The 10-hour song actually takes a text story and brings it to life. So easy to visualize this intense battle scene with the music and closed caption combo. Keep up the awesome work! 🎹
I had no idea my idea was used until today; and I am absolutely stoked. The music was beautiful and the story isn't far off from what I have been developing myself. I felt the emotions that I intended when writing the piece and whilst the story isn't note-for-note, the emotion is there and to me that's what matters. I'm so glad my cousin found this by mistake the other night and drove to my place to show it to me ❤ Thank you so much, this was the inspiration I needed to go through and continue this story ❤
10 hours may seem like a lot of time to do something, but composers have spent years making music, and this is actually quite amazing to be able to create a piece of music that matches well with a story. Plus it gave me chills which means u did a good job.
It depends, sometimes I tap into "the zone" and then you just write basically a whole song in an hour or 2. you might come back to it later and change some details but for the most part I can consider it done (The is still the process of recording it with real instruments, however) Sometimes I write some parts but get completely stuck and can't come up with anything good for hours, in such a case I usually put it aside, drink a coffee and work on something else. When I come back for it the next day I can sometimes get some new ideas, I have loads of unfinished songs that are many, many years old and you know, that's like a treasure chest. Because now when I get stuck, there's always a chance that something I wrote earlier could fit in nicely and get me unstuck. I don't know if this is the same for everyone but I don't usually sit with just one song until it's done (unless I am in the zone), If I get stuck I just move over to the next song. I don't like wasting time being out of ideas :D But with games now taking 5 to 10 years to make I wouldn't feet as stressed out as I would back in the day of lets say, Final Fantasy VI-X, Back then it was like 2-3 years development time. The Final Fantasy VIII OST has like +70 track. Finishing that much music of that high standard in 2-3 years is quite an undertaking.
Like, he has a somewhat easier time because he only has to worry about one instrument, but making one instrument sound good solo is a whole other problem
.... I... How- I have never seen musical genius like this, like seriously, my mind is genuinely blown. How are you just able to roughly know how to play a song without knowing the notes or anything... like what on earth... and to just come up with a song on the spot is just insane Dude...
Lots of time spent learning music theory, and studying composition, plus the practice after it has been learned. Most all committed people can learn the skills on display in this video just gotta work hard lol
its called having an ear/playing by ear i also have something similar along with talent but he is better because studying and playing for at least over a decade
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO WROTE AN ENTIRE STORYLINE ON THE SUBTITLES OF THE 10HOURES COMPOSITION- LIKE BRO I WAS SO EMOTIONALLY INVEST
Yeah I thought that was really outstanding and really what put the piece together as a whole, especially the ending knowing the story made it all work.
I don't know why I read DM as Direct Message and just thought of some dude hitting up a girl on Instagram with epic boss battle and Cleric cast Banishments he wrote.... how dms should be done imo
That was legitimately one of the coolest things that I've ever seen on youtube. I was so invested in the story for the 10 hour version. It really felt like there was a movie playing out in my head. The music added so much emotion to what was playing out in my head too. I don't play the piano but I have a basic understanding of music theory as a drummer. What you did was absolutely mind blowing to me. I absolutely loved this video and can not state how cool this was.
OH MY GOD HOW CAN YOU WRITE SUCH AMAZING SONGS IN SUCH A SHORT TIME AND IMPROVISE WHAT YOU WANNA PLAY AND IT COME OUT EXACTLY HOW YOU WANTED IT TO? LIKE SERIOUSLY I WOULD SPEND DAYS TRYING TO FIND A MELODY I WANT TO USE, AND NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY IT 😭 But seriously like how did you create such professional tracks in short amounts of time? That's hella impressive, if I made an anime or video game I would hire you as lead sound track maker like dang your skills scare me-
@@alihasanaxe4936 as a jazz artist myself. I can confidently say that this is not pre-made. I am quite a bit worse than him and can still do stuff like this (not to this level) but Improv is one of the more Fundemental skills when playing Jazz and my Jazz teacher was able to make songs for us to play in around a week. Which sounds like a lot longer. But he had to make parts for all of us. Not just 1 Piano part. It included 4 Percussion, 2 piano, 3 Trombone, 4 Trumpet, 4 Alto sax, 2 Tenor Sax, 1 Soprano Sax and 1-3 Clarinet and Flute Peices. Sure he didn't have to meld it into a story. Instead just setting a tone. But a lot of high class teachers do this on a basis so that the students always have something that the teach knows they have never seen before that they would play. Called Sight Reading. If you look up "The Raven Song" by Bob Baker. It's part of a Trilogy he made with the Canadian Aboriginal People in 2018. And the 3 songs were made in ~1 month. For a Festival up in whistler that I went to and Played all 3 of the pieces. Sight reading them. I think one of the the other songs in the trilogy was "When the mountains Touch the Sky." Also ofcourse by Bob Baker. And I played the 3 songs infront of Bob himself with the rest of my band. It was the first time he had heard... the song played... ever. It was around 2 months after he made it. Because we were practicing with these peices and a lot of other Peices aswell so that they could sound as good as they did. I remember we got 2nd place at the festival in 2018 only beaten out by an Army Band that played Rocky's "Gonna Fly Now". And they all played it absolutely perfectly. Every single one of them had Solo's that were Improv but they seemed to fit into the song so nicely that if you didn't know what Rocky sounded like. Then you wouldn't have known they were not Part of the Song.
