turn, not as damp as the Hovercraft, similar float, Hovercraft has slightly better edge hold.

  • @toosublime1

    As an Archetype owner too just curious what’s any nuance difference in how the Bataleon Surfer rides different compared to the Archetype?

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  Год назад +1

      Surfer has a better hull shape in the nose so it funnels snow better, the swallowtail is wider so the dispersion is different as well as how it snaps as it's softer when flat basing, I also find the Surfer stiffer underfoot.

      @@plead_da_fif-420 u just said first that there's no pow xD Anyway, i dont have orca, neither want one, though it's versatile enough to be ridden in other terrains as well
