As an Australian , I always click on this type of Video . To see what type of Bullshit someone from another part of the World has
" Dreamed Up " about my Home . THIS was very well researched and quite accurate . WELL DONE .
And now you made me watch the video.
Agree (from Brissy). I am glad they referred to Fraser Island as “Fraser Island”. Brisbane has great rooftops venues and our climate is great to enjoy them anytime. The only thing I disagreed with was the time to visit. Mate, any time. Any bloody time.

I spent 3 month in Australia and can honestly say "enjoyed every minute"
I was in that continent 40 years ago, it is still vivid in my mind.
Excellent information about one of the beautiful and marvellous countries in this earth (Australia)
I love this country and the positive people who own this land..? Thank you ❤️
I’ve lived in both countries and I can tell you Australia is much better than US

Your reality is very different from many others. That depends on good luck too. However, the Aussie reality nowadays is indeed QUITE DIFFERENT from what was shown above (besides its nature/environment and good people here).
We are glad you like it here. Virtual hug to you. Your original country and people are friendly and kind. My family has Irish and Aboriginal heritage.

I have lived in Australia for 46 years and I must say it's a great country. I have visited and worked in other countries and to me it is the best. I am now enjoying my retirement in this wonderful country. My wife is from the US and she loves it here.
We left NZ 20 years ago, as we could see the writing on the wall and Labour's ardern seriously rootd the country during her socialist commie reign. And we would never go back, as Australia has been fantastic to us, still is in comparison to the likes of UK, the EU, and if Trump gets cheated out of his rights, to make America great again, your country will also be rootd like NZ and the EU, and the UK. We just feel for our family in Wales.

Australia is not what it used to be, everything has become so expensive and the people just put up with it. The government needs to step in and make things more affordable for everyone
Why do you think everything is so expensive? It IS because of the government they don't care for anyone else but themselves!
People just put up with it WTF ,Australia has had more prime minister in the last 15 years than most ,the government and the dickheads that keep voting for the wankers ,purely based on the bullshit to be elected than they shit on you and don't do any of i
They're the ones that's making things more unaffordable.
You need to get a better job.
Our government's spending habits are the reason the cost of everything is rising. I couldn't agree more about Australia not being what it used to be. We used to be a proper country.
The country is beautiful most people are nice but the politicians and their masters ruined it. Most people live pay cheque to pay cheque and can barely pay their bills. Homelessness is rising quickly. Its scary
I am from India and living Australia from the last 22 years This country gave me whatever I want only thing is you need to work hard what you are talking is bullshit
Scared of paying your own bills?

Used to be a great country, in the 70s and 80s, just try to buy a house, or a pack of cigarettes anywhere in Australia this days, and don't you dare go 5 km over the speed limit, otherwise, great country ,,
The tolerance of Speed Limit is 10 kph, in order to give us room when driving down a slope, or to take over a truck in front etc.
But increase our speed 5 kph in 60k limit will increase the possible danger 3x.

Nicely done!
Actually voting or filling in the ballot papers is NOT compulsory but what is compulsory is that you have your name crossed off the listed of names on the electoral role when each election is held. But you don't have to physically vote if you don't want to. The is no CCTV camera above each voting booth watching what you do in that booth and your name is not on the ballot papers. When you put your ballot papers in the marked boxes there's an AEC official standing there to make sure you put the right ballot paper in the right box but they have no right whatsoever to see who you have or haven't voted for. If you decide for some reason to show them your vote is declared invalid and the your ballot papers are destroyed.
All elections are held on a Saturday and local groups show up to sell things and offer food making it a carnival like atmosphere. The democracy sausage is well ingrained Australian tradition at elections. It's a proper sausage on a slice of bread with tomato sauce and if you get there early enough, onions too and you have to buy it if you want it.
Also, the "$20 administrative penalty" for failing to vote isn't particularly draconian.
Yes, I go to get my name crossed off, go draw a mickey mouse, fold the papers and shove them in a box. There I have voted!!
Australia is the next western nation that calls its Elected Feudalism, Democracy and freedom... Freedom?
Australians have to Vote for an elected Feudalist's puppet every 3 years!
If you fail to have your name crossed, you'll pay a hefty fine for ignoring your Black and White Puppets and your Cabalists Grand Masters who're the owners of your elected Feudalists who're forcing everyone to obey and pay. Or, Else!!!