@@alihasanaxe4936 it's not like he's making super complex melodies. With enough skill, pianists improvise stuff like this a lot. The movement of the melody is almost entirely step-wise, especially early on. If it were more complex, I'd say it might be pre-made. But this seems reasonably improvised
A year has passed, her heart still bears the scars of what she had done. Word comes that the villain boasting about what he has done, and it lights a fire in her soul determination and revenge. At first, she hesitates to take the sword once more, the fear sets in her heart, but a quiet gentle voice calls out to her, the hero's spirit that slept in the blade comforts her, she has steeled her resolve and trains with masters of swords and magic. Some time has passed, now ready to face the villain once more, now stronger and wiser than she was before. She makes her way in the layer of the villain and faces off with his generals. The last room before her journey ends stands an armored knight, once more she crosses blades, in each strike and parry there is something familiar, too familiar, her resolve weakens as the black armored knight drives her back, then a lucky strike knocks his helm off, and before her stands the hero, her lost love. His strikes continue, his eyes are blank of any emotion. She now knows what must be done, her training comes back, and is trying to reach him to break the spell on him. The fight rages until she breaks the spell, their reunion cut short as the villain appears, now our heroes tired and worn. The final battle truly begins, in their tired state, the villain has the upper hand. Is all hope lost? Is this the end now that they have been reunited? Be it divine providence or pure luck a ray of light shines on the two lovers and fills them with vigor, the tides have changed, the roar of magic and the clashing of steel resound with such ferocity the world could hear the echos to this day, the final blows struck, the villain falls. The dark clouds break as beams of sunlight rain down from the heavens, the lovers embrace once more.
While it may seem like its the same as what you said. I feel that with courage its a semi permanent happiness that doesn't seem present throughtout the 1 hour. Instead it gives a vibe of upset and dismay until the hero finally thinks back and isn't ready to sacrifice everything.
Just stumbled upon this channel and I’m truly blown away. I learned a ton from just watching this.... and honestly felt all the emotions from the 10 hour theme while reading the captions. You have some insane talent - and a new subscriber
10 hour hands down even without the captions i could FEEL the love of the two warriors and the sorrow of Aisly when she killed her lover it literally brought me to tears 10000 out of 10. also ten minute theme should be called Battle for humanity Edit: oh my gods over100 likes thnx guys
I disagree...the way it played off sorrow was a bit cliche, in that it is the cinematic version of the feeling of shock and loss. Like there would be many emotions felt all at once between sorrow and anger for being fooled; basically a flood of the 5 stages of grief all at once. It played hard into the sadness aspect, while not really dipping the toes in so to speak to the other feelings and emotions...and for that, while being a good piece, I wouldn't consider it the best compared to the one trying to go for the duel of the fates vibe. Imo it did a much better job of making the listener really feel what the stakes of the 'battle' were, the chaotic back and forth nature of the fight, and even the despair and suspicion lingering at the back of the hero's mind that they might be so outmatched that the villain is just toying with their prey before the kill. Because of all that I feel that it was much more creative than the 10 hour which sounded and felt more formulaic, trying to convey the trope of loss rather than the _experience_ of loss.
I think the 10 hours one was the best one simply because of how complex it is, it has so many elements that it's rewatchable and a good way to look for ideas for artists who want to make their own songs
Legit one Monday morning my English teacher was covering the raven again and we had worked on it for weeks and she was asking the questions she asked every class “Who is Lenore to the narrator?” Me being the only one with enough energy to speak, “His lost love” “How does this relate to Edgar Allen Poe’s life? Why did he put this in his poem?” “CAUSE HE LOST HIS LOVE.” Legit a first grader could answer these questions smh
@@kayleelomas5598 Any class that involves "deciphering" books is just a fucking waste of time, a big chunk of these "talented" writers are overglorified,
@@Skilow I wouldn't say that. Personally, breaking down works to their origins and inspirations or taking everything literally are often not the reason they were written nor how the author would want it read. This kind of butchering is done in the education system to see if the students understand the material at the expense of how enjoyable it usually is to read. Even with some allegorical or interpretive works, making the process of understanding it into a chore instead of something instinctual or fun can make a good or great work into a burden.
Can we just acknowledge this man's piano skills? Like look how many keys he I'd playing at once and he also can write music too, great talent man wish I had some

