Originally, Gacha was supposed to be for older kids like teens, but after the creator, Luni, saw the inappropriate things people were making, he removed some assets to prevent it. Sadly it wasn’t enough. It’s the bad side of the community that’s bad, not the game itself

unfortunately, there are some gacha alternatives but they look like modded gacha for more accessories and (of course) some bad stuff bypassed into it. i only use the vanilla ones and kept it in the safe zone, while i prevent any unsafe content.

Honestly the app itself is very family friendly and can strengthen kid’s creativity, editing and storytelling. The community is just… a bad product of the internet I guess. I used to love gacha life until I watched more and more gacha life videos. A lot of them were funny and entertaining to watch! But the more I saw the weird and inappropriate videos I got more deterred from the app. It’s too bad though, the app was fun to use.

I use Gacha for rough character designs, and I wish people could just be normal about this, especially sense Gacha Heat is made primarily by minors.

The amount of times I've officially reported Gacha Heat to RUclips is crazy. They won't listen and it's tiring. The game itself is extremely child friendly but there are some members of the community that are sick and make weird content. It's so easy to ban the search term 'heat' yet they won't do anything about it...

i also had basically unrestricted internet for YEARS, and Amino was one of those awful apps i have had. there definitely were positive and fun times, but, it’s definitely more memorable as a, well, groomer heaven. ofc, at the time, with me being probably around 10-12, i never noticed i was being possibly groomed. mind you, i wasn’t completely oblivious of dangers of the internet, but i definitely was oblivious.
looking back, it’s… terrifying. especially since they, well, in my experience, “date” you and yk, being a stupid lonely kid, who may or may not be having family issues at those moments, (alongside wanting to either look cool/older) want someone close, and/or a relationship. we would always do shit like dirty rps too, and youngish kids play into it bc it’s,, “fun”.
tldr: Amino was one of the shittiest(and honestly , scariest) places/apps i’ve ever been on. It’s horrible. 10\10 NOT recommended

@@hautecoutures I use Gacha Life for making characters. I see none of the poses as inappropriate. It's just people finding ways to use normal poses in inappropriate ways. And about the CP poses, those aren't extremely inappropriate. And if you somehow find them to be, just note that the app says there is 13+ content, so the only people who are exposed to it are people who are okay with it and people who were warned

If "Twerk" and "Air Thrust 1 / 2" isn't inappropriate then what the hell is?? It doesn't have to say straight up sex poses for it to be classified as inappropriate.
You misunderstood what I said. The interactive part of the game where it makes you talk to different characters and interact with them has a reference to an anime where it depicts a grown man grooming and having intercourse with a prepubescent child. If you don't think that's inappropriate I'd easily assume you were born yesterday.
As one of the first clips from Mutahar showed even before the actual video essay started, the app is literally classified as 9+. Plus even if there is an age restriction there is NO way to ACTUALLY restrict kids as young as 5 or less from downloading and playing. You should know since there's an "epidemic" of literal children and babies installing apps like Tiktok or Discord nowadays. If you know your main demographic and 85-95% of your playerbase ranges from 0-12 years old, why would you include sexual content? If you didn't want that age range to be your demographic, why make the game so child-ish looking? The game is in a chibi style, bright shiny colors, a P2W mechanic, minigames included INSIDE the actual game.. It will make the demographic mostly be composed of children.
That last sentence is HORRENDOUS. Did you think before typing that? That's literally the same as saying that if you go to a man's house as a woman you are consenting to intercourse because you were warned.
Why are you so eager to defend someone who doesn't know you? Luni doesn't owe you anything. He won't pay you for defending him. You're reaching the same level of low by defending him.
He doesn't care and has not taken accountability for his actions in any moment. Closest he's been to doing anything was literally removing skintone colors from the clothing section and getting rid of a couple of poses. None of that matters at all cause day by day parents still complain about their children being exposed to inappropriate content and children still get affected by this. By removing colors from the clothing section you aren't doing anything, the adults partaking in it are still gonna find a way to surpass it by editing or anything they need to do. These grown people traumatize and taint children for money.
It also isn't of much help that he's literally working on a new game as we speak called Gacha Life 2, and it also doesn't help that he drew himself and some other guy having sex (specifically a threesome) with one of his characters which was stated to be a legal minor (15 years old) and THEN changed the character's age to 18 to avoid any more backlash. You don't have any reason to defend him. Again, he will not pay you for defending him, you're not a lawyer. You are just feeding into his ego and his actions.

