Is your dropper post moving too slowly?

  • Also, if your post doesn't go all the way to the top it could be because it needs more air.

Do they u have any suggestions for a dropper seat post that requires moving forward and repeatedly slamming my body weight on to get it to drop? Pushing it down with my hand takes force but not nearly as much. It’s so super awkward I am fortunate to have long enough legs that it’s not a *must have* option for me on this bike.

I am unclear what you are asking. A dropper post with the right amount of air pressure in it won't go down with pressure on it until you press the lever in. The lever releases the dropper post and you want to be able to press it down easily when sitting on it.
If you don't want it to go down, don't press the dropper lever in.

@@ShadLife Sorry if I was unclear. What the problem is it requires what seems like excessive force to get it to go down while seated even with my weight shifted to the nose of the saddle

It could be any number of things. A cheaper brand dropper, too much air pressure, it might need to be lubed, the lever might need to be adjusted and so on. A good affordable dropper post brand is PNW.
