That situation is awful I pray that I don't go thru that after I pick up from Penske. Hopefully they did the right thing and got everything straight. 🙏 🙏
Make sure you get gap insurance and a warranty on your truck. Preferably the 3 yr warranty that covers everything. It’s definitely a must! Also ask them to run a diagnostic test on the spot when you get there to pick it up. That’s just to make sure there are no engine codes they may have cleared.

If you don't mind me asking how long did it take for you to complete the deal with penske.... I'm almost 6 weeks in the truck was suppose to be ready today but the sells representative will communicate.
It actually took a few months before I got my truck. I think I started the process in June/July and I didn’t actually get my truck until October/November.
Then once I was told my truck was ready it wasn’t ready. That’s how this 3 part series of videos was created.
I bought a truck a picked it up on my Birthday 09/02/2022 in Augusta GA 26ft box truck with lift gate and 37,784 miles. I drove it home to Dothan Al to drove excellent Real Damn Good. I park it and when I went to register it 3 day later the air compressor had went out .That $3000 at freightliner. Cummins Motor and the part is coming from the manufacturer and it stuck in Memphis TN. I will deal with RYDER or New from dealership. The truck is still in the shop Now
That’s crazy!!! I’m sorry to hear that. Which tier of truck was it? Did you get there warranty? I don’t think I’ll be purchasing from them again in the future.
Level 2 2010 frieghtliner 6 speed manual . They didn’t offer cause the year
Damn, I hate that for you man! I’m sure they knew that mf was bogus. I wouldn’t have bought a truck without a warranty personally. The issue that was wrong with mine would’ve been covered under the warranty had I not caught it at their facility. I’d a only had to pay $300 to get it repaired. I hope you get rolling soon. Drive safe, keep grindin and don’t take cheap freight.

I almost purchased a box truck in hazelton pa a level 1 when I went there the truck was a sour patch truck Luckly I declined I was out 500 deposit but its better than losing much more penske sales tactics are shystie

Yea it was definitely the worst. It was the middle tier condition. What they tried to do was not fix it and make me have to use my warranty. The reason I say that is because when I picked it up the head shop guy immediately asked me if I had the warranty. When I replied yes he said “good”. That right there immediately raised an eyebrow, but I didn’t think much of it at the moment.
By me waiting for so long before taking off that’s what allowed the check engine light to emit again after they reset it. It would’ve only been $300 out of pocket for my warranty to cover it. However I shouldn’t have had to pay anything extra.
I just got approved for a level one 2016 freightliner box truck with 180,000 miles out in Jacksonville fl I’m kinda nervous cause I haven’t seen the truck
Just make sure you inspect EVERYTHING on the truck before you leave. If something isn’t right make them fix/replace it.
I’d also request them run a diagnostic while you’re there. Just to make sure there aren’t any cleared codes. Hopefully you purchased the warranty and gap insurance. Do those things and should be fine.
