@@heroofhyrule9778 Yeah sometimes it's really bad if you have the camera locked on on the feet of really big enemies. Especially if you're trying to fight them up close. But it's funny to see DSP flat out get super upset when he's in full control of the camera.
DSP's perfect 'FromSoftware' game: A giant dragon appears, it says "I'm coming to get you Pro Fighting Champion Phil Burnell... in 5....4....3...2...1... I'm attacking start dodging now". Then Phil attacks him once and wins the game.
His inability to try any other strategies other then different ways to spam jump attacks this late into the game is staggering. The game is such a troll, dood! *snort*
The thing is, if you're gunning for the head, the attacks are very easy to read. Dragon enemies take additional damage there and the easier read shows that that is what is intended by the developers, ever since at least Midir in DS3 if not since kalameet
Actually not really, if the camera will zoom out Phil will cry that he cannot see his character because it's as tiny as an ant. Most players will also do that
Ah yeah sure he enjoyed the fight with champion Gundyr and it was "more fair". I don't even have to go back to footage of that to remember he whined and complained and made excuses all the way through. "Couldn't block, couldn't roll, move didn't come out, input delay, can't do anything, full screen moves, piece of shit game!" It. NEVER. Changes.
That dragon is only getting these kills on Phil because it's a scrub using lag tactics. If this dragon was to fight Phil offline Phil would wipe the floor with him like the scrub it is. Phil is one of the best video game players in the world and a former pro fighting game player who came in 4th on a tournament that one time but the 3 top were Japanese players so by default Phil was #1 in America. He can play any game at a professional level if he wants but this game is just for fun so it's not worth it. Also let's not ignore the fact that the devs purposely sent Phil a bugged version of the game. Constantly dropping his inputs and riddled with glitches.
I think the camera during these huge enemy fights is fine, your character is tiny, you're seeing more than they would be able to even see themselves, part of the fun of souls is overcoming huge odds and beating huge bosses that don't even fit on the screen feels really good
I strongly disagree. My suspension of disbelief is willing to go far enough to say “I can somehow see the whole enemy up close” if it improves the gameplay experience. Phil is still trash, but not being able to see what’s going on is at the very least a valid complaint in this game.
This would be fine if it was just a few bosses....but most bosses are giant camera eating monsters lol. In this boss your staring at its toes, while 90% of the action is happening above . FromSoft definitely focused more on “spectacle” vs fair fights.
@@itsjustchelsea838 Sounds like both of you commenters just suck at "hard bosses" you realize you don't have to camp at the dragons legs the whole fight? The thing is, this is a game where just saying "This game is hard and I'm not that good at it" would be perfectly understandable. Elden Ring is a hard game, he'd be a lot happier if he was honest about that. He spends a lot more effort on creating excuses than he does playing the game.
He just tries to tank everything. Late game bosses will punish him, and Malenia will produce dangerous levels of salt, he’ll 100% summon for that fight 🧂
Summoning is a part of the mechanics… I have summoned mimic tear on bosses I used wolfs on mergit… so what’s your point? I beat elden beast summoning my mimic tear too
Yeah cause every enemy does ridiculous damage, even with 50 Vitality and being overlevelled like I was. Bosses take 2-3 hits to kill a level 150 character with "vast physical damage reduction" from the charm and heavy as fuck armour on (the Scaled Set in my case) which does.. nothing against non-physical attacks despite it's description.

The fact that he’s complaining about the camera not being zoomed out, but yet he doesn’t lock onto him so the camera does zoom out is sad. He’s even complaining about missing the boss, pls just lock on :)
This fight alone shows that he needs to wear his glasses as his depth perception is a joke. He constantly just attacks the boss in 2:16 afterwards even though the boss is clearly too far away to be hit!
I only listen to Elden Ring videos from Wingo and DSP, I'm working my way from the first to the 3rd, almost done with Sens Fortress. Gotta say, its where the difficulty really seems to spike. It makes me wish it was just Blight Town again - and I hate Blight Town. Thin little bridges, flying guillotines, crap shot at you to knock you off bridges, pits, spikes, nasty stuff.
so we all know Phil is legally blind, right? so why does he take off his stupid 50 dollar glasses when he's wearing his stupid hat? what's preventing him from putting on both?
