What a great guy and guitarist. Frank and honest. I saw his band supporting Eric. His rapport with the audience was great and his band and music even better. Thanks Andy.
Really really loved that..never knew he did so much and played with so many..and a what a great guy..im 75 now and guitars all around the house and never did anything with them, to late now but love watching others like Andy..TOP man thx Andy loved every second of the vid..👍
So good to see Andy still doing what he does best, performing and playing the guitar. Well recall him with Amen Corner and he has still got the brilliant playing and voice we all loved. Well done on this and thoroughly enjoyed!
You got me with ‘dreading that one tune’ of the set. I’m a first call “pit guitarist” that’s played hundreds of shows… there is always that one cue, song, section, etc. in a show that I dread and, if being honest, can fear. Great stuff, thank you!
I was a big fan of his solo carreer...then I finally got to meet him suppoting Dennis Loccoriere...such a lovely unassuming guy....and great guitarist/vocalist👏👏👏
We attended an outstanding show several years ago at Biggar Arts Festival. AFL performed with a reduced version of the Low Riders and it was a joy to watch and listen to a master show his singing and guitar playing talents. If he's ever playing in your locality you won't ever regret buying a ticket 🙏👏👌
We shared a bottle of red together at an award ceremony back stage a few years back. Just chatting guitars and life. Never forget it. Lovely man and speaks the right road as a musician. I was a nobody on stage with the artist, did my job, guitar in case but got a chance to meet a legend. Love his playing, tone, vocals. Catch him if you can people. :)
Good man, nearly married as long as me, i always say the best medicine is music. Wide eyed and legless, thats us music moguls, proper singers and song writers like you, God bless to you and family. x
So looking forward to Andy returning to The Shanklin Theatre, Isle of Wight at the end of January. He's such a genuine guy and a seasoned professional performer.
Andy: my you God of choice bless you forever, mate🥰 I still have all the Amen Corner singles (even the obscure ones) and all your albums, including Mega Shebang: all sooooooperb😘 You just always brassed me off for never coming over my way to play live 😭
Went to see him at The Pavilion Hemel Hempstead in the 70s, got there to find the Gig cancelled, finally got to see him in a church hall in High Wycombe 10 years ago, he was brilliant, I saw him again in Southend, another fantastic night , He's incredible and Wide eyed and legless, wow , they don't get any better than that.
Saw Andy, along with Robert Cray, a number of years ago on Glasgow. Andy’s chat between songs was so entertaining that we thought he would have a brilliant book in him! These videos are an excellent substitute!
Saw Andy and his band six or seven years ago. It was quite an intimate gig and all seated so perfect view. I was shocked at how heavily Andy hit his electric guitar, to get the sound he was looking for. He’s a very distinctive guitar player with a cracking voice.
I met him back in the early 90s he was playing tennis in downtown Plymouth!! Wish i had tried to have a conversation with him but he was really into the competition and i didnt want to interrupt 🤔
I went to see Roger Walters with my son not long after his split with Floyd at Wembley Arena on the way there my son spoke about who’d be playing the guitar solos what a surprise when Andy came on my wife was a fan from his pop days but this was rock and I must say he was magnificent brilliant the solos were spot on to David a little sad but overall wonderful memories
Great guitarist always liked his playing when he was backing those bands. One thing that always interested me was he said that Hank Marvin could get such a great sound out of a Strat and he would have liked to have played with The Shadows I always wondered how true that was. I have always thought that Hank Marvin has a great touch with his fingers and when playing he gets more out of a guitar than most people I have heard even though a lot of players play more notes. I have heard some well know players try to play like him but they just don't cut it.
My dream was to be able to play lead guitar but when I was 17 , my first deer hunting trip had different plans as I found myself trying to get out of the mountains I was hunting in with my right arm actually dangling back and forth after being hit with a 12 gauge deer slug right through my right elbow and that pretty much ended my playing for a couple of years. Now to look at it when it happened anyone would have said and thought that they would never ever be a way to play a guitar again, but I decided it was my turn to say absolutely not giving up and with 5 reconstructive surgery's I finally got able to hold a pick and I can play rhythm guitar now and actually surprised myself with just being able to play most of the stuff I like. Now real fast songs I can't do and that's actually how I started playing music and I was playing Bluegrass with my uncle and he was so good on a guitar that I'd actually compare him to Chet Atkins a lot because he could fingerpick so good. But Everytime I'd say that he'd look at me and say naaaa just wait and you'll find out how much better Chet Atkins really is and he was right but he was about flawless when it came to playing songs like that other than me and him maybe drinking to many Cold beverages or nipping a little to much Turkey or Clear Creek Water that tasted a lot like Moonshine 😅 well that's what it really was and I was very young to . He'd take me to clubs with him and I never had any problems other than having to hide my beer under the table a few times after The Police would just randomly swing by . Anyways enough about my life's history and I love to listen to Andy , especially spider jiving with him and Eric together.
Criminally underrated. The complete Pro.
Without people like AFL the "Greats" wouldn't be so great and that applies to all walks of life . Long may he continue 🙏🎸
What a great guy and guitarist. Frank and honest. I saw his band supporting Eric. His rapport with the audience was great and his band and music even better. Thanks Andy.
Brilliant. He is one of my favourite artists, a brilliant singer, and a very underrated guitarist.
So honest & unassuming
Lovely guy and great musician.

