Friendliest yes, safest? Absolutely fucking not. Is super dangerous in the center mostly at night. Y should go to what we call interior of the country, You gonna find something to do and see. Something that always happens to tourists who try paraguayan food is that vendors never tell them that chipa and mbeju, for example, are usually accompanied by coffee or cocido, with or without milk... Same with sopa paraguaya, which's better with foods such as an asado or another main dish (just like the mandioca or yuca that Reyka likes so much). I'm from Brazil and been following you guys ever since you've been here and I just want to say that, while Paraguay isn't the most exciting place to visit in South America, its definitely the most interesting country to live. I'm just waiting for my father's cancer treatment to end and I'll definitely be packing and moving there with the little family business, or start a new one entirely. The safety, the fair taxes, the fair prices for food, land, imports, the friendly people... everything makes Paraguay a great place for those of us who are tired of working to sustain a very big and corrupt government. And people say there aren't much there, which also means lots of oportunities. They're enthusiastic with inovation, jobs and wealth creation immigrants bring, and hopefully I'll be one of these soon, giving my two cents to help develop a country that appreciates its hardworking people, unlike Brazil.

Paraguay is one of the most interesting countries in South America, if not the world. First of all, it is bicultural--everybody speaks both Spanish and Guarani. Second, it has a fascinating history. One need to read up on it to fully appreciate what one sees. Third, it has a marvelous arts scene. When I visited a gallery I couldn't buy just one painting. I bought two and I wish I could have bought more. Someone from US Embassy told me that whenever people from the US visit Paraguay they always end up gobsmacked by the high quality of Paraguayan art. O sea no castigar. Fascinante realmente

Hey great review! I am flying to Asuncion in November (then to Uruguay) and honestly I didn't know much about the country, but it's been on my bucketlist. BTW, I especially loved the food reviews. I have tours lined up for 2 days and the rest I will be on my own to explore.
Dueling is not legal, it does not happen. No matter how many organs you give away or how many doctors are present. Ridiculous legend. You should check the validity of what you share.
I am Paraguayan, that is a classic thing to say about the country, it comes from the fact that our constitution experienced a lot of changes with amendments, the duel part remains without changes since the last time they change the constitution, but just as an unnecesary amendment because is something ambiguous, but it is a fact, don't worry
YOOOO, Im from Paraguay, I really recommend you two to try and see some of the Folklore characters of our amazing country! Is not a place recommendation, but, y’know, just for you both to know more of our country🇵🇾
Pastel mandi'o and pajagua are made with 'mandioca,' which most people call Yuca, not with flour. Chipa and mbeju are made from corn flour and starch. We usually accompany chipa and mbeju with coffee or cocido (a traditional Paraguayan drink). We usually eat soup with a meal for lunch or dinner. I loved your video. I'm glad you had a good time in Paraguay. There are many beautiful places in Paraguay such as Encarnación, San Bernardino, La Colmena, etc., that you can also visit. I hope you can come back soon!

@@WyattandReyka Now I've noticed two small things for correction: 1:07 - Instead of "Hueatia" it should be "buen viaje", basically meaning safe travels :) 14:16 - It should say "los pájaros son geniales". While you guys use the word "sick" meaning something is awesome, the translation is literal: "los pájaros están enfermos" --> this means that the birds are sick (regarding illness). Everything else is on point
Hello guys, how nice to see you walking in Paraguayan lands. It is gratifying that you have visited us It is a green country with very friendly people.
The most important thing about paraguayan food is context ;) mbeju is nicer on a cold day with cocido (kinda like a yerba mate tea) sopa is better with asado, chipa is so good when on the road and pastel mandio is a yuca empanada which is good always!
Bienvenidos!!!
Paraguay has many beautiful places to visit outside Asunción, natural landmarks, not man-made. But the one thing that most tourists mention liked better from our country is our hospitality. Maybe it's because we don't get the amount of tourists other countries in the region do, so we are super nice to the ones who come. Anyway, if you have the chance of coming back, you should visit cities like Aregua, Atyra or San Bernardino. PD: the expression "landlocked island" is atributed to Augusto Roa Bastos, Paraguay's greatest writer ever, winner of the prestigious Cervantes Award
The traditional dishes are best accompanied with mate cocido, bc they tend to be on the drier side. Like a a "traditional breakfast" would be the chipa or mbeju with mate cocido.
Wow Paraguay seems very peaceful country clean and people also seems very friendly i saw on global corruption index and it shows me that Paraguay is corrupt country in latin America 😮but after watching this video i think that information probably wrong love from Pakistan ❤
It is actually true! Paraguay has it struggles with corruption with their politicians, but still that doesn't change the fact that it's civilians are one of the most kindest and welcoming people.

