@@Glitterbandits I did not know THIS demo version existed till now! Think it's safe-to-assume the record company told to tone down the lyrics! Hell, this early take is only slightly less hostel than "you're pretty face is going to Hell" by Iggy! (There's a similar story involving Peter Criss and the unused version of "Beth"...)
@@l.salisbury1253 At the time of this demo, the lyrics were very hastily written just to get the demo recorded. Apparently there was nothing particularly sinister/seedy intended when the lyrics were written, just inexperience in songwriting and much pressure to write them quickly. As we know, someone rightly decided to have them rewritten before re-recording the song for single release.
