You and me both! Yeah the better BEC and being able to control the drag brake from the transmitter is what I believe is the best part to the 1080 G2. Thanks for watching, commenting, and liking.
You should if you have an extra channel on your radio. If you don't the only thing you'll benefit from it is the better BEC voltage range with 4amp output. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Being it's a Traxxas RC you will have to, at most, the battery connecter. I do know some of the Hobbywing ESCs come with the standard motor connecters and most of the newer ones have the XT60 connecter on the input (battery side). So if you get the right one, all you would need to do is get the plug converter from the traxxas to XT60 and/or update batteries as needed with XT60s. Like this, amzn.to/3KA14Ya
I would have to agree with you that yes, when rock crawling you want it to be a smooth and quick operation between Forwards and Reverse. But for the people that want true scale driving will love the Real Car Mode. Like when I was at USTE, I had it in my truck with the real car mode on. I had a blast with it on the trails but when I'm rock crawling it's a pain in the but to keep switching between Drive and Reverse.
I am definitely picking 2 of these up, but I don't think I'll ever use the "real driving mode" it has no performance benefit for me and my crawlers, and would be confusing at times. In crawling many time I need instant reverse to stop a roll over and this would inhibit that ability. I can see certain racing type RCs maybe taking advantage of it.
I'm so very interested in this for the drag brake option, great video

Hey, thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked it. As for your question, I'm not sure what you're asking about. Can you clarify it?
@@metalgearrc2166 can I put this esc to my trx4 easily or I must cut and solder the wires with the stock motor?