what a legend . Great voice excellent player . I saw Clapton in concert a few times and and always thought Andy was Erics best Sideman by far .
Same here, saw them at the Omni ìn Atlanta in the late 80s,then early 90s.
He is such a phenomenal guitar player in his own right.
Andy Fairweather Low, Gin house blues, crossroads guitar festival. Doesn't get better than that. Legend.
Andy with the Low Riders, if you get a chance don't miss 'em. A great band live.
Andy, Thank you for your music and inspiration
So good to see Andy still doing what he does best, performing and playing the guitar.
Well recall him with Amen Corner and he has still got the brilliant playing and voice we all loved.
Well done on this and thoroughly enjoyed!

Saw Andy playing with Clapton. He made that show, amazing guitar playing Andy.❤
What a talented and dedicated man ,he's made a fantastic career for himself ,but he's so humble about it
Andy is a national treasure. Lovely guy. :)

Excellent doc about a class guitar player....sound man too by all intents....
Great guy, saw him a couple of times. Gentleman
He's some man and a great player. It's funny watching obscure youtube videos, from lots of eras, and the man is there playing. Long may it continue
Great guy and fantastic guitar player
I wish the TV bosses would make this, and its likes a mini series, so interesting, many thanks
You’ve done well - that’s what comes of being level headed and knowing that home is where your heart is 👍🏻❤️
👍👍 Youve done a great job mate...and it has been appreciated by all your fans.
Always enjoy his gigs.
A wonderful and knowledgeable guitar player, and a very nice guy …..keep on keeping on Andy.
I was a big fan of his solo carreer...then I finally got to meet him suppoting Dennis Loccoriere...such a lovely unassuming guy....and great guitarist/vocalist👏👏👏
I remember when Reggae Tune came out in 1974. It was one of my favourite songs back then when I was 13 and I still love it now. Cheers, Andy!

I'm a Biggar laddie, born and bred. Don't live there now so missed that festival unfortunately.
To play with so many you had to be good Andy! don't knock it you were brilliant! and you really can play the guitar! keep it up.
I learned more from this man than any other guitarist I ever worked with.
We shared a bottle of red together at an award ceremony back stage a few years back. Just chatting guitars and life. Never forget it. Lovely man and speaks the right road as a musician. Lovely bloke. Distinctive voice. And the most Mod mod.
Top musician … and a master of the gaff tape .. that taped up Martin! .., great!
The first gig I ever went to was Amen Corner at Alton Towers in 1969, and he's still doing it 55 years later.
Good man, nearly married as long as me, i always say the best medicine is music. Wide eyed and legless, thats us music moguls, proper singers and song writers like you, God bless to you and family. x

Quite humble..... The sign of a good down to earth man.
Every gig I ever had I figured I would give my very best. No regrets at all. Returning home is the best part of every day or night.
Andy: my you God of choice bless you forever, mate🥰 I still have all the Amen Corner singles (even the obscure ones) and all your albums, including Mega Shebang: all sooooooperb😘 You just always brassed me off for never coming over my way to play live 😭
The wife and I have seen Andy many times over the years, he is a top entertainer, and a lovely man. ( Off to see him again in Abergavenny March 2025)
Just , One Great Bloke. ☘️

Glad you enjoyed it
Robert Cray. Haven't heard his name in a long time.
Saw Andy and his band six or seven years ago. It was quite an intimate gig and all seated so perfect view. I was shocked at how heavily Andy hit his electric guitar, to get the sound he was looking for. He’s a very distinctive guitar player with a cracking voice.
Saw him in Dublin with Dave Edmonds years ago. Legend.