Wow, I played piano for my whole childhood with weekly lessons from a home piano teacher, back then I was never really interested in it. But now, 15 years after stopping playing, this video somehow got me the motivation to touch a piano again. Thank you.
"Why?" Ainsley's voice was choked and barely there "Why did you make me do that?" she shook, with the dagger held in her shaking hands. The man, the sorcerer, in front of her winces, guilt, and shame flickering over his face. "Because Ainsley," he said, hands held out in a beseeching gesture "because I had to show you that you were stronger. That he was holding you back" "No" her voice raised into a shout, tinged with desperation "no, I loved him. I only loved him and you killed him. You- you made me kill him." "I'm sorry, I had to show you" "Show me what?" she raised the dagger, she could still see the stains of red from Cynric's veins on the icy cold steel. She had held it so steady then. So steady as she plunged it through her love's neck. Plunged it through his chest again and again until the illusion broke. What made it different now? Ainsley had only had one thought in the year since his death, . But now? Now he was in front of her. He was in front of her and he was telling her why and she was listening to him. "I had to show that you were better. Stronger. you could do so much more than what that army offers you." "I being in the army" "No, you liked being with him" Brinholt snapped, something akin to anger flashing in the back of his eyes "That was the same thing" Ainsley tried to say but she knew the defence was weak. "You can do more" He wasn't even watching the knife, his eyes were locked on hers. He had her immobilised but it had nothing to do with the magic that coursed through his veins. "How can I do more?" She couldn't ask, the knife no longer aimed at his throat but dropped to his heart, the same organ he had ripped out and crushed, and she could tell from his eyes that he had noticed. "I can show you" she may have been shouting from fear and desperation but his voice was steady, stable. It grounded her and gods she hated it. "You took my control from me" her voice was strained, losing the passion it once had "I didn't know what was real... I don't" "I can teach you. I can teach you to never let that control go again." he held a hand out for her to take, and took one step closer to her. "Ainsley I can help you grow stronger. I can help you reach your potential... you'll never be dependent on anyone again I ." Ainsley locked eyes with the sorcerer. He had tricked her before and she had fallen for it... but. But she couldn't pretend that the offer of power wasn't alluring. She was of the army. She had only joined for Cynric and he was gone now... she lowered the knife, dropping it to rest by her side, and with her other hand, stretched out to take the cold hand of Brinholt. "Okay" Ainsley whispered, barely wanting to acknowledge what she was doing. The world still talks of the story. One of betrayal and manipulation. They speak of it in hushed whispers, if it reaches the wrong ears? Well, the birds' talk don't they? The trees have eyes do they not? Because Brinholt the sorcerer has always been and the people can never know if what they are seeing is true or not but Ainsley the Captain? She is so, so much worse. She sweeps through the villages, burning as she went. It has said that the only way to placate her and encourage her to pass over is to place a bloody silver dagger over the door frame. You better hope, however, that no one in your village is you and in love, because if you're unlucky enough for that to be? Well, the fires of hell will be like the depths of winter compared to her rage. You can only do one thing at that point and it will never be enough. But all you can do is Pray. I felt like continuing this? Idk probably not very good inspiration just Hit and the Writing Demon took over but yeah... my interpretation of how the 10 hour piece story ended
Dude The story with the cursed path was just perfect It made my heart skip when the music just perfectly joined the story I want someone to do this justice now! Names for the songs: 1 minute: Insurrection 10 seconds: Victory Theme (for some fighting game I guess, idk. That's what would happen if you beat an enemy.) 10 seconds (improv # 1): Battle on the Bridge 10 seconds (improv # 2): Battle for Salvation 10 seconds (improv # 3): Strike Against the Sun 10 seconds (improv # 4): Back to the Basics 10 seconds (improv # 5): Walking into Oblivion 10 minutes: No more Escaping Holy crap that 10 hour piece was powerful. That name suits it perfectly. I wouldn't change a thing about it or the story. My Story (As a short summary): The prince of a kingdom was taken during the destruction of the capital by the enemy as a baby, and raised as royalty in all manners of martial combat and magic without knowing he's not of their bloodline. Sent on an adventure to get stronger and experience the world he learns of his heritage through many clues and hints, culminating in the meeting of his old wet nurse. Confused and lost his mental state is taken advantage of by a warlock who made a pact with the devil, who uses our hero to lead an uprising and kill the members of the royal family, those who raised and cared for him like their own. With his dying breath the king tells the prince why they destroyed the prince's kingdom all those years ago, and it is revealed that the warlock has been the instigator of all the incidents related to the prince throughout time. The king tells the prince of an artifact which holds the power to sever contracts made between others forcefully, and gives him a notebook and a key. After mourning the dead of both kingdoms for a week, the prince has a steely look of resolve in his eyes, and sets off on a new journey to find this artifact in order to stop the warlock and avenge all those who had fallen because of him.