2. *Poses*
One of the poses is part of the combat section and is depicting a tired person, and even though it looks like twerking, it isn't. From there, it can only be the fault of the Gacha player to change its meaning. And the air thrusts are combat. I never saw them in any different way besides battle poses until this video, which shows that it's up to the person playing to decide whether it's inappropriate or not. If you think about it, ANY pose could be shifted to be used inappropriately, so should they not have any poses at all? For instance, the pose at the top is just someone in normal battle stance. If you've seen fighting, that's the normal pose. I know what people are probably using that as, but that wasn't the intention.
3. *Expressions*
There are and were not any default expressions that looked as inappropriate as the example. The player made that by combining NORMAL things like blush, a banana, and a mouth with a tongue sticking out. The fact that these look normal without the others added to it shows that THEY ARE NORMAL, and it's the PLAYERS that are making them weird.
4. *Reference*
Many Disney, Pixar, etc. films have sexual references. They get away with it. Children don't notice, so it's not that bad. And they don't even warn viewers about it. That's much worse than this scenario, because there's only a small chance (no chance now that it's removed) to see it, and people have to check an agreement to accept the 13+ content.
5. *"Why are you so eager to defend someone who doesn't know you?"*
You're acting like I'm saying this to get credit or something. And I'm not defending HIM, I'm defending his GAME (what he drew is horrible, but that is not in the app). I'm defending because I've just used my brain to figure out that it's the community's fault, not his.

That can be blamed on Google Play and the App Store, not the apps themselves.
@@hautecoutures Personally, I enjoy watching Gacha, but it’s difficult to share this with others as many people view it as cringe and inappropriate due to those part of the more disturbing side of the community. Many gachatubers post nice, funny and appropriate videos. Many of them are also creative, coming up with original content. Despite that, this community is being judged by its darker side. However, all communities have a dark side, and it isn’t right for people to ignore that in other more popular communities and then create a stereotype of the gacha community from the darker side. People who misuse certain features of the app are the reason why gacha is viewed as cringe/inappropriate.
1. Poses. There are some poses which can be misinterpreted as inappropriate positions. Such as the “twerking” pose. It was never meant for twerking, it’s purpose to just show a character bending forward with their hands on their knees. There is nothing wrong with this pose, only with the people who use it to depict other scenarios.
2. Facial expressions/features. The blush is used to show that a character is embarrassed/angry/in love/feeling hot/design choice. However, people will pair it with the mouth with a tongue sticking out to show something else. While there is nothing wrong with that expression(seriously, it can be used to show that someone is really hungry), the scenario in which the expression is usually used in is not.
3. Gacha Heat. Luni has taken measures to prevent people from creating more, but this doesn’t mean videos already created are gone. Nobody has control over the fact that those videos have been posted and viewed by many people. At this moment, there are probably people watching and reporting Gacha Heat. And about people editing so as to create more Gacha Heat, no one, including Luni, has control over that. Unless you’re saying that we can just barge into people’s houses and delete any edits they make to create Gacha Heat, it’s not really within our control. Also, the fact that people still click on Gacha Heat videos will likely encourage the creators to continue. If they’re able to gain views through making those videos, they won’t stop. Especially since that would just make them more popular. Currently, the best we can do is to continue reporting Gacha Heat creators and try to stop watching their videos.
4. The thing Luni drew. While I have not seen what Luni had drawn, this doesn’t change the fact that what he drew is horrible. However, I don’t understand why people make such a big deal out of this, when some of them probably draw/look at NSFW art of Muichiro Tokito from demon slayer, when he’s literally 14. No Gachatuber and gacha viewer are at fault. We do not control what Luni does and does not do. Although we are part of a community based on an app Luni created, that doesn’t mean we support everything he does, nor does it mean we are responsible for any of that.
5. Gachatubers. No Gachatuber is at fault for what other Gachatubers create. Like every community there is, the Gacha community is also not completely innocent. There have been Gachatubers who were reported for grooming, the creation of Gacha Heat, racism and other things. However, creating stereotypes based on those Gachatubers is completely unfair for the other good Gachatubers.
While there are many sides to the Gacha community, I hope that people will stop viewing it as inappropriate/cringey all because of those who decide to use Gacha Life that way. Many, many gachatubers have their own take on things, and many of them work hard to create videos for their viewers to enjoy. “The Music Freaks” is proof that the Gacha community isn’t all bad. Not only do many people enjoy watching it, it is an original idea by RosyClozy. Instead of focusing on the negative side of the Gacha community, take some time to look at the positive side. “There’s always 2 sides to a coin if you have the patience to see,” ~ Kathryn Budig.

