Content design is a discipline for designing content on the internet that is about more than words. Good content design allows people to do or find out what they need to simply and quickly using the most appropriate content format available. It begins with user needs.

Hi Giles. This is a really informative video. Do you require formal qualifications to be a CD? I ask because I am a physics and math's teacher at the moment, with a Masters in Systems Engineering and am thinking of transferring careers. I have also spent several years writing project safety reports (PSR) for the nuclear industry and really enjoyed it. Your description of the role of a CD has really inspired me to look into this career, but I'm unsure whether I require formal qualifications? If you have a few minutes to point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
