First, they probably never gonna see this, but a huge shout-out to Alexander, Mark, Arnas and Ewan, for portraying these characters so perfectly! They are fcking amazing!
Season 5 was fantastic, and that ending… oh boy, it was the perfect way to end this wonderful series. Can’t wait for the movie!!
I read the books before the series and I loved them, but I have to say I loved the series even more (sorry Mr. Cornwell) and it is mostly thanks to the fantastic cast who brought these characters to life.
Also, as a hungarian it was extra fun, knowing it was shot not far from where I live.
Back to the video. My favorite part of the series was the brotherhood and the loyalty between these four, and I wanted to show it in this video. I know it could have been two separate video, but I wanted to end it on a happy note. So here it is, I hope you guys like it!

The Brotherhood is what kept me hooked on the show. the sheer loyalty and friendship with each other is what made the show even better. without it I wouldn't feel as strongly as I do about the show now.
Yes. And when osferth died i felt heartbroken so bad. And when the last fight at bebbanburg. Uhtred asked sihtric to look for finan i was really scared if finan was died in the battlefield
I was so sad when Osferth died. But he died a man.
The actor is now Aemond the one eyed on House of the Dragon. The man has range, definitely.

Same. I think I had finally let myself believe that everyone was safe; since it was the last season I figured it would make sense to finish it together.
It happened so suddenly, I didn't even feel like viewers had a chance to really sit and cry about it. While watching season 5 for the first time I just paused the episode, closed my laptop and walked away. I was gutted, and needed a second to regroup.
Also hurts that Finan didn't get to be the one to take out Bresal.
The guy who plays Osferth is brilliant. You can tell how much he's grown just by how he walks and carries his arms. At first he tends to close up with his hand on his chin, then he's a little more at ease with his brothers, hands behind his back, finally he swaggers like the rest of the warriors in the final seasons
Ewan Mitchell, now he will portray Aemond Targaryen in House of the Dragon

The strength of this show comes from how great everyone’s chemistry was. You could feel how much the show meant to everyone.
Agreed, casting was absolute perfection. Very rare for any show to truly get it right- TLK did. The ONLY other series I can think of that truly got it right is The Chosen. Maybe add Colony, with Josh Holloway.
It's the subtleties, a shared a look, an arm around the shoulder, a soft touch. It really shows how well of bond these actors created throughout the show. And it displayed perfectly. An absolutley masterclass.
Watching the behind the scenes videos and you can see the camaraderie and friendships, the horsing around, the trashing talking, joking, around. That's something that cannot be faked, even by 'actors.'
When a show makes a person living in 2023 want to live in the late 900s and follow a man, a brotherhood, and be part of something, I’d say the show was a great a show, from actors to chosen font style. The most amazing series ever.

This epic show is so underrated. From beginning to end. The storytelling is brilliant. It’s everything game of thrones should have been. A complete series from beginning to end.

I like how they actually tell you where each scene is being held at! So we are not guessing where they are like some shows!!! "Witcher" lol
@@antthuggin826 I also loved how they showed the original name/spellings of locations and then have it morph into what we know it as today. Some were obvious, but those that were not, it was cool to make the connection.

We finished watching season 5 last night. The Last Kingdom is such a wonderful show and has become my favorite ever! Everything about it, from the great actors, costuming, directing and the music is so amazing! That Alexander Dreymon puts so much time and effort into staying fit through exercising, karate, and also developing his horse riding skills is magnificent! I will miss the history, and daily fun in watching this show and the special friendships of these people. I wish it would only continue!!!
There will be a movie to finish it all up.

When sihtric “betrayed” uhtred all as part of a plan I was so heartbroken. Then when it was revealed that it was their plan all along I was so damn happy haha

I never bought it😂😂...it seemed petty for all that history to be thrown out after one fight,though the reasoning was compelling so I kept hoping I was right..(honestly I was in denial😂)
Saw the trailer for the first episode right when the first season came out and brushed it off. Started the first episode thinking I was gonna hate this show and then I binged all 5 seasons at once. One of the best shows I ever seen.

@@christopaci70 It was slow for the first season but got better with each. GoT got worse towards the end so, this one won't disappoint.