AUSTRALIA ... The 51st State !
Piss right off
Australia is the best country ever!
The Australian flag used to be red, but in the 50s the Prime Minister, Robert Menzies, thought that a red flag meant we were communists, so (without consulting the people) he changed the colour of the flag. The Red Ensign is still used for naval applications

Right now, most people are struggling to pay bills.
Food prices are going through the roof.
Petro/Gas is high.
The government has to give more money back on there tax refunds.
But most people have late model cars, pay for coffe, breakfast, take-away meals, own pets, have pet insurance, pay for gym memberships, pay for flat screen TV’s.
@@michaelbutler1557 No they do not.
The median income is insufficient to pay for a decent standard of living for a family of four and well below that to enable the purchase of a modest residence.
But facts have never been the province of the self satisfied and self serving.
I have many family memebers over in all parts of Australia, and they all praise the country and its people in high regard. All of them living there have dine very well and have always been employed, and i personally have been back and forth working for years.

Got expensive in the last 20years. But still a beautiful country.
#47 - Currency is probably most famous for the notes being made of plastic instead of cotton paper.
#38 - Enrolment to vote & attendance at a polling booth are compulsory. Voting after check-in is secret, therefore optional.
#26 - Despite being among the most venomous, snakes typically retreat to avoid conflict unless accidentally stepped upon.
#21 - Bob Hawke became Prime Minister almost 3 decades after this beer drinking infamy. He reformed his image.
#00 - Established as UK's remote convict dump after USA achieved independence.
I'm a Pom and have been living in Oz for 42 years.. I must say, I feel I'm settling in quite well..:)
As an antropologist I must bring to your attention that the Aboriginals in Australia doesnt have the world's oldest culture. This prize goes to the Nile valley civilization.
Shortly... Australia is Heaven on Earth 😂
New Zealand did legislate for women's right to vote in 1893. In 1894, the colony of South Australia became the second place to do that and in 1895 the first to give women the right to stand for election to parliament. In 1899, Western Australia also gave women the right to vote.
The Commonwealrh of Australia came into existence on 1 January 1901. South Australia and Western Australia became States within the federation, New Zealand did not. In 1902, the Commonwealth gave women in all States the rights to vote and stand for election in federal elections.
Unless of course these women were Aboriginal, their women were not given the same kind of rights that you're so confidently boasting about. The women you are talking about were WHITE women, in other words IMMIGRANTS, which brings us back to, "but these women were born here", maybe so, but just because a dog is born in a stable, it doesn't become a horse. YOU invaded Australia which is the land of the Aboriginals. Now it's being invaded again and YOU as the original immigrants, don't like it, Pot, Kettle, Black, comes to mind!
And look where the hell we are now. Those elected ladies may be called 'Teals' by other neer-do-well politicians, but anyone owning a full roof [brain] refers to them by a different Australian monica. [name]. And that will stick longer than Murray River mud.
You didn't explain why Burger King is called Hungry Jacks here. You just said that it is.
The reason is that when Burger King started here in the 70s there was a tiny little hamburger shop in Queensland that already had the name. Burger King tried to bully them into giving it up, but the court ruled in favour of the little shop. So they went with Hungry Jacks instead
That shop is long gone now. A few years back, Hungry Jacks tried to change their name to Burger King, but no-one knew who they were, so they stuck with Hungry Jacks
Jack Cowin, born 13 July 1942, is a Canadian-Australian businessman and entrepreneur with a long-term involvement in franchised fast food chains in Australia and Canada. Cowin brought KFC to Australia, founded and owns Hungry Jack's, which is the Burger King franchise in Australia, and has at various stages controlled the Domino's Pizza franchise in Australia prior to its 2005 listing on the ASX.

