Not me making a new video after 3 whole months 😭 🤚 How do these RUclipsrs pump out content so easily?? Anyway, thanks for watching this video! Stay tuned for the next one 😊
Love this video Yyvonne! It's super helpful for me who is interested in UX and considering content design. I'm currently a UX design intern but have been shifting more interest to content design since I have a background in translation. I would love to hear your thoughts about how being bilingual can be a plus in content design!
This is a wonderful idea 💡 I love when content designers speak more than 1 language-having that “translation background” helps scaling the product/app globally a lot.
Thank you for this! I'm going to school for technical communication (user experience concentration) and I want to be a UX writer and/or content designer. I realized these roles overlap alot and content design is much more common than UX writer. Thank you for explaining this!
I loved your video. It explained the various aspects of our jobs so well. And I loved the Jesse James Garrett reference to the five layers of UX. I need to pull that book out and give it another read. So good.
I’m so glad you like it, Soomin. Being bilingual is a huge plus for a content designer-would love to share more on that in the future. (I may or may not checked out your channel 🤪)
What an interesting video, keep it up. 😄 I have an interest in learning about UI/UX design? In the end of learning the two, I'll chose which one I want to do.
Thanks for the video! I love the whole concept 🤗. I'd like to ask, what tools you use as a content designer when working on microcopies and UI content in general? Thanks!
YES YVONNE!! This video is so helpful. 🌱 As someone exploring content design and UX, videos like this are incredibly valuable in understanding different aspects of the role. Also, I've seen UX Writer/ UX Content Design/ Content Designer thrown around. Do these all represent the same type of role and responsibilities? Or are there nuances between them? Thank you 🌟
Oooh maybe I should do a deep dive on this. Very subtle nuances but the industry seems to shift towards “content design” instead of UX writing. I recommend reading the article by Uber Design when they shifted from UX writing to Content Design.
Hey Yvonne! Thanks a lot for this great video. It's so rich 😍 I'm very interested by Content Design. I'd really like to know : 1- the difference between a content designer and an ux writer. 2- the path to become ux writer and/or content designer. Thanks again Yvonne! You're amazing 😍
Great video Yvonne! I'm trying to break into Content Design, what do you think is the best way to land a job in this field? For context, I have a UX Design certificate and copywriting experience.
Omgggggg!! CONGRATULATIONS 🍾. My advice is to just take it slow. Being new is a great value add because you’re way less biased towards the product. You got this. Congratulations again :)
This is super informative! I prefer this video over the long Linkedin job description that is far from what you're explaining lol. So would you say you're kind of a hybrid of content writer + ux designer?
Thank you, Vivian. I’m glad that the video was helpful. I think you nailed it. In addition, I think it’s important to remember that writing is absolutely designing too. Design is more than colors & visual elements.

Because youtubers get paid for it. Loads
As a UX designer with extensive content background, it's interesting to see that this option exists. Sounds like a dream!
I’m always shocked by how many UX designers today don’t know we even exist 🤣
Love the video, it definitely clears up better than a job description lol. I also like the creativity you're using to make these videos!
Yay. Glad it was helpful. Thank you, Jacob!
Ahh ! This was a eye opener those who want to know what is content Design ! Thanks ya 💗 Love the whole content 🌱 Waiting for more videos 🔥
Thank you so much, Nisha :)

@yvonnexiao Is Content Design a couple of steps above UX/UI designer, position wise? Whats the level of position?
UX/UI
Sr. UX/UI
Lead UX/UI
......???
Same leveling as UX/Product designers. Manager tracks are additional options.
@@yvonnexiao thanks.
i really like your videos, i just subscribed
Thank you so much, Shamique. Let me know what else you’d like to see in the future!
yay yvonne!!
Hehe thanks bestie
nice one too!
💜💜💜💜
Nice video!
Thank you, Qiuhan!
As a friend, I would say, so you are the web equivalent of the grammer police? lol Great explanation mixed with great entertainment!
LOLLLL I had “grammar police” in my original script but thought it was too controversial 🫣🫣
@@yvonnexiao Way too controversial indeed, good call lol
You edited this video?
It’s all @WenHuber :)