On the behalf of the gacha community, I would like to say something. Not all of us are like this, most of us are good! There are multiple people who just make skits for fun, me being on of them. Your only looking at the 20% of the community, the bad part, but there is a big 80% that is not toxic! So don’t worry, we are not all bad :)

As a child being in gacha back in 2018 I can say it can be a very powerful tool. It actually enhanced my love for story writing and art! Sadly every community has it's dark parts, especially Gacha Heat. The community is full of talented and kind people, but like every community, it has flaws.

@@m8ak it's good as a dress up game for little kids. it's not good in the fact that some content is clearly sexualized, like the occupation section, where it says "master, pet, sadist, masochist." they also clearly stated there was a 15 year old succubus and luni was a coward so he changed it. he referenced boku no pico at one point. but if the kids don't pay attention to that and just use the dress up feature, then yeah, it's a good game.

Gacha’s disgusting part of the community is something I wish I never knew. I was a fan back when gacha studio was released and I had found out about gacha heat. I didn’t know what it was at the time and discovering all of that had ruined my innocence.
Luni tried his best to stop it by removing skin colors and all the Inappropriate stuff like the poses and ect but most of the community is kid friendly blurring out the blood in some of the trends
for any parents watching: PLEASE do not let you child search up gacha life/ gacha club content because a lot of people use it to make p*rn! If your kid is interested in these games, please keep an eye on what they watch so they don't get exposed to it!

As someone who was on the gacha community in 2018-2022 it’s not everyone that makes gacha heat, I knew so many people that actually make good gacha life content but there’s still gacha heat creators that make the the community look bad, its sad to see what the community has come to
Tbh I really like how you talked about the theme! I usually find people who either act like all gacha is like this or people that justify gacha too much, but you found a pretty good middle ground imo.
Luni (the creator) is a really nice and family friendly person, and the game is very family friendly too. It's just the community, that was rotten by the oversexualisation of every single thing, even children, that ruined the game. I sometimes watch gacha videos, and often enough they are done well.
The good thing about the community, is that a lot of the creators are reporting, and exposing the ones that are problematic. I hope that the community gets better, and that the bad creators actually get banned in every way possible.

As a gacha creator myself, I honestly try my HARDEST to not come across any inappropriate videos, and I never do. I really hate that people have used the app to make disgusting content and I hope that sometime soon, it can be stopped.

ive got a story i hope you could use, when youtube kids was brand new, i was exposed to a video that was heavily disturbing called simply "neighbor steals my stuff!" and it truamatized me, it was an edited version of hello neighbor, the neighbor went inside, [the neighbor was styled like the bully from baldis basics] stole something while talking with a creepy tts voice, i had nightmares for weeks and when i reported it, it never left.
Yes, this video is good, when I play gacha I am crazy about it. I don't play Gacha anymore.

As someone who's been in the community since 2017, it's a shame that there's still that one side of the community. I just hope the Gacha community will strive to be a better one in the future and won't contain such explicit content anymore.

