I'm so sad that the co-op Bloody Palace never made it into 5, it's weird to me because they have fully functional co-op in the game already, but you can only be matched with randoms who happen to be playing the same mission at just the right time, and even then there's only 2 specific missions in the entire game that have it. I feel like it would be really fun to just mess around with a friend in it
I think because Bloody Palace has always been balanced around single player. Co-op would have made it too easy? I wish they added it anyway though. The Combo MAD videos with 2 players would be insane to watch.
The modders did bring back online compatibility not only to bloody palace but to the campaigns as well

@@DkKombo I would agree with the cut costs tho... because mainly what they wanted was the cameo system... but to implement a full supported multiplayer wasnt feasible for the time window when they were gonna ship the product so they just abandon that code there
Dmc3 on switch had multiplayer iirc, its just that implementing it with 5 is much more difficult and costly to get it to work

The Mermaid, the Deer/Gargoyle Demons look like something out from Bayonetta.
I mean, the Deer/Gargoyle Demons share a lot in common, with the Angels enemies design in Bayonetta.
The traditionel Demon-like enemie, looks like a Goliath Prototype.
And the Horseman reminds me on the Cavaliere/Geryon Knight.
Does everyone even care that DMC2 deserves a remake? I want Lucia to come back as part of the DMC crew, Seeing Dante's outfit in RE Engine graphics, Revamped Story, Better Boss fights, New Devil Arms, Return of the Amulet System, and the explanation of dante's sudden change of personality to being cocky and goofy to being serious and brooding. Man i hope Itsuno will have plans to remake this game so that it's 19 years of black sheep status will finally be removed.

Dante's change is because to the best of his knowledge his brother was dead.
He was able to put on a strong face through DMC1 but after that he got hit hard. By DMC2 he was actually less depressed than he was in the anime.
Both DMC1 and Dmc2 deserves a proper remake but DMC2 deserves it more since that title was handled by a team of idiots which resulted in the game being bad. Which could fix a lot of problems and even make the Dante and Lucia campaign even more inter-connected as well as their relationship since in DMCV prequel novel we get hints that Both like each other but dante is just bad with women.

Wtf they had co op bloody palace in the files (somewhat) but never finished. I wanted that feature in forever.
DMC1 still remains my all time favorite game ever made.
I really like 3 and 4, but 1 is just special. Even if they do remake it, the original is still unreplacable.

You forgot the concept art of Nero's real DT and Dante's perfect DT in DMC4 that were likely cut for time
From what I've heard, Dante and Vergil are planned to appear in future games, but Dante is taking more of a supporting cast role so Nero can be the main character. I have mixed feelings about this, even though it's obviously been getting set up since 4. On one hand, Nero just doesn't have the same goofy appeal that Dante has, but on the other hand I'm completely all for the idea of Vergil being a supporting party member fighting alongside the others rather than an enemy or solo act for once.
Insert joke about Vergil stealing Nero's hand here.

As far as I know, both Dante's and Vergil's story has already ended. Dragging it on more would probably destroy their characters overtime. Just look at how The Simpsons turned out compared to Gravity Falls, for example. Letting something end in its own time is important
@@nosh62 I know people like to harp on about the Simpsons not being as good as previous seasons, but I still think it has a charm to it that other adult animated sitcoms lack. I mean, look at Family Guy now compared to before. It's humour has gone into pretty gross territory now, more for shock value than to make people laugh.

