Thank you for this video and its advice. The best and most sensible, the most respectful of their subject too, that I have heard for a long time. And your sensitivity on this subject - it's one individual not a specie - far surpasses the purely technical approach seen in many official OMDS videos. Thank you for that.
Hi Lee what a very valuable and educational video this is. This really helps me. thank you for this beautiful learning moment. greetings from the Netherlands❤
I started photography on safari in South Africa 40 years ago and could not agree with your approach more. I have spent many hours with lion, leopard and cheetah and capturing their personalities to me is very important. Capturing a female leopard with her cub sharing intimate moments and you don’t have to have the whole body of each animal. Getting the catchlight in an elephant’s eye surrounded by that textured skin, photographing a red billed oxpecker cleaning ticks off the lip of a white rhino. I love looking for those special moments.
Great video. Love the idea of photographing, not just the animal, but attempting to capture the personality of that particular subject. Always look forward to Sundays so I can watch your new videos. Thanks for all the helpful advice.
Great tips, Lee. I shoot for field guides, so not going to stop making those images. But you've made compelling arguments for *also* shooting more artistic images. Thank you.
Thanks!
Much appreciated sir!