The ten hour one was so emotional, I seriously almost cried. If you read my comment I just wanna say you are amazing at what you do and thank you for gracing us with your talent.
The 1 hour one should be called "The last stand" Due to the dramatic notes in it, But besides the name, This is awesome! I loved watching this, You have true talent!! ❤
I think it should be called "Change your Fate" where no matter what you do, you get countered by the boss. The music would seem like you are losing the fight because of the dramatic and strong notes. Near the end of the song is where you start to gain the upper hand. For example, your character has been watched by the boss every single fight. The boss character would know all your moves and every thing you do would be like a cutscene. Then you would bring something out that's new, and defeat the boss. That's just me though.
Story: So a man loves this women but he has a dark past and it finally catches up with him and that “past” ends up killing the one he loves it’s like a chain of these villains he used to work for and the chain leads up to the final boss and he slays them all out of anger seeking revenge then he faces the final boss but looses and joins the one he loves in the afterlife
Continuation of the 10 hours boss battle song: When the heroine finally found the villain for real, the improvisation 5 from the 10 seconds boss battle song plays, then an epic final battle slowly building starting from improvisation 1 to improvisation 4 as the climax, then reaches a conclusive end with improvisation 5 playing again when either the heroine or the villain finally won
The 10 hour one should be called the "A cruel fate: The final duet." Or something close to that. Also yes that 10 hour one is so good Damn it the dagger was foreshadowed too Goddamn that simple story was made so much more better with the music
@@VinnyG_Music how is it cringe? Youre the only one cringey here. You have no talent except being toxic in yt comment sections, but thats not a talent, is it? Please get off
Damn this is just art. The music and the story kinda brings it to life, i imagined a whole scenery in the mountains, battlefield and even kinda characterstics to the protagonists! Also the improvisations at the end were just amazing. Keep it up G
The 10 hour song is soooo goooood. I felt like I was actually there as a part of the whole battle, realization, everything. I felt so connected to the characters and the way the song flowed made my emotions move alongside the heroines.
I feel like 1 minute version is phase 1 of the battle, then the battle ends with some heroic slash. 1:23 But then... something's not right... the battle should be over, so why does it feel like it isn't... Fade into 1 hour version 7:17 Then once the battle is finally over, for real this time... you hear... :SAME BATTLE-ENDING THEME YOU'VE HEARD 100 TIMES BEFORE: (aka 10 second version) 3:07
Yeah! 10 minute version (4:42) is the prologue boss who you fight while you're still just a nobody out in a no-name village, whose defeat reveals the greater looming threat that's the ultimate focus of the story. 1 minute version (1:22) is the first phase of the final battle, and then the 1 hour version (7:17) begins as the Big Bad snaps and transforms into their final cosmic horror form.
Here are the titles that came to mind when listening to these: 10 second first improvision -- We meet again in the stars 10 second second improvision -- The weight of the days are heavy 10 second third improvision -- Unable to fly 10 second fourth improvision -- Broken Clocks 10 second fifth improvision -- At least it's over 1 minute -- The Rise of the Dawn 10 minute -- Rampage of the Sandstorm 1 hour -- Dance of the Tundra

