Hey Will, I have a question about something I've struggled with, if you have time to answer. I am a single male aged 26. I lift heavy three times a week, I run, I work full time and pursue illustration part time. I am very goal driven and motivated. Long term goal is to be very strong, finacially independent, get a wife and house and start a family. My problem is lust and masturbation. I've gorwn up in a generation that was raised on porn. Although I've been fighting this for years I have never fully overcome it. I go to confession, pray etc but I relapse every now and then. I find that I sexually repress my desires and they become extremely hard to resist, which leads to a relapse. Especially on days where im exhausted from my other pursuits. With that background my question is sort of a two parter. 1-Is it a sin to visualise sex. This helps me with the repression problem and motivates me with my goals. But I am confussed. Am I comitting lust? It seems natural for me to be motivated by this. 2-If it is a sin what is the alternative. How do I avoid sexual repression. This seems to be a common problem in my gerneration.
According to the tradition of the Catholic Church, following the words of Our Lord, It is my understanding that to "get together" ?! - as in marriage? if she (or the man) has been married and divorced (not because of the death of the spouse), you would cause the divorced one to commit adultery and the previously single one would be a fornicator. Your reply, in order to be a help in this case, needs to be thorough as to the serious sinful consequences of such an action. I realize not much remains of those who are teaching the doctrines of the Catholic Church (as in the heirarchy), but this was predicted to happen ( the Great Apostasy; we are commanded to hold fast to the doctrines taught from the beginning, if we want to reach Heaven and obtain salvation.

The question was about whether a man can marry a single mother, not a divorced one. And he may.
Sheesh, this man can smell protestanism through the screen