Hi, your video is awesome! I like your presentation and comments! Your energy is overwhelming! Just an FYI, at 7,40 you mentioned the triple alliance war. Loved the video you two!
Thank you Justin!!! ❤️🥰 we are hard at work editing more 😘
Hey great review! I am flying to Asuncion in November (then to Uruguay) and honestly I didn't know much about the country, but it's been on my bucketlist. BTW, I especially loved the food reviews. I have tours lined up for 2 days and the rest I will be on my own to explore.
So awesome! You'll have a great time. 🥰
Enjoy the tours and the food and soak it all up! We hope to go back one day!
Welcome to Paraguay, I’m sure you both had a great time there ❤
Terere; It is a drink with Cold and Hot tea
There is one more thing! Personally, you would be invited to a family bakery named Kitchen Vidad.
We did love Paraguay!! It is such an interesting, unique country. Thanks so much for watching our video 🥰
Dueling is not legal, it does not happen. No matter how many organs you give away or how many doctors are present. Ridiculous legend. You should check the validity of what you share.
We double checked it! It seems there is maybe conflicting information about this online. What is your source?
I am Paraguayan, that is a classic thing to say about the country, it comes from the fact that our constitution experienced a lot of changes with amendments, the duel part remains without changes since the last time they change the constitution, but just as an unnecesary amendment because is something ambiguous, but it is a fact, don't worry
The punishment, so to speak, is just a fine. This comes from the fact that, defending your honor, it was considered as self defense still
Sorry for my grammar😅
This is helpful! Thank you 🥰 and your grammar is solid. Don’t worry!
YOOOO, Im from Paraguay, I really recommend you two to try and see some of the Folklore characters of our amazing country! Is not a place recommendation, but, y’know, just for you both to know more of our country🇵🇾
Thank you for the amazing recommendation to get more insights into Paraguay culture! We’ll try to check it out!
Good video bro 🇵🇾🙌🏻
Thanks brother! 🥰
Buen vídeo. Bienvenidos a Paraguay ❤🇵🇾.
Gracias!! 🥰 nos encantó paraguay
Thank you so much for the information and for watching!! 🥰 we loved exploring Paraguay
Thank you so much for visiting my country, glad to have you here guys! Enjoy your staying :) and tell us about your full experience after leaving the country if you guys do!
OMG! I’m looking at your profile name and just wondering if you are in dentistry?? I’m from Paraguay and I’m a dental hygienist. Saludos
@@raquelgutierrez79 Hey, Raquel! That's awesome :D. Unfortunately, I'm in war against dentists due to my choice of artist name haha. Jokes aside, I'm not a dentist but an artist, music producer, mixing and mastering engineer. Saludos desde Asunción!
We loved Paraguay! It was our pleasure to come hang out for a while 🥰
Quick question: were the subtitles good? Did they make a lot of sense or no?
@@WyattandReyka They make 100% sense, great job! ♥
@@WyattandReyka Now I've noticed two small things for correction:
1:07 - Instead of "Hueatia" it should be "buen viaje", basically meaning safe travels :)
14:16 - It should say "los pájaros son geniales". While you guys use the word "sick" meaning something is awesome, the translation is literal: "los pájaros están enfermos" --> this means that the birds are sick (regarding illness).
Everything else is on point
❤buen video un saludo desde thompson..paraguay
Saludos!! Muchas gracias!
Hello guys, how nice to see you walking in Paraguayan lands. It is gratifying that you have visited us It is a green country with very friendly people.
It is very green and people are very friendly! Huge too. Can’t wait to come back
Muchas gracias
A ti!! 🥰
That country seems very chill (not in temperature but vibes).
Greeting from The Republic of Luque!
Super chill!
Gracias a ti!!
Welcome to Paraguay! Hopefully you'll get time to check out the region of Corderilla...Caacupe, Piribebuy, Atyra, Altos, Tobati... much to see.
We would love to that sounds like a blast!! 🥰 next time we’ll explore more inland 👍
The most important thing about paraguayan food is context ;) mbeju is nicer on a cold day with cocido (kinda like a yerba mate tea) sopa is better with asado, chipa is so good when on the road and pastel mandio is a yuca empanada which is good always!
Next time we're in paraguay, we'll get the mbeju with cocido and the sopa with asado! Thank you s much for helping us out! 🤗
Aw!! Paraguayan born/raised in the US here! Rohayhu Paraguay! Bolsi was a good choice
That's awesome! 🥰 Glad to know we went to a good restaurant there! Cheers and hope you enjoyed the video!
Bienvenidos!!!
Thank you!!! We love Paraguay and can’t wait to explore more in the future 👍🥰
Hi Guys 👋im from Paraguay and I Love Paraguay is the best country in South America 🇵🇾 Greetings from Paraguay 👋🇵🇾
We love Paraguay! That awesome it’s your home. Cheers 🥰❤️
🇵🇾🇵🇾🇵🇾❤
🇵🇾🇵🇾🇵🇾
Paraguay has many beautiful places to visit outside Asunción, natural landmarks, not man-made. But the one thing that most tourists mention liked better from our country is our hospitality. Maybe it's because we don't get the amount of tourists other countries in the region do, so we are super nice to the ones who come.
Anyway, if you have the chance of coming back, you should visit cities like Aregua, Atyra or San Bernardino.
PD: the expression "landlocked island" is atributed to Augusto Roa Bastos, Paraguay's greatest writer ever, winner of the prestigious Cervantes Award
So cool and great things to know!! 🥰 cheers and thanks for watching our little video! 😘
The traditional dishes are best accompanied with mate cocido, bc they tend to be on the drier side. Like a a "traditional breakfast" would be the chipa or mbeju with mate cocido.
Really good to know!! We’ll have some next time we come 🥰 thank you!!
11:16 pastel mandi'o has a dough made of yucca (manioc). That's the point of it.
Oh it’s made of yucca?! That’s so cool!
@@Wiko-lb3qe yep i saw it but an other fact is PG passport is strong they and travel to Europe visa free
Paraguay may have its issues (like everywhere) but it’s really a great country!!
Welcome❤
Thank you!! 🥰😘
Very beautiful country and good people 🇵🇾
Amazing! 🥰
Thank you!! Government palace looks beautiful🥰
Very nice country 👍🤗
@@WyattandReyka I recommend a place that I visited in 2021 in Ibaraki Japan that looks like heaven on earth because it is covered in blue flowers. The park is called Seasid Park Hitachi and blooms from May to June.
@@WyattandReyka search and see photos on google that might interest you about this place in Japan that few media know about
Nice video 👍👍👍