I like how Pigroach is now above 500 deaths and it hasn’t dawned on him yet to bait out specific attacks from bosses by getting out from under them then running in and getting a few good hits in. Basic From Software strat.
well you see, Phil doesn't think you can press the face buttons while controlling the camera, so even if he is using the target lock the way he's using his controller is not optimal lol
Personally I don’t use them for dragons or big enemies. This guy just sucks and doesn’t know how to use positioning to his advantage not to mention the stupid jump heavies for every single stupid attack
I beat this boss again on ng+ yesterday. It’s a genuinely tough fight akin to a bullet-hell shooter but “it’s an easy fight, it’s just the camera and vfx’s fault”. Got him down in about 6-7 tries, ftr
I don't know what I did wrong. I mean, I figured out the marking appeared when you were under the dragon. Combine that with the insane damage you are doing to the head and I was assuming you should aim for the head. Which works fine in the first half of the fight, but in the second, he always attacked in a way that it was hard to reach the head. In the end, I just sniped him with the Moonlight Greatsword. I will maybe try that one out in NG+ again to see if there was a better strategy.

@@heroofhyrule9778 Yeah sometimes it's really bad if you have the camera locked on on the feet of really big enemies. Especially if you're trying to fight them up close.
But it's funny to see DSP flat out get super upset when he's in full control of the camera.
I also love the excuse: "He won't let me heal dood", as he chugs the flask right in front of the enemy.
DSP's perfect 'FromSoftware' game:
A giant dragon appears, it says "I'm coming to get you Pro Fighting Champion Phil Burnell... in 5....4....3...2...1... I'm attacking start dodging now".
Then Phil attacks him once and wins the game.
Yeah the boss is easy once you learn it’s moveset dood, s n o r t
Nah, his perfect game would be cut scenes with button sequences, but even if you fail to press them in time the scene still continues
His inability to try any other strategies other then different ways to spam jump attacks this late into the game is staggering. The game is such a troll, dood! *snort*
Just like nioh 1 mid stance Phil all over again
@@tater4462 ah, I wasn't following the ballad of DSP back then, but it makes sense. The stance dancing in that game was a ton of fun
that is one cool dragon!
"the camera is trash, it should zoom out more if you fight against big bosses"
heartbreaking, the worst person you know made a good point.
"Couldn't block, couldn't roll, move didn't come out, input delay, can't do anything, full screen moves, piece of shit game!"
It. NEVER. Changes.
He’s really losing his eyesight and he’s so salty cause it could never be him so it has to be the games fault
dsp: runs into fire breathing dragon breathing fire
dsp: is confused when dies
Agreed. The dragon wasn’t playing like an honorable competitor. Instead, it used lag tactics and spammed attacks. What a n00b.
@@platty9237 I know. GAME DOES WHAT IT WANTS!!
🤣🤣🤣
The fact that he just tanks the stickybomb lightning everytime lmfao
You know you can like hit him a few times, back up learn the dragons moveset, watch what he's doing from a decent distance, and then go in when he's using an attack that slows him down a lot afterwards. Your complaints are just as comical as DSP's lol.
@@jleif7736 I'm having flashbacks to the Midir complaints. People running under him and complaining about not being able to see anything when they could have just stayed in front of him and seen everything perfectly. Especially when they'd go under him but still lock onto his head.
@@PunkZombie1300 lmfao some people are just so petty they complain just to complain.
everytime he says a game isn't "fair", as if it's a living breathing entity that hates him specifically, i feel kinda sick to my stomach
"his dive attack is broadcast so easily" I agree, why do you keep letting it hit you?
😂
We're still running with this "hitbox" meme, Dave?
Dood it’s so painful seeing him not notice the thunder building up and dodge that. How does he not know after so many runs
Dude cannot notice he's not aiming at the enemy head while doing it in slow motion, what do you expect?
Stop spamming that jumping heavy attack and actually play like a melee build lol. I don't even see other ER youtubers using that attack much
It's funny he even said he knew when the lightnings about to hit him cause his body glows red but yet still constantly gets hit by it like he has no fucking idea
I just platinumed this game yesterday and it was the first souls game I have ever played. The fact that I'm better than Dave at this game is just insanely pathetic lmao. I didn't even know how to 2 hand a sword for about 30 hours.
grats man, that's an incredible accomplishment Phil will never have.
@@pukefiend Thanks, man! I appreciate it :3
He's not gonna finish this game but will get 1k deaths
He will eventually platinum it by dumb luck and brute force, handholding and guides.
He's getting too much money to just quit, as always with those "souls" games.
According to Phil the perfect boss would just stand there and do nothing while he stabs at its feet.
How is it that other streamers don't seem to have the same problems with killing the dragon as Dave has ?
Even Asmongold seems to not struggle as much as DSP is lol
Because they are using online lag patterns, duh
They don’t have dents in their head
The thing is, this is a game where just saying "This game is hard and I'm not that good at it" would be perfectly understandable. Elden Ring is a hard game, he'd be a lot happier if he was honest about that. He spends a lot more effort on creating excuses than he does playing the game.
