- We finally got behind the wheel of Tara Tiago EV, India’s most affordable electric vehicle right now. The objective of this video was to test its realistic range with AC on all the time. While the ARAI certified range is 315Kms, we started with an expectation of it clocking at least 200KMs. But did it live up to our expectations, we tell you in this video.

Why it's there a dial not lever for gear?
Tata's have almost done it. Got rid of high NVH wala 1.2 Revetron engine with EV motor for 170-200 kms. Range. Which is really good. But I would prefer a Hybrid Technology because there is no need for extra charger. Plus range would never be a problem because it does have an option of Petrol as well. So best of both World EV & ICE alongwith good efficiency at an Affordable Pricing. Though expensive than CNG but no charging ka janjat or range limitations.
Tata's should also offer Punch EV that would definitely boost it's sales nos. for sure. Since it lacks 1.2 World class refined engine it produces high NVH levels.
EV will replace that NVH defect & offer Silent Motor & deliver better Torque or Power delivery.
Hybrid bekar hai. It's not like cng plus petrol thing. Ye hota to better hota city city mein electric use karte or jab ghumna hota to petrol kar lete jab charge khatam ho jata
Hybrid mein bas kuch samay k liye petrol se mukti milti which is 5 percent oy kyunki charge poora kabhi hota hi nhi hai. 5 percent hone p battery p chalta hai fir 5 percent khatam hote hi petrol p shift ho jata hai. To mostly petrol p hi chalta hai
Or infrastructure develop hone mein 10 saal se jyada nhi lagega because 2030 tak lakshya hai ev infrastructure setup karne ka govt ka.
@@rap9703 According to me Chances are Indian for City might buy Small EV Car 5-6 lacs with 120-150 kms Range. Even after 5 years assuming battery would perform 50% which is about 60-70 kms, good enough for any City to & fro commuting. For 5 member family a medium size ICE Petrol Car with all Driving Comfort & Feel good features around 10-12 lacs.

Range is the only reason why EVs are not so popular... Other wise EVs are good choice
Anyways..kms range n effeciency is almost.. at par satisfactory ..but only major issue behind it..the easy availability of fast charging station..bcz that is something which becomes crucial especially in long trip journeys..!!
With almost all the EVs, Range Anxiety seems to be the main problem.
Power too but ha range is little more troublesome... Good battery technology is developing.

@@Reddylion i think power is overshadowed by the vast amounts of torque which makes acceleration pretty good cause I think we don’t drive more than 120 kmph and upto that nothing beats ev’s. I think the main problem is the feel and charging network and charging times which just cannot be manageable in a country with a very high density like ours

@icnstudio your reviews are most trusted...need a video from your side to suggest best 1 car and models for each price bracket may be for each 1 lakhs difference.. including all petrol, disel, cng,ev one best car for each price bracket between in price bracket between 5 to 15 lakhs.. it wi help all new buyers now
That's good, though If they release a proper hybrid variant of these cars then problem/anxiety of range will be eliminated too. Thereby effectively capturing market in price segment.

EV's are basically meant to be your second car for everyday short distance transit. They are not meant for long distances and also where one has time constraints while travelling. I can never own an EV as it will never suit my requirements.

Should we buy EV car if we live in hilly regions. Is it sensible... As the range will drop dramatically. Also will it be able to do uphill drive
Torque is higher than combustion engines so no problem in hill climb with full load, you should consider ev if daily run is less than 100 km , for long drives you will have to plan ahead with long charging breaks.
Doesn't make sense for hilly areas.
It works in hilly area .but Franky it isn't advisable for Tiago or tigor models as the charging stations are less and it takes higher energy cut than normal terrians .
But Nexon max would be better which atleast can offer 200 range there .( Yes only half ) actual range
Good car for city rides. Petrol cars also have limited range of 350-400 kilometres on full tanks. It is also not unlimited
but it can be refill with couple of minute

10:50 I have also faced this issue once, the car refuses to change gear. Have to restart to activate the gear again.

God bless with range anxiety. I don't why everyone is pushing for evs. Production of evs battery makes more polutiton than pretrol vehicle. Read some research magazines. Soon we will be fighting again to control evs battery production pollution which is very worsts compared to petrol pollution
Evertime .. pollution is not only factor... availability of natural resources also matters...
Basically motto to introduce Evs in automobile segments is to reduce the dependency of crude oil and infact petrol , diesel ..which infact a major challenge for country..!!

Tata tried their best to give ev in affordable price but unfortunately failed very badly... claiming 315km and giving 160 in real is very bad thing...maybe they will do great in future with range...but currently its totally a failure...
Common people prefer petrol car...as simple n no head ache no anxiety cars.....Bcoz...EV mein already 40% amt badhi hui lete hai.... Pls check cost benefit analysis in excel.....Check Asset Yogi channel video.... Which clarify petrol car or Ev car
This range is definitely not acceptable. Indians buy cars to enjoy long trips with their family and loved ones. With this kind of a mileage and charging time, the whole fun of trips is gonna be a range anxiety nightmare
this is a city car , completely worth it. also he drove it on high way city range will be much higher
@@abhijeetnaib I agree with you that this is a city car. But every car owner definitely take it on the highway too. It's definitely gonna create a lot of range anxiety coz when families travel the load of people plus their luggage will only add more misery
@@anandiyer8655 how many kilometres a normal family drives in a day in city ? in think 20 , sometimes 50 so one charge can last 3 and a half days

And launch punch ev as soon as possible.

D ka matlab sport mode nahi hota sir ji, drive mode hota hai jo ki iska default mode hai. S ka matlab sport mode hota hai.

Agr daily average 70-80 h toh le lo. Koi bhi car loge toh 7-8 toh jayega is segment k. Yeh 10-11 m mil jayegi. Baki petro s 10k bacha loge monthly atleast. 150000 km ki warranty h 5 sal chla 100000 k bech do. 2-3 lakh m. 5 sal m 6 lakh petrol k bacha baki man lo 2.5 ki bik gyu toh sal k sirf 50000 kharcha huwa tumhara yani 130 rupees month 🙏.
