For everyone ripping the so-called "Photograph" part 2, Chad explained in an interview the band went back to their hometown where they shot the video & witnessed everything they had come to know growing up gone or close to gone. Know the orgin of the song before you comment ignorance or hate.

I'm really impressed with this album, they went right back to their roots with hard rock, melodic rock, and some alt metal. And not one sexual themed song :O I still can't believe it! I'll have to pick up a CD this week
I really liked the album. There were only a few dull/odd moments for me out of it all... especially After The Rain. That instrumental in the middle of Coin for the Ferryman is some damn good shit, too. It's a record I'm glad to have pre-ordered along with the one by Rise Against for my birthday.You should totally make some sort of Nickelback cameo in a video with Scott Riggs' 2005 Nickelback scheme. lol

I'm a massive Nickelback fan, seen them live 3 times, but their lyrics are definitely not the best. They're good, but I can think of a tonne of bands with much more complex and meaningful lyrics. You've got Alter Bridge for a start.
They write the best ballads of any band I've ever listened to!

I met up with some old friends from high school and university recently, and this song really captures that feeling. So many memories. So many good times with friends.
The endless mile we ran when we were on track team, the pizza place we always ate before the nervous race days, the pride of finally making varsity. The tests we stressed about, the teachers we loved or couldn't stand, afternoons in the library finishing homework, napping in the foyer instead of going to study hall. Long evenings tinkering on the robotics team and getting our picture in the local paper when we made it to worlds, mornings playing chess in the cafeteria before first bell and always losing to our favorite history teacher, sneaking out during lunch to buy food from a local shop or cart -- we thought we were so bold! The cafes and gas stations we frequented, the streets and parks we thought we owned, sneaking out at 1AM on school nights to drink and rollick. Eyeing girls across the hall, working up the courage to ask one of them to prom, and the nervous anticipation before the dance. It really was the best of times.
I don't think I peaked in high school, or university for that matter. But life was just so much fun, every fresh and exciting, and doing so many things for the first time, it's impossible not to look back and wish to do it over again.

in a world of total SHIT.. they continue to write songs of positive vibes , life and their childhood. There is beauty in that. It's life... yet with technology we forget that. This band despite it's recent unpopularity in several years put out Music of life lived and hope. That makes more of a difference by far to those that listen and understand life instead of caught up with all the crazy brainwashing Media. You know beauty in life still exists. Nickelback continues to write meaningful songs regardless of trends. We should all be thankful that they stick to their roots.

I really wouldn't say this is Photograph 2.0... I'd say this has more of a High School Reunion feel to it. Whereas Photograph had more of a 'Moving On' theme (with the line of 'It's hard to say it Time to say it Good bye, good bye') This feels more like getting together and remembering the times you had with friends and those times seems to get better with each reunion.
I was thinking this is a more grown up version of Photograph, they've all got their owns lives but meet to reminisce occasionally

"Photograph" was just looking through memories and considering revisiting; "Every Time We're Together" is going through memories, actually revisiting, and realizing you're not alone on the journey. Not saying they're connected, I just find both ideas very cool

Looks like a subtle message of moving on from Avril while acknowledging that they did have good times together. Might be a bit 'Pop' but it is an understandable gesture given what genre she is in. Moreover, its another 'Feel-good' tune like Photograph which outlines the power of memories and friendship.
