Guaran i is pronounced (wah-rah-nee), with the accent on the last i. The lace work is called ñandu ti (nyan du tee) accent on the last syllable. Embroidery is called a' ho po'i. (ah-oh po ee) accent on the last i again.

My best friend of many years in the US is from Paraguay. She's told me all about in and sent pictures over the years from her visits back there, but your tour and history lessons have really helped understand it better. The people seem very friendly, hospitable and proud to share their heritage.

Hi man, i like to see you doing your own tour. That's the daily lunch for the Paraguayan working class. If your still in here you can try the other tradicional food. We have a festival called "Fiesta de San Juan", it's happening during the week (23 of June is the date). You should try mbeju, chipa and sopa Paraguaya (this one is a solid soup) and chipa guasu.
I think you should visit the countryside sometime, the nature and landscapes are beautiful. The Paraguay experience is not about shows or manmade impresive buildings, it's about the kind people and beautiful nature, so it depends on the turist eyes to see the beauty.
Saludos desde Paraguay, have a nice journey!

      Just to add:
      - Hot máte caliente or ka'ay in Guaraní, I particularly drink it everyday in the early hours of the madrugada/dawn.
      - Cold tereré mixed with yuyos/herbs/pohã ñaná/hierbas medicinales like mint, cedrón, burrito, sarsaparilla, etc., we start drinking it around 8-10 am but not before eating some breakfast/brunch or tereré rupá (bed/base for tereré).
      - And well, there's also cocido quemado (toasted? yerba máte with sugar) which is best than coffe (sorry not sorry 😁), we drink this instead of ka'ay/máte sometimes.

11:53 Brother, mate was born in Paraguay. The Guaraní people who lived in the province of Paraguaria (present-day Paraguay) were the first to consume and harvest yerba mate. Its consumption and production extended to what is now Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. They also consume it in part of Bolivia and Chile. It is an ancient infusion without borders.

Can I ask your level of Spanish proficiency? Paraguay obviously would be harder to navigate than more cosmopolitan cities like Rio and B.A.

Paraguayans are not mulatos; they are mestizo - 50% European 50% Guarani Indian. You will rarely if at all see black people in Paraguay because they make up less than 2% of the countries population. You’d have to visit them in Kamba Kua. Unlike Brazil, our neighbor has more Africans due to the slave trade history. ALSO, the population is not small because its landlocked. The population is small because of the genocide that was committed (Brazils dirty little secret)- 90% of the male population was killed. Many variations and versions told about this war, usually by Brazil but the truth is they committed genocide against Paraguay. Which put the country very behind and we are overshadowed by our neighbors (Brazil and Argentina). Felt the need to comment/correct you on that because many will watch your video and be misinformed with wrong facts.