Gosh, Osferth's death still hurts so much.. I miss this show, their bond was so beautiful.
there are some shows, that show brothers and their bonds. this for me, is one of the greatest shows that detail the loyalty of a band of brothers. they are loyal to uhtred without a fault, and he shows them that same loyalty. the dedication and care for each other is beautifully shown, and im sad to see it end.
The Osferth's death with this music almost makes me cry.

I'm gonna start watching this. I came here for Ewan Mitchell and stayed for this deep friendship and brotherhood. I can't wait to get to know these characters. I feel that the writings and characters are really solid here. Thank you Ewan for being an amazing Aemond One Eye, and now i get to truly witness him being a versatile actor. Osferth, can't wait to know you. Ewan is really lowkey i like it.
I didn't even start The Last Kingdom yet but this fmv is already pulling me in. Such deep friendship.

I grabbed a wooden sword that I made similar to uthred's sword and let say that the sword wasn't the only thing it broke
They all had really great chemistry and it is what makes this show great. it really is a great depiction of how strong friendships and brotherhoods can form in dangerous times.

This is one of only two shows that when I finished watching it I wanted to go right back to the beginning and watch it again

@@raimundematiusaityte9929 Bosch.. if you don’t know it’s a detective show.. grizzled, long serving detective, skirts close to the edge of the line of bureaucracy but is a gun at what he does.. you know the usual kind of thing. Stars Titus Welliver.. if you like cop shows I’d recommend it.

After the series finale and the release of the movie, Finan and Sihtric really deserve a spin-off, which is going to happen after the events of The Last Kingdom.

It really is, and they probably wanted to keep it like that. So many shows drag on and ruin the good thing they had. But I also would've loved to see more of this show, it was just amazing! I can't wait for the movie next year though!!

Glad Finan made it through. He, Uhtred, and Halig went through much despite Halig falling.
My mind is made up . I am watching all 5 seasons again. I think I missed a lot having watched the many interviews with Alexander and the cast ... must be the best series of the century
I don’t trust anyone who hates these four brothers. Like literally they’re the best, at times of wars and struggles they’re together having fun and protecting each other, i love this show so damn much and one of the reasons is this lovely friendship
They are such good friends. I really liked that when Sihtric and Finan get captured at Bebbanburg Uthred immediately goes back to help them, but the bros say we 'll manage, go and find Aethelflaed' s daughter!
There are so loyal to each other.
One of the main reasons I love this show so much is because of the bond between Uhtred, his friends and his brother. A show that glorifies this kind of undying loyalty is rare these days
This is truly the greatest show ever! Thank you to everyone that came together to make it happen.

Despite the show's historical inaccuracies (the battles, shields, etc) it still has a really charming appeal that other shows set in this era just couldn't get right. Especially the chemistry between these guys.
Compared to Vikings, the show honestly did quite well telling the Saxon history. There is obviously some inaccuracies for the sake of cinematic appeal but it didn’t do too bad.
And I am bounded to this series ❤️… I have seen it many a times , lost count. Know it word by word ❤️

I always thought of them as " Lord Uhtreds Commandos". It seemed like if any battle needed a special mission behind enemy lines completed it was always Uhtred and his small crew that was left to accomplish it to help the larger army they were allied with win. Much like a small commando unit would do.

I could just cry!🥹You see the love in their eyes every time they seen each other it’s warm..warmth💕. They are the definition of love! Drop everything for each other. Their love was so real.

Wow!! That was really well done!! The best brotherhood on TV, that I’ve ever witnessed, anyways. I really Wish TLK would do a spin-off series about Finan, who was a part of a really wealthy (royal?) family in Ireland. Delve into his life before he became a slave and met Uhtred. I was gutted when Osfirth died, thanks to HOTD on HBO. I would have rather see him survive on TLK than watch him in that series, though he did a fine job there as well. I Love Uhtred & his pretty boys!! ❤

Because there are so many media companies, actors are a dime a dozen and acting has been mediocre at best for the last 20 years. How this show got so many great actors in one place is a testament to the creators/producers/directors. Phenomenal show! Maybe the best I’ve seen in my 54 year lifetime.
