The cadence is fine but there's something wrong with the mic audio. It's clipping throughout the whole clip so it's probably bad audio editing.

@@ragerider6283 Pretty much identical power to MT-10, both 150 at the wheel. Riders who've ridden both remark the GSX as the better handling bike with superior brakes where the MT's are quite soft. Build quality lacking on the Yamaha if you compare both side by side, not to mention it's just really lacking in the aesthetics department. In Australia I would have to spend an extra 3-4 thousand for the Yamaha. Seems pretty clear cut to me which one is better value, though each to their own.

It is an amazing bike. I picked up one a few months ago. I thought I would hate the dash based on prior reviews, but to be honest, it works for me. The biggest problem with the dash IMO is that it is not bright enough and gets washed out on sunny/bright days. Oh, also, the OEM exhaust combined with the airbox sound is actually pretty decent. I may not end up going with an aftermarket exhaust after all. That is a big maybe at the moment. 😆

What sealed the deal for me was the fuel capacity and quick shifter on the GSX S-1000. Looks wise I like both, Katana is really unique. I just knew I would be annoyed especially at the fuel capacity part. If someone can live with that (for instance mostly commuting with the bike), the Katana is an awesome bike and truly a looker.

I need help... I sat on a S 750 when they came out, loved it, almost bought it but I've never ridden a 750 so I passed on it. Fast forward to today and I just got a sweet K6 GSXR 1000, very low miles, totally stock, one previous owner, MINT- Should I sell it and get a brand new S is the big question... The R is incredibly fun and just plain cool, but I don't race (would like to try a tack day at some point tho), it has more power than I can use on the street, it's higher maintenance, and it hurts (I'm 6'3" with a messed up back). I know the S would be a much better fit, but the R is a dream bike and I don't think I'll ever find another one as nice. The S is just a bit heavier but makes the same amount of torque (torque is what's important to me), it's detuned which is a good thing for reliability, and I would be able to ride it all day.
What do I do? Will I instantly regret selling it Gixxer after a week riding the GSX-S, or will the S just be a much better bike with enough power to make me forget about the R? It's one or the other, I have to make a choice in the next few months (before spring). Anyone ever ridden both? How do you GSX-S owners feel after a year or so? Still loving the bike?

I found this one by chance window shopping at a dealership while passing by, wasn't even looking, but there it was. I immediately sold the bike I had (DRZ 400) to make room, and brought it home. Been looking at it waiting for this east coast rain to stop. It's technically my first street bike. It's extremely conflicting as I was saving up for a GSX-S 1000 already, but the R is just awesome.

@@Wooskii1 I think you keep the K6 and ride it as long as you can. The handling is supposed to be exquisite on those bikes and we already know how legendary that motor is. If it was 1 owner, sold at a dealership, I’m sure it’s in cosmetically great shape because that was the only complaint about the bikes, the thin paint etc. Yes, the S’s riding position will probably be more ideal for back pain, but the K6 is supposed to be one of the more comfortable super bikes while also providing better wind protection at speed with its fairings. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice... That's 1 compelling argument to keep it (yea it looks brand new!) and one to move to the S (I want to be able to take long trips). I'm still just as torn...
Luckily my dad rides (He loves that Gixxer but won't admit it- I heard him romping on it much harder than I do every time he rode it) He has 2 very nice classic bikes, so maybe he'll finally take my advice and get a 3rd for daily riding (maybe a used GSX-S that we keep in his garage?😈) If I go halves with him lol.
I'll definitely ride it for the last few days of the season, winterize it, then decide next spring.
I'm actually already getting used to that crotch rocket seating again- been doing stretches just to enjoy the ride for more than a half hour (killing 2 birds with 1 stone?)

Good review. Had a '16. Good bike. Loved the engine. Only gripe was the brakes weren't that great and the transmission was too close of a ratio...you could ride in any gear, lol. Great bang for the buck though.

Loved the engine, the (great) chassis and the front, plenty of feel, I could easily read the speed/revs. Disliked the brakes. But why we pay 13500 euros in Europe and in US u buy it for 11000$. If it was 11500 euro I wouldnt even think about it (if i had the money lol)

This is anything but a learners bike, but those mirrors make it look like it is. Will be whipping them off straight away. Other than a couple of normal mods such as tail tidy, it’s a beauty. Feels amazing for ride. Huge bonus is I’m 5’4” and I can touch the ground! Cheaper %apr than Kawasaki etc

Suzuki just keeps it simple and it always works. Glad to see no cruise control and bs like that. Would prefer analog tach and no lcd/tft crap, and no "modes"! Too bad it is the ugliest bike suzuki has ever produced. Gotta go with the R, for looks alone.
