What would you recommend for a cathedral ceiling?

With the ceilings being that high, you have a few options.
If your cutting table is next to a wall, you can use a mini projector on an extended wall mount. Or clamped onto a shelf or something near the table. Somewhere between 5-9ft between projector and table will give you a good image size.
Another option is a short throw projector attached to your table with a desk clamp.
Or use an ultra short throw projector placed on the long side of your table.
If you’d like to attach to a high ceiling (over 9ft between ceiling and table), any standard/long throw projector will work. Just check the maximum recommended throw distance.

@@projectorsewing thanks for the reply. The ceiling is not overly high. A little over 8', but slanted. Unfortunately I cannot do a wall mount as my table sticks out into the middle of the room and that is where I do all my cutting. My husband and I will continue to look for creative solutions, as I just got a projector for my birthday this week.

Which projector did you get? Basic Niche makes mounts for slanted ceilings for certain models.
Another option is to use a universal projector mount with a ball joint at the end, which may allow you to point at the angle you need. Although I’ve found the ball joints don’t always hold the projector tight and droop as time goes on. Sandpaper in the joint helps.
