- A brand new granddaughter is arriving soon, so that means a brand new baby blanket in honor of her. This crochet project features a series of cross stitches and bobbles, or X's & O's, so that is how this became the Hugs & Kisses Baby Blanket.
I used the new Caron Baby Cakes in Dreamy Rose for this, but feel free to substitute regular Caron Cakes or any worsted weight yarn of your choice.

Jeanne didn't write the pattern with a flat edge. She wanted to but never got around with it. You may want to choose a different pattern for your pillow or just improvise.

While I have you ....... I am making this beautiful beautiful Afghan and I’m challenged to say the least. I have you each time on you tube and also the written pattern. However on the Criss cross rows I’m mucking your sometimes. Wondering if you might have come across why this could be happening.......crazy I know but thought others may have had the same problem. I cannot seem to find Caron Baby Cakes Dusty Rose anywhere. Are there any good substitutes? I require baby girl colors, preferably cotton or cotton blend. Thanks in advance!
Cross stitch row is incorrect. Pattern indicated switching from front to back of cross so it creates the texture that follows the decline and incline. Beautiful stiches tho