Dante was actually supposed to become One of the strongest character in fiction once, many don't know that the DMC4 Artbook was supposed to expand on what the Majin DT Was supposed to be in 2 and It was supposed to re-appear in 4, but didn't make It in the final product beacuse It ran outta budget.
The form was supposed to be pure Evil, so Evil that It became a God instead of a Devil, It was supposed to lead Dante to slowly lose his human consciousness and Turn him into a Feral being, and the form was Stated as truly invincible or seemingly all powerful, and the more Dante would lose control of himself, the more he'd tap into that infinite Power of his.
It's Also to be noted that Dante's name is not mentioned once he Is in Majin/perfect DT as the Artbook calls it, beacuse he Is likely possessed by another demon throughout his consciousness, so that's not Dante anymore, Just the guy Who embodies all things in existence and non-existence as well, since the human and demon energy duality in DMC.
In the meanwhile, he slowly starts to lose that human consciousness and therefore the human side of his Is catching up to him as well, and Is slowly being dragged by the mind demon pulling him to the other side.
So, the Invincibility thing in DMC2 Is not Just a game mechanic, Majin form was originally supposed to be stronger than Sin DT and was supposed to appear as a last Moment resource that in Turn would result in Dante having to occour to It to defeat the Savior and become a last minute boss where Nero would be having to go through the deepest roots of Hell to save his uncle which led by him, but eventually that idea was scratched and we got Majin replaced with Sin DT in 5, probably beacuse of budget but IMO Also beacuse It would result as impractical, beacuse the Demon God/King title Just Doesn't fit Dante, DMC2 Already tried to take a different, more Dark approach compared to the light-hearted nature of the series that was able to Turn even the most Evil and terrible Monsters as a form of sympathy for the public, and we know how bad trying to change direction for that game went...
Tbh, judging how dark and gritty the form was supposed to be, litterally having a realistic physical health impairing strain on the body, that sounds too dark for Vergil even, since It litterally explores the Deep roots of mental disorders and pshycology of the mind...
To me DMC2 got alot of flack because of how bad and changed the gameplay was. Dante wasn't as talkative, as he was still stylish and a bit of smart ass with his coin flips and what not. Otherwise the other bits of the story wasn't strong either which didnt help.
If they had made him lose him self in his power it woulda fit so well with the lyrics in 5

Like many people Already pointed out, this Is Just wrong, and now i Will address some of these points in a more specific Manner:
1) Sin DT and Perfect DT are the Same form, it's Just their concept Is expressed differently.
Perfect DT's morality Is that of litterally embracing the Demon inside you by sacrificing the human side INTO the Demon side, but the thing Is that in order for the form to work It STILL needs both sides to work togheter.
The Key Word One has to look for when looking at the form's mechanics Is "into".
So, in a way, It Is a more childish and immature representation on how Dante can get the Power he has, by embracing the Demon inside, realizing he has a Dark Side too and letting go of his hatred for his dad.
Sin DT Is Perfect DT, it's Just that the moral Is that Dante feels like the Demon inside of him is constatantly taking over him, and in 5 instead of "accepting" the Demon's offer, he transforms his thoughts and feelings through his human side.
Like Dante says to Urizen, "Power comes in response to a Need, the Will power to protect Someone else", so Metaphorically, Dante had accepted his Demon side, but only After he was able, through his human side, to realize It was the only possible Scenario he's had to save humanity from Vergil, he didn't all of a sudden start thinking that his Demon side Is the Right One and he must bring Chaos throughout the entire world.
Basically It does what Perfect DT does, Just to the exact opposite extremes.
As for Majin, It Is a completely different forms from these two, and we don't exactly know how It works, or if It Is even Canon anymore.
Many Argue It Is Just an incomplete Sin DT beacuse of the Japanese name of both being the same, but the mechanics of both the forms are really different, so We'll never fulky know the Truth.
It Is true that the form activates under a response to a Need, but Dante Also often partially triggers It when he Is Angry like when V mentions about Vergil's return in the Visions of V Novel and in the DMC3 Manga It Is a chemical reaction to his Demon Blood being sucked by the Mad Hatter, or as we saw against Despair Emobodied, the response that comes to him transforming into It Is completely subconscious, even if It an instictual reaction to survival, Dante has definitely no control over It when he's transformed, and it's likely that he Doesn't even know about it's existence.
2) By Truly invincible and All powerful, they definitely meant It metaphorically, as in he Is the strongest being in his own Universe and not Litterally the strongest being as in omnipotent levels of strong.
If that wasn't the case, there would be no way Nero would Also have a concept of Perfect DT and Also Dante wouldn't have a litteral twin Brother that can do the exact Same things that he does, they Just meant It as in in his universe he Is among all but not by categories above, just a Little bit stronger than Vergil(not by a lot as you can still judge them as equal when they fight) and much stronger than anyone else, and being the strongest in your verse Doesn't make you omnipotent or truly invincible, at all.
There's much more to omnipotence than just straight up sheer Power.
3) Wrong, the normal DT Already makes you a fully completely different Being, that's why you can see Dante has no problems in Sitting on Berial's coat even though the Coat catched on Fire as It isn't demonic by nature, beacuse DT gives you a healing factor and all the wearing Dante has had previously disappears so It won't be exposed to enemy attacks, and when Dante Is back in his Base he Will have them all regenerated back, as long as they aren't completely destroyed.
It would make no Sense for Dante to be possessed if he Is Already a full Demon in DT with a different level of consciousness altogheter.
4) DMC2 was Just a poorly developed game that was rushed due to having been developed on the wrong direction by a last minute developer that replaced Kamiya, the gameplay Is litterally repetitive and so OP you can kill anyone with the Guns and complete the game with them, and don't try to pull the "Dante Is depressed beacuse of Vergil and so he isn't screwing around anymore", beacuse Dante still has few but very funny Lines in the game, whereas in the DMC anime, where his depression for Vergil Is actually being treated as an Argument, he barely has any funny Lines and Is willing to even Kill Trish and Lady if they don't stop arguing while he's annoyed.
People truly wanna make Dante look like something that he Isn't, and i truly don't know What's so funny about that.

