I'm the same! your vocal range should be alto by the sounds of it :) hope this helps!
As an alto 2 (female tenor lowkey), I have a sop 2-alto 2 range which I understand most people don’t. What helps me is in his key, I try to sing harmony or the octave up even tho I don’t struggle much with his notes or in this one, I sing the octave down! Don’t know if that helps, but it works for me!
Try an octave higher on the lower one (the original) or an octave lower on the higher one .. hope this helps..

gabby also, for the key changes, the first "and there..." is a major 6th, and the second "follow me. There" is a perfect 5th. i was having trouble with that so i thought id mention it
The music is perfect I just have trouble with the key changes and you know the notes I will never be able to belt cause my vocal range says no
I sang the "On my FACEEEEEEE" note right when the clock hit 12:00(midnight) it was amazing!

Hi Sophia. It's a tricky song to follow without any visual prompt, that's for sure! Lots of liberties that would normally be led by the singer are being led by the pianist here in the recording instead. That's just how things go in pre-made recordings...live performances are so much better for this sort of thing! Best wishes as you get used to singing with it. Yep, you can use it in a video, please just give me credit.

I did a test recording of this song this morning, actually. It's going to be a tough one to do well. Learning by ear + not the greatest keyboard + piano only (no bass, no drums, no guitar) = lots of different things to pull off well. We shall see whether I do a take that I like enough to post!

WAAAAY too fast. Compared to the original this is ridiculously fast and leaves no room for adding emotion to the melody.