LIKE SERIOUSLY I WOULD SPEND DAYS TRYING TO FIND A MELODY I WANT TO USE, AND NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY IT 😭

He's not actually doing it within that limit. It's clearly faked, he premakes them.
I like how this guy is so good at music that he can just shit out a Hollywood bestselling movie level theme in an hour or less

10 second improvisations: “A Warrior’s Fate”
1 minute: “Valor’s Shout”
10 minute: “Bloodshed”
1 hour: “Courage to Continue”
10 hour: “Deciding Fates”
1 hour kind of gives me a vibe of "is this the end?... no"
While it may seem like its the same as what you said. I feel that with courage its a semi permanent happiness that doesn't seem present throughtout the 1 hour. Instead it gives a vibe of upset and dismay until the hero finally thinks back and isn't ready to sacrifice everything.
@Phoenix Lozano the 10 minute is definitely more suitable
10 second: The Swift Blade
1 minute: The Sudden Terror
10 minutes: The Remains Of War

I hate it when people put a rating over the max.

Have you not heard of an asian?
"Why?" Ainsley's voice was choked and barely there "Why did you make me do that?" she shook, with the dagger held in her shaking hands. The man, the sorcerer, in front of her winces, guilt, and shame flickering over his face.
"Because Ainsley," he said, hands held out in a beseeching gesture "because I had to show you that you were stronger. That he was holding you back"
"No" her voice raised into a shout, tinged with desperation "no, I loved him. I only loved him and you killed him. You- you made me kill him."
"I'm sorry, I had to show you"
"Show me what?" she raised the dagger, she could still see the stains of red from Cynric's veins on the icy cold steel.
Stronger. you could do so much more than what that army offers you."
"I being in the army"
"No, you liked being with him" Brinholt snapped, something akin to anger flashing in the back of his eyes
"That was the same thing" Ainsley tried to say but she knew the defence was weak.
I don't"
"I can teach you. I can teach you to never let that control go again." he held a hand out for her to take, and took one step closer to her. "Ainsley I can help you grow stronger. I can help you reach your potential... you'll never be dependent on anyone again I ."
Ainsley locked eyes with the sorcerer.
But all you can do is
Pray.

I really like the 10 minute and the one hour ones best.
Absolutely incredible how quickly you can put together music of this quality.
Got chills more than once during the 10 hour piece, and the 1-minute piece was way more of a banger than it had any right to be

Me: Why do I hear Boss Music?
RUclips Recommendions: I heard you like Boss Music.
Me: You win this round RUclips.
The 10 hour one should be named “Tear Stained Blades”.
That's a fitting name!
That's actually a good one
Story: So a man loves this women but he has a dark past and it finally catches up with him and that “past” ends up killing the one he loves it’s like a chain of these villains he used to work for and the chain leads up to the final boss and he slays them all out of anger seeking revenge then he faces the final boss but looses and joins the one he loves in the afterlife
Yessssssssssss.
How about FEAR Stained Blades?
Continuation of the 10 hours boss battle song:
When the heroine finally found the villain for real, the improvisation 5 from the 10 seconds boss battle song plays, then an epic final battle slowly building starting from improvisation 1 to improvisation 4 as the climax, then reaches a conclusive end with improvisation 5 playing again when either the heroine or the villain finally won
I think for that story a SAO season 1 ending would fit, where the enemy and the mc both die
“Trying to write a 5 paragraph essay at 1158 pm” should be the names of all of them

10 minutes: Hell's playground
1 hour: Bonds
10 hours: Eternal Memories

Damn this is just art. The music and the story kinda brings it to life, i imagined a whole scenery in the mountains, battlefield and even kinda characterstics to the protagonists! Also the improvisations at the end were just amazing. Keep it up G
I like how you think, writing it as a story. When I listen to really good music it forms a story in my head too. The Cursed Path is beautiful
The 10 hour song is soooo goooood. I felt like I was actually there as a part of the whole battle, realization, everything. I felt so connected to the characters and the way the song flowed made my emotions move alongside the heroines.
It more feels like an battle-soundtrack than a bossfight-track
I feel like 1 minute version is phase 1 of the battle, then the battle ends with some heroic slash. 1:23
But then... something's not right... the battle should be over, so why does it feel like it isn't...
Fade into 1 hour version 7:17
Then once the battle is finally over, for real this time...
1 minute version (1:22) is the first phase of the final battle, and then the 1 hour version (7:17) begins as the Big Bad snaps and transforms into their final cosmic horror form.
if they are all combined the entire song should be called "Breaking The Essence Of Humanity"
Here are the titles that came to mind when listening to these:
10 second first improvision -- We meet again in the stars
10 second second improvision -- The weight of the days are heavy
10 second third improvision -- Unable to fly
10 second fourth improvision -- Broken Clocks
10 second fifth improvision -- At least it's over
1 minute -- The Rise of the Dawn
10 minute -- Rampage of the Sandstorm
1 hour -- Dance of the Tundra
Not bad, I'd accept them as suitable titles.
“You’re just playing random notes now lol.” When you’re this good, you can make anything sound god tier.