It's insane to realize that, had that original concept for Resident Evil 4 not been scrapped and re-tooled, we might've never had the Devil May Cry series or, at best, it would've been far different.

As much as doppelgänger is awesome, I was playing vergil in 4SE and the normal devil trigger felt just a bit more natural imo. Honestly hope dmc 6 properly closes dante and Vergil’s book, 5’s ending was good but I feel we need just one more on the quality of 5. Have dante and vergil be the focus of the story, allowing them to actually bond and perhaps say sacrifice themselves to perma Kill mundus

It could also be that someone didn't want to come up with new SDT moves so they just scratched that option. That or they didn't want him to be like Dante
5:02 I’m guessing they took that out because it would be too mean to say towards newer players of the series, but who knows. But that wouldn’t make sense since it’s Vergil on easy mode and you can only get Virgil after beating the game so the phrase does not make much sense.
Sounds like DMC5 did have plans for a proper coop mode after all. Imagine how hype it would've had it actually been carried out in the official release of DMC5.

We always knew there were more to the online components than what shipped with the game. So Capcom really was trying to build an online experience besides the eventual mission encounters but must have decided to scratch it out and maybe leave it for a future project or abandoning the idea of online as a main feature for the series.
I bet it highly likely we'll get an online Blood Palace with the next game, and maybe a proper co-op mode

The orginal section when you play as dante was also cut from DMC4, due to time constraints. so they just made Dante run backwards through Nero's levels instead

As someone who has yet to play DMC5, I'm torn. On one hand I'm glad that I'm aware of that now. On the other hand I now have to live with the disappointment that I'll never hear Nero use that taunt when I play DMC5.

Death sentence is very much a used item. It's a key item to progress used in Mission 4, but it's cool that it might have intended to be a weapon.

Any DMC5 cut enemy concept probably weren't "cut" per se, since 5 uses its enemy variety to fill nearly every archetype the series has ever had. Kelpie very much looks like a basic form of what would become Artemis, the general shape, weird lights, and even the peel back face. The demon with a mouth for a stomach looks like a lesser or pre version of Goliath, the first boss. The Horseman is probably just a first pass at Elder Geryon Knight, or maybe an idea for a enemy version. And the winged deer witch thing is probably what became Baphomet and Lusachia.
u can search it up but in dmc3 dante could use yamato like vergil. Its n easter egg