true :) I feel so lucky settled in Australia
We visited family in 2003 when we retired and drove to many places on our own first. I found the Aussies friendly and thought Victoria in the south a bit like lovely Devon in England but obviously larger. The only miserable person we came across (in 3 months there) was a waitress in Noosa where I had a steak in a restaurant and I could not get my teeth through it (my husband's steak was good). But she was quite rude to me as if it was 'my' fault the steak was tough! However she was the only Aussie who was rude. Also we bought fish and chips in a south coast shop, they were the worst we'd "ever" tasted (fish was nearly raw inside the soft batter. Other than that we thought highly of Australia and the food was great. One day up the east coast we got out of our hire-car to study a map. A man pulled up, introduced himself and helped us to find where we were heading. Fantastic, how kind of him. Also I felt more at home walking along the High Street of Sydney than I do (nowadays) in my own local city. Well done Aussies, thank you for lovely memories. We love you and your beautiful country - from beautiful Warwickshire, England.
Bob Hawke was Prime Minister of Australia from 1983 until 1991. He did not drink the beer in 1954.

One of the highest taxed work forces in the world, number 3 I think.
Have you seen the public assets you get for that ? It's truly the lucky county

So many families live in tents as rents just go up and up . In the 80 and 90 you didn't need two parents working and you could buy a home and live comfortably certainly not the case these days , schooling was supposed to be free no child would ever go without 1 priminister promised . Heath system is discusting . But if you come by boat illegally, you will get a home , job ect handed to you ...
Voting is NOT compulsory! Having your name crossed off IS! Once in the booth it's up to the individual if they vote or not.
It's not voting that is compulsory - just attendance. You can turn up and have your name crossed off the list, then go home if you want
Great, thank you
I live in Canberra the capital of Australia (not Sydney).
All countries have problems and Australia is no different. I retired here after living in US , UK, and NZ, only because medical services are free if you’re not in a hurry, ER in hospitals are free if no insurance.
AU is around the same age as USA but nowhere near as developed,
Racism is alive and well and history tells u of aboriginal women being raped and all half caste children were taken and put into religious boarding schools. There is now a Stolen generation still trying to find their parents.
Alcoholism is a way of life, domestic violence is rife, teens run wild at night .
There are only 3 train lines . One from The north east to Central area then u have to go inland by coach for an hr to continue to Sydney.
Another train takes u to Melbourne and another to Perth on the west coast. If want to travel north to Darwin there is only one line and it’ll cost u $3000!
Homelessness is at crisis point with the cost of housing being out of reach to the working classes. Drugs are becoming a real problem with Fentanyl coming in on ships.
Alcohol has always been a problem in AU as there nothing to do unless you live in a major city and even then hotels and bars are everywhere. Drunken fights on the city streets is common and quite a few tourists go home in a black bag!
Of course the obvious downside is the poisonous snakes , spiders , and many toxic sea creatures.
Huge crocodiles swim in the sea on northern beaches along with sharks so swimming is only in netted areas.
There’s plenty more negatives but there’s no time to tell all.
The positives are mainly the rugged scenery of the interior but that’s best viewed by helicopter. That’s why camels were brought here , they’re about the only way to travel the interior.
Happy travels!
That sounds more like it. Thank you for being honest. 😉

Interesting to watch as an Austrailian from the East Coast of NSW but the wildlife aspect a bit lacking. We have a lot of diversity not mentioned here including 7 out of 10 of the world's most venomous snakes (the Eastern Brown shown is No 2 or 3 depending on the fierce snakes stsus as separate species or 'just another Taipan'. Eastern Browns are extremely aggressive but also have enough venom per bite to kill 10 adults, we also have the world's most venomous spider (male) Sydney Funnel Web can and has killed both adults and children and also the same species as the US Black Widow but they're seen just as pests, not a threat here), the world's most / only? venomous octopus in the Blue Ring (mainly NSW south of Sydney), which can kill in a few minutes, the world's most venomous jellyfish (Qld's " box jellyfish) again can kill in minutes) possibly the world's most dangerous bird (Qld's Casuary) which is very territorial and can disembowel people with a quic kick, the unique and often misunderstood as timid or gentle kangaroo (also capable of a disembowelled kick and also for drowning threads in dams, rivers etc (particularly during breeding season and mothers with joeys), large amounts of sharks including several known to attack or kill people, and also parasitic species varying from tics, leeches, and worst of all, politicians, that want suck the life out of all they can, not as friendly environment as its often shown to be (especially the final one which is widespread throughout the continent but I still wouldn't live anywhere else for shit
