I’ve been keeping up with you guys for about four years now and I have to say Shane looks better with every video. He looks healthier, stronger and more vibrant. Keep up the good work you two!!
Have also noticed, especially in recent months, Shane's speech is clearer and he has more vocal stamina when speaking. Was a time when Hannah did most of the talking and he'd defer to her. His voice was weaker and he'd easily fatigue if speaking for any length of time. Good to see such improvement. 😊
There's definitely something satisfying about slowly furnishing your home instead of rushing. It will continue to evolve and you'll make it your own in time!
I too have a lemon tree and get too many to use. Take a juicer out and freeze 1 cup of juice and place in freezer bags flat in the freezer. Come summer you'll be able to make the BEST lemonade! The kids in my neighborhood will actually come to my house asking if I have any lemonade. Welcome to California

Laundry door was ment for smaller machines from back in the day. What I found out with ours is just shift the upper door sliding bar forwars towards you, there is space once you move the bit of frame thats there.

ooo a flip probably cut corners.. on that door check if the hinges are flush, or if the door is slightly too wide for the space.. if you push it closed check on both sides of the door to see where its hitting. hard to tell. been eons since I had that kind of door.. maybe check the pins if they are sitting correctly. at the top n bottom.. or just remove it.. we put shower curtains or curtains over some closets. ahh adulting.. an extra drawer in he freezer is awesome. house looks great. next you'll discover the GOOD boxes lol.

"I sleep in the sink"...same, Shane. Same. I moved from a cold climate (MA) to a warm climate (AZ, "warm" might be underselling it) about 3 years ago, was absolutely worth it! Enjoy your lovely new home! Adding - I worked for Wayfair (who also own AllModern) back in the early 10's when I was fresh out of school. Can get some great stuff there, it's where my couch and loveseat are from.

Your house is similar floorplan as mine! Typical LA design. I'm so glad you got a great house. We have a fireplace but we have to crank up the air conditioning to light it. Yes! You need a lemon tree. Watch for aphids and scale. Make frozen lemonade while the season is here. half cup lemon juice and one cup sugar. Put it in a plastic container and freeze for when you want lemonade. Dump the container in the pitcher and fill with water. If too tart, add sugar, if too sweet get more lemon juice. Also make lemon ice cubes to use for fish or other dishes. Have you felt any of the little earthquakes we've had lately?
I read the other comment about the bifold doors and hinge placement. Problems we have had with bifold doors have had nothing to do with the location of the hinge between the panels; instead our problems have been with adjusting the spring in the track at the opening edge (left end for your door to laundry). Usually an adjustment is possible here. I cannot advise farther, because there is not enough information and the assemblies differ. If there is too much spring pressure, the door will not close flat or will not stay closed. Oddly, though, there must be some spring pressure, though, to make the door stay flat when you close it. We got lucky in our previous house that had three sets of very tall, very heavy double bi-fold door sets, because there was an installation label stuck onto the back side of one door. After reading it, we were able to fix the set of doors where one side had begun to sag and the mounting hardware needed to be reinstalled at the frame (removing that panel pair is how we found the label) and adjust them to work properly, adjust a second set of doors so they worked perfectly, and adjust the third set of doors so that they worked most of the time.

As a 62 year old who’s been married over 30 years, I want to share an observation regarding some of the trolls and naysayers. It’s obvious that you’re for real; the way Hannah looks at Shane with such joy, the way you weave your conversations together. I can’t imagine what prompts people to want to not just have an opinion about you, but actually state falsehoods as if they were facts in a public forum. What a monumental waste of time. My marathon watching of your videos started out from curiosity; I admit that, and I questioned the reality at first. But I stayed because of the education, the humor, and the warmth. I have no doubts, I only feel “happy” for both of you. I hope you both have as many years of marital happiness that I and my wife have had, plus a lot more. BTW we have a Doodle dog named Teddy who acts and expresses himself exactly the way your poodle acts, it’s really weird to see; especially when you scruff her around on the bed (he side-bites the covers, rubs his face everywhere, rolls over for the chest rub, etc) I know you get so many comments you’ll probably never read this, but still wanted to say thanks for the great content! I actually watched it again like a couple years ago and thought it was kinda depressing. You both have sparked each other's lives so well that now you're glowing! My sister moved from Pennsylvania to California about 20 years ago and raised a couple of kids w/ her husband in Encino. I actually watched it again like a couple years ago and thought it was kinda depressing. You both have sparked each other's lives so well that now you're glowing! My sister moved from Pennsylvania to California about 20 years ago and raised a couple of kids w/ her husband in Encino. They have a little lemon tree they seemed weirdly proud of, probably an East Coasters' thing hehehe🙃 Even tho my family probably will never "break bread" with you guys, I still feel like I've known yas for ages. Shane, you have made me laugh when I never thought I'd smile again so it really didn't take me any convincing to see Hannah loves you for you; you're a catch and she's lucky to have you😉 Anyway, sorry I wrote a novel here in your comment section.
