They just clean Kensington but they didn't clean Allegheny they went right around the corner and doing the same thing they did on Kensington streets you can't clear a section of the city when they have no place to go where are they going go to different parts of the neighborhood move into your neighborhood they need a place to go permanent😊
I don't live there, however, there are enough videos to narrate the conditions. No city in the US will provide folks a permanent place to live who are using, that's why they offer treatment first. After long-term, inpatient treatment, plus sober living (its typically 1 yr) they are given many resources and will have both a job, and be able to pay for a place to live permanently. (also, based off age/income/disability) can include income based housing, roommate, etc.) but I guarantee that person will not be living on the sidewalk anymore.
They are going to clear room and bring in the migrants from Colombia 🇨🇴 or Venezuela 🇻🇪 or Guatemala 🇬🇹 or Honduras 🇭🇳 or Ghana 🇬🇭 or Nigeria 🇳🇬 or Senegal 🇸🇳 or Togo 🇹🇬 or Cuba 🇨🇺 or Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Haiti 🇭🇹 and the Ukraine 🇺🇦 and China 🇨🇳 to take the overload from New York.

Amen. That corridor has been internationally notorious for YEARS. I hope the city, county, state and feds are able to provide meaningful rehab to those who want it.
Or they are clearing out space for the Asylum seekers err illegal immigrants from Venezuela 🇻🇪 or Honduras 🇭🇳 or 🇳🇮 or Colombia 🇨🇴 or Ecuador 🇪🇨 or maybe Ghana 🇬🇭 or Nigeria 🇳🇬 or Senegal 🇸🇳 and some Ukraine 🇺🇦 or even China 🇨🇳. That is also what they are doing. .

The drugs problem needs to be addressed, before anything can change, it’s a scourge on the USA, it saddens me to see the change over the years, across the pond in Britain things aren’t as bad these days hopefully you’ll get to grips with it and the people get help/treatment 🙏🏻
Im really confused, why wasn't this done year's ago and if this was a drug free zone and dealers and buyers weren't arrested what about the drugs in other parts of Philadelphia. The only reason this is happening is that area is going to be gentrified 💰💰
shouldn't these people be fined $1,000 for public intoxication, then eventually arrested for failure to pay? credit to the mayor, but I think Philadelphia needs to enforce the Law.
Homeless I was, now in 'Housing First' in another stare I live. Much trauma in my life and staying clean (drug free) AND living indoors is hard work. Recovery is possible.
All they did was move them a coupe of hundred yards. They are all still there. Just a block or two away. The Mayor seems to have gone very quiet since her media day in the sun. Nothing has changed. Anyone who thinks it has, need to take a wander through the streets themselves (and not just on Kensington Avenue). There are 24/7 live cam videos. Watch them for yourselves.
Some real estate companies want to gentrify Kensinngton by buying property cheap and deveopin into high rents and more homeless than before.😢 Just somewhere else.
My biggest question is. Where are people going to go after that? I have seen cops in Phoenix Arizona forced people off of property who are sleeping on the streets near the Walmart that I used to work at when I was living in Phoenix Arizona. So apparently this is everywhere. Yet it seems as though nothing is being done about the populace of homeless people.
Saving Kensington What what about the human lives That need to be saved Kensington will always be there, but the human being that needs so much help in this crisis won't 😢
Whether we all feel it’s gonna last or not,…let’s think of it as at least a positive step towards a change and pray or keep your fingers crossed that it will last. And pray that those people get the help they need.
It'll be around different streets in Kensington considering its an area. However because its a rough areas no matter what street they go onto they won't be at any harm
They cracked down on the homeless but not the drug monopoly ran there that keeps them stuck on the streets cuz that makes sense. Where did they put the homeless? Into homes or a different street? So they just moved the problem?
No trashcans not 1 payments are in their worst conditions addicts are in alleyways and sidestreets and abandant buildings bodies will be hard to find now. Some wont be saved either as fast as on Kensington ave.
Becoming a third world country. Scary very scary like shanty towns Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦 or Favela Complex De Almaldo Rio De Janeiro Brazil 🇧🇷 or the poor sections of Medellin Antioquia Colombia 🇨🇴. Man that is scary

Funny enough, I happen to live in a neighborhood called Kensington but it's in NYC. Unfortunately there's some bums that roam around here as well. Feels like the name might be cursed.
Move them but they will find a different place as long as it's drugs on the streets. That's like putting a bandaid on an open wound that's in all the states that's dealing with this Even in my city PHX az

This action should have taken place years ago.
The last 2 mayor's were lossers
I'm from Philly, trust me they all will be back! to mess it up ALL AGAIN!
Or they are bringing in the illegals to combat the overflow from New Uork and midtown Manhattan.
Thank You! I'm NOT from Philly! Never been there but I know better! Right back to normal in a week!
They're all on Vine St near Chinatown now...

right this 1 am the following day. its all back lol. every single addict is chilling and there is not a single police officer standing there right now

Bring that mayor to nyc immediately
i hope this wasnt to get outsiders to come there and shop, or eat, or jog....that stigma the junkies left will linger for a long long time
So now where are they going to Electric Ave and then they can take it higher
N they'll be back!!! The homeless move to other blocks, and will, eventually, move back to EXACTLY this intersection. You'll see.

36 out os how many? Where did the rest of them go?
They just wander into another part of Philly probably, agree lol

One question. Where did they move?
Beautiful effort ... let's double down and keep it that way. ❤
Where’d they go
Must be big election coming
Where are they moving them to? Surely it will just put the problem onto someone else?
I never been there but does that street look a little like Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn
it's about freaking time! But where are these people going?
Couldn’t they just convert an old Walmart into a treatment center and prescribe them pharmaceuticals. Kind of like an asylum/type deal.

Yeppers
Drugs should never been put in those communities in the first place by those in high places.🤔
So where did all the people go? Relocated where? I don't understand how this works.
🤔
What happened to the people that were on in that area whom refused health services?
WHY ARE THESE TWO REPORTERS STANDING SO FAR APART...........DO THEY HATE EACH OTHER........
