Hi. I got my 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie GT Night Edition 5.7 HEMI eTorque for $62k. It does not have the Ram boxes, spray on bedliner or multi-purpose tailgate. But it does have the panoramic roof which I love.
Do NOT get the air suspension in Canada 🇨🇦 worst thing you can do !!!! Air line break Compressor gives out all due to the cold 🥶 rides amazing in summer but winter is bad will get stuck on different ride Heights ..
Great review Dan. Agree with all ypur points. I also think the excessive ride height on these trucks cut down on usability. Prices on pickups and SUVs are loony. People keep taking out huge loans on them so its hard to fault the manufacturers. People are dumb and will do seven year loans when they shouldn't
Agree. My '93 Chevy one ton had a low tailgate. As did my 95 Nissan hardbody. It makes loading and unloading so much easier. Why do you need such high ride height when you will almost never go offroad?
Bud I bought one in 2023 for 80 cdn and got it out the door for 60 with taxes just didn't get the dumb stuff u don't need like the back boxes crazy tailgate don't need air ride etc
Enjoyed your detailed video, but I have to say never owning a truck and this week have been shopping for a high-end truck… I just test drove the Ram Limited, the Laramie GT, and Ford F150 platinum and lariat. Very disappointed with the Ford product, the fit and finish and materials is just junk…the leather is Cheap, door panels, knobs, all the plastic squeaks like an old door. The road quality was not as nice as well. The quality and material is not even in the same ball park. Although the eco-boost is faster for sure by a small margin, but if I wanted fast I get another sports car. Never owned a domestic product, but Ram is taking this one
Truck prices have got way out of control!!! When I bought my truck in 2017 prices were high I thought around $45K they need a serious price correction just like the housing market. Otherwise, who can afford to buy and drive them!!!
Lmao 20K more for an aftermarket exhaust, sport appearance package, console shifter and special stitched leather. I would pass 100%. You can get a fully loaded Laramie for a fraction of that price. I priced a fully loaded Laramie for a little over 60K compared to a 73K Big horn "GT package" with a special console shifter that nobody gives a shit about. Chevy has a console shifter in their RST and it's a 55K truck...
So to use paddle shifters you just hit then whenever you want? And when you stop using the paddle shifters does the truck automatically revert to automatic mode? My dad got a rebel GT and we have been wanting to play with the paddle shifters but dealership didn’t show us any of that because it was the first GT they have seen lol. And one other thing is how do you use to tiptronic shifter? The shifter has the sport mode where you can manually shift it. Nobody ever shows any videos on that. I’ve looked in our manual but it’s confusing.
To use the paddle shifters you shift the lower console shifter into drive then bump it to the left to go into sport mode then you use the paddle shifters from there.
I just bought a 22 and the moment I test drove it I was in love. It’s hard to not speed and it’s so comfortable to drive !
The rotary dial is brilliant because it gives you the beautiful console. I wish my 2021 Rebel had the paddle shifters.
I totally agree. I can't fathom the rotary dial hate.
Thanks for the vid, but do you have a 2023 Ram sport GT video? I am blown away by the lack of 2023 Sport 1500 content on YT
Unfortunately, we’re handcuffed by what’s available on the local press fleet - although the 2022 and ‘23 models are virtually identical.
Just picked one up. I noticed the same thing!
Nice Canadian content cause I feel there are trims that are only available in the Canadian market so it’s nice to come across this

I can’t do the sunroof, personally. There’s nowhere near enough headroom for me with it.
Do you live in Canada or the U.S.?
@@danilika9420 I live in the US in Indiana. I don’t know your height but I’m
Continuation. I’m 6-04 and have plenty of head room with the sunroof.
@@BLKKNT2 I’m 6-foot-3 and can’t sit upright in the cabin with the sunroof - although I’m tall in the torso. The seating position is quite high.
@@danilika9420 I agree with this. I am 6' 2" and had to opt for no pano roof...
Absolutely. The prices are crazy now.

When I bought my 2019 Longhorn, I stayed away from air bags. I was worried also about our cold cold winters and possible issues that may arise.
And the standard coil suspension is already better than anything else in the segment.

Thanks, Blake! The obsession with full-size trucks in North America is really puzzling to me. Expensive, inefficient, not particularly practical…

Excessive ride height? Really? It's 2 or 3 inches higher than a crossover SUV.
Love my 22 GT. Was hesitant not getting the 12” screen, but happy with my decision now after seeing the issues

Got a 2022 larime gt....love everything bout....

Ford makes the junkiest, cheap-plastic expensive cars in the world haha
Don’t get the air suspension if you have to deal with -30 weather.
Really sharp truck I, totally love my Lonestar Ram1500 totally worth the price
Paid 91,500 for my 22 Ram Limited Night edition..and saw a 22 F150 Limited for 118,900😩
And you made the right choice
So much better than the Ford
The F150’s to me just look so plain Jane. They need to focus on better looking rims. The Rams just have the WOW factor.
Dan, Is the high price of pickup trucks related to overly generous tax write offs?
Could be - although I feel like it has more to do with markdowns. Price high, slash cost, look like a hero…
No, it's related to horrid economic policies from our leaders.

Agreed. I got a loaded 19' Laramie for $43k, and I put my own Borla catback on it for$1200. Sounds and looks so much better than Mopar pipes.
FYI the air suspension freezes when it's cold. I had 2 of them with the same issue. Not a suspension choice for Northern Ontario.
Can u get the GT trim with out air suspension?
@@AbzAden Yes you can 👍
@@baro4178 I’ll definitely go that route for sure thanks
I will just say this it's not that big of a deal for the money they are charging. You can do all of that after market.
