    • @maxave7448
      @maxave7448 7 месяцев назад +32

      I think the real glitch in the matrix are black holes. Popular theories suggest that back holes may have singularities with infinite density. Maybe when objects of insane mass collapse in on themselves, a calculation error within the simulation's code occurs which gives the singularity infinite density, kind of like in some calculators which return infinity when the numbers are too large.
      Its a stupid theory but its fun to think about

      Although singularities are *desne* , I'm pretty sure they don't have infinite density, even though the density is absolutely *ludicrous* considering the fact that the gravity is so enormous that it collapsed a neutron star and can't even be escaped by light speed. Infinity is a huge number yk, but if it was infinite then it would suck in the whole universe.@@maxave7448

      Well, being honest that saying that "You only browse 5% of the internet" doesn't mean other 95% is creepy and illegal stuff. I've been a member of some small games, forums and groups in the internet that you cannot access using Google. But none of them were harmful. They were just small sites created by small group of people for their own niche game or activity, that they couldn't have on the regular big sites because, for example, they couldn't find the interface they needed and had to create it themselves. Or there are hundreds of sites and apps for social media that most people won't use (because they are not popular in Europe for example), but they have nearly exactly same content as your regular Facebook or Instagram. Or there are thousands of indie games that probably also count as a part of internet. It's just that the internet so much information that one person isn't able to check it all.

    The argument on pointer pointer can be applied to anything, since mouse tracking is extremely common. "Did you know that Minecraft keeps track of your mouse to move the game's camera... It's tracking everything you do!" There are tons of examples surface level sites that display much more egregious tracking than locating your mouse position inside of the site's window.

    A really bizarre incident happened to me recently that was similar to the dream man face: I was staying at my dad's apartment and we were going to see the new Oppenheimer movie in town, and when I went to bed the night before, I had a dream, I dreamt about a strange candy that I had never seen before inside of a steel bin, nothing mysterious about them, just your typical sweet delight. And I woke up thinking, "Hmm, that's an awfully random thing to dream about," and didn't think anything more of it at the time. We called an Uber to take us downtown to where the movie theater was, but we had arrived an hour early, so we thought we'd go to this frozen yogurt place that was right across the street from the theater. And inside, behind the glass case, in a steel bin, was that candy, available as a topping option, it was the same exact scene that I had seen in my dream the night prior. And I had never been to this frozen yogurt place before (I hadn't even been to this part of town before) and I swear I have never seen this candy before.

      It's probably causes an effect called uncanny valley, which make us feel uneasy or downright terrified when looking at things that resembles a human but is "imperfect" in someway (for example a doll, mannequinn, or robot with human features, etc). Similar, "This Man" is a drawing of a man that is does not exist, combine with uncanny facial features and also low picture quality ultimately made it creepy as hell even tho it's just a hoax

    In the novel The Ship Who Searched by Anne Mccaffrey and Mercedes Lackey it states how top level company management meetings were done in person as it was too easy to fake being someone else in video/sound. It was first published as a serial in the monthly Amazing Stories, June to September, and as a paperback original by Baen Books in August 1992. Sounds remarkably like what's started happening nowadays.

    Pointer Pointer doesn't use AI, also, it doesn't track all activity on the site, just the X and Y positions of your pointer. It then sends the coordinates to the servers which respond with the photo that was assigned to the general area of your mouse.
    Let's not be alarmist.

    Amazing videos as always... i get so hooked on your story telling i wish your videos lasted for ever. One simple thing i noticed: guerriglia is actually pronounced just like "guerrilla" in spanish. I personally let out a chuckle when you started saying the word letter by letter 😂 its okay though, ofc you wouldn't have known since italian is kinda hard to pronounce if your mother tongue is not a latin language. Anyways keep up the good work, I love your videos and always have the notification on cuz your videos are always so entertaining. Cheers 😊

    "Using their proprietary AI"
    Uh, sir, the fact that that is a selling point nowadays is disgusting! XD
    The whole problem I have with proprietary software is you are unable to see what goes under the hood! Meaning, you kind of just have to trust them, and wing it!

    The simulation theory isn't possible because the computer supporting the simulation would have to be impossibly large.
    In the video game The Sims, a machine can have a binary "is broken" and "isn't broken" state, so it's easy for our computers to keep track of that. But in reality, a machine can break in tens of thousands of slightly different ways or otherwise have flaws with it, each needing different means of repairing it.
    Try thinking of how machines work on the microscopic level. Think about all the chemicals being mixed together in factories, by scientists in labs, and even students in academies incorrectly mixing chemicals together. The more you think about it, the more you realize that a computer simulating our reality would have to simulate every single last atom on earth (and even atoms in space, as we've gone up there). And each of those atoms would have multiple variables to them: X coordinate Y coordinate, Z coordinate, velocity, direction of velocity, current bonds, etc.
    Even if the computer simulating our universe is so efficiently designed that each bit is only a single atom large, it would still require a galaxy worth of atoms to be capable of simulating our universe with how many variables would need to be kept track of. It is simply impossibly large and our universe cannot be a simulation because it is too precise.
