Love this video Yyvonne! It's super helpful for me who is interested in UX and considering content design. I'm currently a UX design intern but have been shifting more interest to content design since I have a background in translation. I would love to hear your thoughts about how being bilingual can be a plus in content design!
This is a wonderful idea 💡 I love when content designers speak more than 1 language-having that “translation background” helps scaling the product/app globally a lot.
Thank you for this! I'm going to school for technical communication (user experience concentration) and I want to be a UX writer and/or content designer. I realized these roles overlap alot and content design is much more common than UX writer. Thank you for explaining this!

YES YVONNE!! This video is so helpful. 🌱 As someone exploring content design and UX, videos like this are incredibly valuable in understanding different aspects of the role. Also, I've seen UX Writer/ UX Content Design/ Content Designer thrown around. Do these all represent the same type of role and responsibilities? Or are there nuances between them? Thank you 🌟
Oooh maybe I should do a deep dive on this. Very subtle nuances but the industry seems to shift towards “content design” instead of UX writing. I recommend reading the article by Uber Design when they shifted from UX writing to Content Design.