It all started in 2020/2021 when Toxic TikTokers were leaking stuff from r/Gachalifecringe. That Reddit was there for a while, but it was mostly restricted to Reddit until the TikTokers leaked it out and this is how this madness started.

in a lot of these videos (also talking about the elsagate thing) it makes me REALLY mad that kids are involved/ targeted. with all the disturbing stuff online and illegal activities its just another level of repulsive. kids should always be off limits 😡 and this coming from a person who doesnt really like kids but still its just one of the most repulsive things.
The worst thing about this is that not even the good side of the Gacha community is safe. It's not inappropriate or anything, but the constant Drama that circulates throughout the community is impossible to avoid and it's honestly just tiring. People constantly calling others out, sometimes even with fake allegations. People tracing others worse, copying or even stealing videos and not giving credit and so on. I honestly wish that the drama would just stop. Even Flotendy, a well known Gacha ranter who often sorts other drama out responsibly and calmly and Mika you a creator who before, has been a seemingly peaceful and well-known Gachatuber are now arguing with each other which has caused drama. I wish we could all just get along with each other.

Most people won't see this, but this logical fallacy of grouping everyone with the bad people is everywhere. Including furries, LGBTQ, you name it. I'm not any of these, but I recently discovered the rare, chill side of these controversial communities, and it really makes a fresh, deep breath to think about things from the innocents' perspective.

As a kid making gacha videos. Don't worry i don't make gacha heat and i don't watch it i think it's disgusting! And you'll probably agree with that, that side of the community is just horrible. I think for younger kids than me parents should keep an eye on what they're watching and making on the app. Just to make sure kids don't see something they're not supposed to see. I'm aware that,that side of the gacha community exists i just stay out of it. But i'm also glad Visual venture has is covering this.

It has gotten out of control. I'm only staying in the community because I know some good content creators like "RosyClozy", "Beowulf", etc. One part of the community that is seen more by outsiders is the inappropriate side, and that is completely reasonable, the only bad side about that is the more attention they receive = the more they do it. Most, heck, almost all of the people that put inappropriate content in their gacha skits are kids under 13 years of age. Yet they like writing "13+" or "18+" in their videos to get attention. I honestly feel bad for them.
By the way, the people that hate gacha h3at and stuff the most is literally the other side of the community. The effort people put into their works is overshadowed by the inappropriate videos some kids make. And it's very sad that these are KIDS making those type of content. Of course it would be messed up if a grown adult did it- obviously- but this is a different kind of messed up.

I've been playing gacha since 2017. The game itself is family friendly and it does actual help develop creativity. At first the community was extremely kind and welcoming but as time passed, the community slowly became rude, insensitive and ignorant. I left the community myself because it just got filled with so many people that only look for drama, cause drama, make inappropriate content, or just constantly spam videos as if they have no lives. It honestly hurts to see the downfall of the game due to such people, since there were a lot of talented artists/animators within the community, and im sure there still are but majority of the community just sucks now.
I feel like the gacha community has toned down, for me most of the gacha content is quality and kid friendly, like Mika rou and Sasha art. Hopefully the community can block out so much toxic content by getting better content popular.
As a part of the gacha life community, i can confirm gacha heat is destroying the community. Everytime i want to search up something like "gacha life vids" or something that start's with "g" , it always shows up "gacha heat🤤🥵" or "gacha heat farting on boyfriend 18+🥵🤤🥵" and i am disgusted after the results.
The fact that there are a hundreds of gacha tubers that are actually good at it and get embarrassed if somebody asks them about using gacha all due to this Gacha heat.

As a member or the gacha community, I have to say that the heat is probably the first thing you see, since older teenagers normally play the game or even 5 year old with their mom's phones, you'll find either kid-friendly things or gory/sexual content.

As a member of the Gacha community, this thing was saddening. It sucks that the community was portrayed as all bad, when there are prominent and good members of the community. Unfortunately, everything you said and explained is what caused the community to be looked like it is today. I'm not saying it's a bad video, far from it. It's a great video. It's just that it's a tragic story.
Heat has been mostly wiped from YT, they are still doing it, but to a smaller scale.

