- So we finally got the opportunity to drive the all-new Tata Punch EV which is the brand's first ever all-electric car. Though it shares its name and design language its ICE counterpart, it doesn't share its platform with the former. It's built on a born-EV architecture called activ.ev which will also be used for next-gen Nexon EV, Altroz EV, Curvv EV, Harrier EV, etc. In this review, we tell you all the big positives and negatives of the Punch.ev along with its realistic range.

Yes punch me Space kam lagri he pehle se NOT Just In Punch But also in Nexon Facelift(ice) I own Nexon 2022(petrol) few days back I visit Service center for 5th servicing I saw Nexon facelift ask the owner to see the car interior and the Time I set in Rear seat it's completely evident that the Facelift Model have lesser legroom and kneeroom by almost 2 inches.
I like your videos. But I have never seen you appreciate Tata for its SAFTY and never seen you criticize Hyundai Kia for their lack of Build quality. It's almost monotonous now. It's a given.

12:35 I think the space in rear seat is less because of the ventilated seats now introduced in front seats. It might have increased the thickness of of front seats.

i dont care about 360 degree camera ( a rear parking camera is a must )
dont care about ventilated seats ( but would like if i can adjust the height of the seats)

Took a test drive and I find your review spot on. Especially ride quality. Much easier to drive than any car I have driven.
12:30 I think that the front seats have been changed. The design of the seats are a lot like the prefacelifted Harrier (I might be wrong)

Its good to be a critic bcos critics share real feedbacks. Also I would suggest everyone to support indian manufacturers. Indian companies like tata, mahindra, bajaj took just 23 years to reach to this level where they tookover foreign firms.
Before 1990 India was reeling under licence raaj where govt used to issue notices and penalty for companies of they exceed manufacturing capacity to meet demand and also need to take licence if they have to make changes in design, technology etc. due to this Indian firms were forced to be incompetent. License raaj was worst phase for india with rampant corruption.
It won't take much time for our Indian firms to reach top 10 in global ranking.
Im a proud owner of Tata cars. I know they have minor problems which is not at all an issue for me and they are improving day by day.
They can grow only if we make them grow. They are our companies. They stood by nation in hard times like covid.
Should someone who's tight on budget go for an ev, wouldn't it need a battery replacement after a few years that will cost around 40% of car's worth?

Punch ev or Sonet diesel AT?
Canyou review its android auto connectivity. I have an altroz cng with wired android auto connectivity. It gets frequently disconnected during journey. I saw the same unit in punch ev. I guess it should also be getting same issue.
We didn’t face such an issue here.

The cheapest EV (Tiago) will remain the most vfm until the range increases substantially, because it is only feasible for intracity driving.
Hazard lamps Aap gari rokhne k bad hi jalauge nah, toh touch base hone Mai koi issue nhi hai. Fog lamp ko touch nhi dena tha.

I'll buy an EV only when I get the following things under 30 lakhs.
1. 500+ kms range in sports mode (matlab no matter how speed or slow I drive, minimum range should be more than 500kms).
2. 0-80% charging time in less than 45 mins.
3. An SUV with atleast AWD.

For regular office goers, driving thru traffic, PUNCH EV is the best.. It has long range, and ventilated seats. Features like sunroof are useless ; Tata has made it optional on Punch.
One need not worry about the range because the Battery Technology is fast improving, when replacement come, owner can upgrade to much better Sodium-Ion battery.
Is the ignition ON while you were trying to change it from park to drive, with me it happens only when I have not turned the ignition.
it happens in when it's says ready in mu nexon ev max, I don't know how tata not yet fixed this silly problem, all at an expense calling it a jewel knob

I always worry about the warranty coverage conditions.
For example: Tata Punch comes with 8 years warranty, what does it cover exactly? What if the range falls down to 50% of what is given now in next 4 years?
Will they replace battery for free or leave us to let scold Tata for the rest of the life. 😢

Tata does great only on safety aspects. Rest all just messed up. The small niggles mentioned by you which you said might be fixed will never get fixed. That's Tata's after sales attitude 😮

Range as per youtubers is around 250km with AC on instead of claimed 421km, not good enough for long drives.

Extremely disappointed that the charging performance is horrendous. They say its a new platform, but couldn't engineer in proper fast charging capability. Very poor

I think Yogi Bhai... Many a times you are biased against Tata. I'm a proud owner of TATA since 3 years. And FYI this is my 3rd car including one Hyundai and one maruti in my family. I can sure say the work which Tata is doing is far more ... I mean far more better than other manufacturers. So please take this as my honest feedback.
If TATA sends this car as a gift to Greta Thunberg, TATA will be #1 in Europe EV sales instantly. Because Europeans want to save the environment, not save money on fuel, or complain about quality. Because their icebergs are melting.

I will buy or not .. Bur .. This is tiny Family EV car .. So .. expect that mostly use of Rear Seat for Kids .. So .. I think no need to complain for Rear Seat .
