So happy I found this video. I am left-handed and this helped me so much. And I love the ripple stitch. I am now making an afghan for my son. Thank you so much for this video.
Ma'am, I'm 59 years old and have been crocheting for 54 years now. I'm troubled by the Chevron stitch, I'm a lefty and crochet left handedly. I've stopped asking for help because of "the side eye" I get from people, let alone, the instructor. Let me clear the air of one point-I'm a guy here. After multiple decades of "the side eye, and gossipy comments & looks, I've stopped asking for help in person in the crochet world. It's enough to cause a.lefty to do something drastic to get relief from the hurt that people conflict on me. Your video-flipped for the benefit of us lefties, is my last straw before I give up on the craft that enjoy because it comes so naturally to me. My grampa started teaching me at age 5 years old, once she realized I was doing it left handedly, she blew me off like I'm the freak from planet Zorg. Doug
I am doing a ripple stitch that's calling for clusters. Is that the same as the ripple stitch is are that different? I would like to see a video on that. The afghan is so pretty but the clusters I have never do. By the way I'm visual and instructions confuse me. So I got the just of counting, but I can't count all of the afghan ripple stitch because of the clusters. I need help.
No, the ripple stitch and cluster stitch in crochet are different. - **Ripple Stitch**: This refers to a pattern that creates a wavy or zigzag effect, often used for blankets. It is achieved by varying stitch heights and sometimes increasing and decreasing stitches across rows to form peaks and valleys. - **Cluster Stitch**: This refers to a specific grouping of stitches worked into the same space or stitch. For example, a 3-dc cluster might involve working three double crochets together into one stitch. Cluster stitches are often used for textured designs. So, while both are common crochet techniques, they serve different purposes and create different visual effects.