I have been in this community for about 3-4 years and I can see how toxic the community is this year. The game isn't bad, people see it as bad because of these people doing gacha heat, it's really sad to see how toxic the community is.
The community is child friendly, but people post inappropriate content of it and NSFW content. It's that easy to ban it.
I remember used to being in the community until 2022, seeing nothing but now so much drama and toxicity in there. It’s really disappointing how it to innocent videos/great quality videos from good content creators to inappropriate, exposing videos from bad influencers. I wish the game didn’t really existed honestly, it ruined most of my childhood.
Ya, but for me, back when the game was more kind and welcoming and helpful, it marked a happy point. Most of my classmates knew it then and my sibling and I would watch videos together and even wanted to make a yt channel abt at some point. There really were/ still is talented animators, editors and storytellers. One of my friend still plays gacha life/club/life 2. I'm not as active in the gacha community now but whenever I do see 1 or 2 videos come up on my recommended, their from artist I like and artists and bringing good and exciting news. It makes me happy when I see youtubers I used to watch still make content. With time and more passionate, talented and actually concern and aware gacha users, and I feel that the gacha community might bounce back to life one day, eventually.

as a kid, i used to love gacha life sm. to the point that i watch it everyday on my tablet, ofc, as a kid without internet supervision, watching those types of videos made me happy,, until i was concious of the inappopriate things in the community.(gacha heat, etc) it made a big impact on my life. it gave me an addiction, it made me see "those" types of content at such a young age. now it led me to a life long addiction(hypersexual), im a teen now. if i could go back in time i wouldnt watch or be in the gacha community.

Actually, in gacha club, he did two things. First was a pop up making sure that the creator doesn't use things like nudity, and second, the gacha club app censors swearing

I'm actually in the gaxha community and creator myself and formally apologise for everything in this video. I won't be surprised if he mentions Nehama, Lentotally or Hatsune Rou. They're all pretty bad people and not to mention the gacha heat content.
There is extremely talented and wholesome people in the community, I personally would recommend Vicaton. He's a pretty cool dude and is even making his own game!

I have been in the gacha community for many years, ever since gacha studio was slowly getting popular and i joined in, ive always been on the good side of the community and always get to see so many talented and amazing gachatubers, its sad that i had to watch the community crumble...but im hoping this year those disgusting and awful videos of gacha would be buried deep in the community.
As someone who is actually part of the non-toxic and creative side of the community, I'd like to confirm that this person has done his research very well. What is said here is extremely accurate to the community, as well as the examples shown.
A word of advice to parents: If your child likes Gacha or uses Gacha apps, let them be. However, never give them social media access in any way, especially if they're under 11. It's pretty obvious what would happen.

As a person who was in the gacha community for like 4 years, (I stopped eventually I was simply getting older) the community is GREAT everyone is supportive everyone likes to have fun! The gacha community is so creative as well, and gacha videos are VERY time consuming especially GLMV, GLMM , etc. The only bad part is people stealing videos, impersonation, and heat... and very innapropiate gacha videos. The gacha community doesn't focus on making good MM (mini movies) anymore, they insetad focus on "memes" and short gacha life videos. And those are the worst ones they always have murder, complying that revenge is always the right option, relationships, murder, abuse , SA ,etc.
I mean, there ARE some gacha movies, but you find them usually in fandoms like Undertale and FNAF. But that’s about it.
BUT the movies take time, which some don’t have considering that some people have school and such. And when motivation dies down, so does any chance of any good, quality content to come out and the end product turns out to be lazy and for lack of a better word, rushed.

The worst thing I can ever see is that my kids knowing and doing terrible TERRIBLE things that kids AREN’T suppose to know yet it makes it worse and this game has been scratching my skin. I am very happy for you that you talk about it because if nobody speaks up to it then you have to speak about it
in every game of this type there will always be someone and something like this, such a world. prohibitions will have the opposite effect than intended, and even if someone wants to, they will find a way to circumvent them, someone will always use something contrary to the beliefs of the rest of the community. The problem is who will use what and how, not where or in what.
Growing up as a gacha kid I always liked to make characters and nice stories like some other people so when I saw this vid I didn't know if you where throwing shade at gacha or not but I just want to say around the world there are many different as "we" call them "gachatuber's" some post family friendly content on RUclips and some post disturbing content but it's not all "gachatuber's" some creators that are very passionate about gacha and truly love gacha and want to make people's day better so the only advice I can give is to report any "gacha heat" vids.thank you for letting me pour my heart out about this matter.