We will! Any specific recommendations?
@@WyattandReykaMisiones or the chaco 😍 encarnacion or paraguari !!
Hi, your video is awesome! I like your presentation and comments! Your energy is overwhelming! Just an FYI, at 7,40 you mentioned the triple alliance war. We have to remember that Rutherford B Hayes, president 19th of USA was pivotal at renegotiating a deal so Paraguay could regain part of their land in the Chaco province. Again thanks, keep up the good work!
Thank you! 🙏❤️ 🇵🇾
And that’s crazy!!
6:32 It is true, most of the tourist we get are mostly just other Paraguayans from other cities which is always funny 😂
Hahaha very interesting. So locals travel throughout their own country? That seems pretty fun 🤔🥰
Nice haircut and good job guys!!
Thank you! 😘
thank you for visiting my country
Our pleasure!! 🥰😘
oh great, I have also lived in Paraguay for 14 years and if you want to experience something you can come to the market in San Bernardino every Saturday from 9am.🎉❤❤

Paraguayan here, you guys definitely have to try the meat here, the "our way", ASADOO. I'm also from the Germans that live here, not really German but yeah, this country is very rich in culture.
Super good to know thanks for the suggestion 🥰 we’ll try to keep that in mind next time we’re there 😘

The bolsi is a good place to eat any food but no paraguayan tipical food. Maybe the next time i can cook for us good asado and paraguayan tipical food (sopa paraguaya, chipa guasu, soyo, tortilla paraguaya, mbeju, chicharõ huitî , cocido quemado, sopa so’o, pastel mandi’o, pajagua mascada, etc. Thank you for visite us. My country is your country and we always wait for you with open arms.
Great advice! We heard bolsi had traditional food but next time maybe we have to go somewhere else. Do you have any suggestion?? 🤔😘
