+sexy Emo Furry a 30mm? man that's in a completely different league. You're talking about a round with the energy of over 1600 .45 ACP rounds at once. Not to mention the depleted uranium effects. That could rip through more than half a dozen of these blocks.
@@pjusttheletterpreally.noth2995 Yep couldn't be more right there lol, we love our guns and we're friendly. Despite what you'd hear about most people from Texas, us country folk are just like that ;)
John Harvey its all about shot placement a .22lr to the head is alot more lethal than a .50BMG API(armour piercing incendiary) that misses or hits a finger.
David Fuhr That may be technically true but you say it like accuracy and power are mutually exclusive. While marksmanship tends to go down with absurd cartridges, you don't have to use a wimpy gun to be accurate. I don't think anybody needs a .500 Magnum in their bedside drawer, but militaries stopped using .32 ACP for a good reason.
It is a great series! Might be much more interesting if a slo-mo camera could be added to see how soft materials like Aluminum, how its surface is going to react with the impact with the bullet.
Yeah i am thinking the same.. If it is that thick nothing can get trough aluminium. But it would be sooo heavy for soldiers if they need that thick armor and too expensive too😕
yep, and you see how the bullets deflects from the block as well so it wouldn't really help as they would go into the arms, neck or legs.. But it would make a nice cover to hide behind.
I'm pretty sure there was something in the vicinity, like the core of a ballpoint pen or something similar, that could have been used to measure the depth of the holes.
Holy crap spackle, you guys!! Look at 4:07 . Did that thing bounce back and hit the dirt between them and the target? That made me flinch when I saw that. I thought for sure they were gonna talk about it too.
If you want to know how much it went in then take a stick that's is big as the hole and when it can go farther take a marker or a pencil and mark it then measure it. Your welcome
💡 💡 💡 Just an idea of something you HAVE to get for when you film penetration videos... a Vernier caliper. (Similar to a ruler but this measures width and depth) It doesn’t hardly weigh anything and the best thing about it is on one end is a projecting arm caliper. This would be the side you would use to measure the depths of the different holes. The tool is extremely accurate and they also make ones that have a digital reading screen. And don’t worry, the projecting arm has a small enough rod that would even fit down a .22 hole! It’s also simple and very fast to get a measurement and NO else filming bullet penetration videos is using one. For us viewers it would add one more technical element to the videos to compare the different depths or widths of each round with the depth reading and a visual as you pull the rod out of a hole. You said yourself, some holes you are unable to see the depth and some holes the camera doesn’t quite depict the awesomeness of some of the holes. You should look into it online. Thanks for reading
Call of duty black ops was the best. Now they have just taken it too far i would be fine with it if they created a new game like completely new and made them futuristic instead because its sad to see how shit bo has become

William Garcia A more expensive solution. Aluminium is fine for a vehicle that just needs to ferry grunts and survive small arms and shrapnel. Titanium wouldn't be much of an improvement in practice. While it could still survive small arms fire and shrapnel any dedicated anti armor weapon is going to blast a hole in it almost as easily as aluminium.
Simon Barabash but didn't this guy do a video showing how bullet proof is titanium and nothing penetrated it at all he went all the way up to a 50 cal explosive armor piecing round and it couldn't penetrate That doesn't seem like small arms fire to me
William Garcia 50 cal is small arms, in the grand scheme of things its a fucking peashooter. When I talk about dedicated anti armor weapons I'm talking about at the *very smallest* autocannons with APFSDS rounds, and RPG's or helicopter mounted rockets with HEAT warheads. And these have nothing on ATGMs, both man portable and vehicle mounted, and the 120 or 125mm main guns on tanks. Oh, and the block is far thicker than the armor would be. If you want to have a hope against HEAT warheads with a light vehicle you add reactive armor blocks, slat armor or an active defense system.
Technically, this is possible to do. I'm going to guess the R8 is based off Model M&P R8, so this test could be done. Of course what one is "better" is subjective really, assuming the Desert Eagle is chambered in .357 magnum like the Model M&P R8 is
Flaming Chair Yeah technically. Air resistance (and gravity) is why bullets don't go on forever. So yes, even thick enough air is enough. Space too. But it's more a matter of micrometeorites and other debris than space itself
