  • Manufactured in five generations in the 1960s and 1970s, it was replaced by the downsized Pontiac Grand Am. From 1988 to 1993 the name was resurrected for a badge-engineered version of the Daewoo LeMans manufactured by Daewoo in South Korea.
It is named for the French city of Le Mans which has been the site of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world's oldest active endurance sports car race since it began in 1923.
Listed at www.vintagecarconnections.com, sold in 2021.

That big crome bumper on the back helps it hookup and also gives the guy in the road runner some thing pretty to look at

How smooth the engine sounds at idle, it’s just soothing to the ears.
    Great car !

To me, those 1968-1972 GM A-Body cars are best-looking classic cars. They are easy to work on, and what makes them special is that each GM division had the freedom to design and build their powertrain. They were:
    1968-1972 Chevrolet Chevelle
    /SS/Malibu
    1968-1972 Pontiac Tempest/GTO/LeMans
    1968-1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442/F-85
    1968-1972 Buick Skylark/GSX/Special
    1968-1969 Acadian Beaumont/SD

      👍
      Classic unmistakable profile.
And the power train is why most of them are still around. 😇

My dad bought a '69 Le Mann's with a 350 2-barrel carb. No dual exhausts. Vinyl bucket seats, AM radio and air conditioning. The color was pea green with a dark green vinyl top and dark green interior.

my dad has a '74 Le Mans with a 350 too haha. we put in a 4 barrel carb, x pipe, and he also found out the previous owner had bored it .030 over so it's a 360. the heads were cooked so we replaced them, new springs, lunati voodo cam, and now it runs great!

If you look closely, you can tell the similarities in the LeMans, Chevelles, Olds 442's and the Skylarks. They all shared the same GM A-Body.

Check out my other videos because there is a Verdoro Green 1968 Lemans that I had sold prior to this build. Might help with your trip down memory lane, and possible the drivers seat in the future? Thanks for the nice words. Good day!

68 to 79 Lemans and Tempest are gorgeous cars. I almost like them better than the GTOs..very clean example here...The Pontiac 350 is a smooth motor with great torque! She buzzes right along...nice. I was running a 350 setup with good heads / big cam / H.O. manifolds and quadrajet before I finalized my 400 engine...was very close to same power as my stock Ram Air III 400 build....you can do allot with that 350.

Couldn't agree more! I've yet to have a GTO although I was very close at grabbing an orange "Judge" tribute. You've definitely put a bug in my ear again.. *Opens up Craigslist....*

I agree. GTOs are cool but too popular. Be different get a LeMans or Tempest.

I loved the 68 and 69, LeMans and the GTO. I was 17, and got the last LeMans before emissions. A 72 still cool looking, and that 350ci, rated at 300hp. And today, a 72 like mine, is going for 40k. 😢

Most beautiful body lines of all cars. I had a 68 Tempest Custom with a 400 Judge engine and a 68 LeMans convertible with the factory 350 BB w/AC. Wish I had them back.

Had 68 Lemans red/black vinyl top black interior 350 3speed factory floor shift !!! Great car till a Buddy on a beer run ,was racing a 68 Camaro he went to pass the Camaro & the kid in the Camaro decided to turn left !!! So into a brick wall they both went !!! Bought a 70 GTO 400 4spd white with red interior another friend was out cruising my GTO and did a burnout in front of a cop , decided to run missed a curve got traction & shot straight into somebodies house !!! After that I bought a 65 chevy pickup 327 4spd !!! After that I've never loaned out another vehicle!!!

No interior pics, unless we listen to the drive chain, who would know if is a manual transmission or not ? Other then that the car looks great. ---- had one similar to that in 1971 ... my was manual 3 spd factory floor shift....with dual exhaust as well.

Wally this one sold. But if you follow the channel, when the cars are listed on my website (www.vintagecarconnections.com) the prices are listed as well..
You can also snatch them before I invest more money if you like to work on them yourself. That’s why I show people what I pick up along the way.. ✌️
