What makes a perfect field watch?

An explorer's watch is really a field watch on steroids. This short video covers what I believe to be the best features on a field watch. A thin case profile. Stainless steel. Sapphire glass. Adequate lume. Some water resistance. And throw in a date and GMT complication for good measure. The Rolex Explorer II is probably the best field watch in today's watch market.
