Morning guys! My son eirik loves this band and says their lyrics go deep and i been checking them out! He just went to their show and said it was amazing! I think they are really different from most bands and their lyrics ARE deep and poweful! Very kool
This song actually has elements black metal thrown in there, most notably the first verse, and 2nd verse after the first chorus. Otherwise, it's mostly silky metalcore with some Deftones influence.
You guys just need to go down the rabbit hole and start at the beginning of their discography. Not only is there NOT a bad song, it’s a journey. From the start, Vessel had a story to tell, and he’s told it in a way that is as beautiful as it is painful. Sleep Token is art in its highest form, and Vessel is easily one of the greatest artist of our time.

WORSHIP.!! ♥ 2023 is clearly Sleep Token's year. No band comes even close to them, absolutely no one.! Right now they are the holy grail of musical artistry. Definitely album of the year...and so far I've listened to almost 500 new albums this year.
They are one of my all time favorites. Amazing live. As you know Deftones is my absolute fav but these guys are a very close second. So many songs from these guys to check out, just need to do the entire Take Me Back to Eden album. Definitely need to do some older stuff like "Sugar" and "Jericho". 🤘❤️🔥🤘

I keep waiting for this man to do some terrible cliche, or indulge in a generic Trope of the Contemporary metal meets emo genres and they just managed to always come up with something fresh that doesn't feel like they phoned it in. For context, I came up on Progressive music in the 80s and then into death metal and very extreme stuff and never found any sort of Pleasant Home in the nu - metal of the late 90's- 2000s. Even bands who arguably good at what they did, like Linkin Park for example we're pretty flat on my ears just two formulaic for the tough guy vocals and then the melodic part comes in and blah blah blah in chorus chorus ride it out Etc. Not bad per se just not my thing. But this band really keeps things moving in an interesting Direction and their electronics are done well and more textural than anything else, dudes are really playing their hearts out and I feel it. They are a good good band.
First song of theirs I heard. Definitely took me a while to warm up when I heard the rest were much different than vore. I’m a huge fan now. Their second album is my favorite but the new one is a close second. Also usually start my ST playlist with Will by Blacklit Cabopy. Leo Faulkner’s side project. Sorry Vessel’s side project.