He just tries to tank everything. Late game bosses will punish him, and Malenia will produce dangerous levels of salt, he’ll 100% summon for that fight 🧂
He’ll do what he did with Radahn, wait for a nerf
Summoning is a part of the mechanics… I have summoned mimic tear on bosses I used wolfs on mergit… so what’s your point? I beat elden beast summoning my mimic tear too

"again, if everything was as easy as I want it to be, it wouldn't be so hard!"
Remember boys she is 40 levels over this boss dragon and still died like crazy.
His damage feels a little low though. His damage doesn’t seem over levelled
@@abyssalwolf
That's actually true.. I was OVER level 200 in endgame and was still getting one-shotted by stuff.
Damage output is ridiculous, and seeing your health bar extend halfway across the screen just so you can stand a chance is straight up comical.
@@abyssalwolf this is the biggest issue with the game. enemies, random knights can 2 hit you. i have a health bar 10 light years long wearing the best armor in the game and i get 2 hit. nah, that's dumb.
@6:30 The kiddies in the chat finally told him how to know he's getting lightening build up. When he says chat doesn't help him I can't see how he does it with a straight face. Oh, never mind. He's a sociopath. I almost forgot.
If your meal is running through you in an hour you have a problem
bless you phil for being the best souls player there is, you guys just dont realise he cant play with his right control stick to control his camara. mad respect for this man for this challange run.
/s
He ignores every bit of advice given to him, he'll get no pity from no one.
chugging and jump attacks is his entire strategy huh...
In his defense it's hard to fight with a belly full of crimson tears
He takes one hit and immediately drinks a flask while only wanting to cheese the boss with the jump attack and ignoring any patterns, he’s so bad
I like that Phil makes me feel good about how I play this game.
I wonder if Phil knows how insecure and weak he sounds when he constantly excuses every single mistake he makes and just says the game sucks and the bosses are shitty.
We are halfway there to 1000 deaths.
You can’t spell “coprophilia” without “Phil”!
he needs to go back and forth on both the X and Y axis
The fact that he’s complaining about the camera not being zoomed out, but yet he doesn’t lock onto him so the camera does zoom out is sad. He’s even complaining about missing the boss, pls just lock on :)
Bring back the old dance steps in the intro during the views segment 😭😭😭
"Oh I know what to do, jumping R2". LOL. So just keep doing the same thing as you've been doing.
This fight alone shows that he needs to wear his glasses as his depth perception is a joke. He constantly just attacks the boss in 2:16 afterwards even though the boss is clearly too far away to be hit!
I love these games, I suck at them but I love that they were made to be challenging. Phil just does what Phil do best which is his worst 🤣
Hopefully this was a joke
Phil has invented his own language. He speaks only in hyperbole.
so we all know Phil is legally blind, right? so why does he take off his stupid 50 dollar glasses when he's wearing his stupid hat? what's preventing him from putting on both?
Both? Cmon, then he'd just look silly..
"I can't get my stamina back. Where is my stamina going?"
*Proceeds to do only jumping R2's for the entirety of the fight*
he must have the most efficient bowl movements ever if he digests and passes his morning food in less than 6 hrs.
His philosophy seems to be, "If the enemy is big enough, it is impossible to whiff even if I am miles away because big enemy"
I like how Pigroach is now above 500 deaths and it hasn’t dawned on him yet to bait out specific attacks from bosses by getting out from under them then running in and getting a few good hits in. Basic From Software strat.
As much as he bitches about this game I guarantee in the end he says "overall I really liked it".
“Where is my stamina going?”
*roll, roll, roll, jump attack, roll, sprint, jump attack, etc.*
Can’t wait to watch Snort’s video to see what the death count is actually at.
500 deaths is an insane amount especially for someone that played the other games that’s wild man.
Great audio mixing on your streams Philly boy.
14:28 That whiff was epic! 🤣
Is he intentionally not using target lock? I feel like a lot of his complaints about the camera and hit boxes could be solved by using target lock
well you see, Phil doesn't think you can press the face buttons while controlling the camera, so even if he is using the target lock the way he's using his controller is not optimal lol
Personally I don’t use them for dragons or big enemies. This guy just sucks and doesn’t know how to use positioning to his advantage not to mention the stupid jump heavies for every single stupid attack
when he started alternating feet spamming jumping R2 i started giggling. when he said that the strat was working 5 seconds later i absolutely lost it
How can you zoom out if you zoom in by locking onto an enemy 🤔
"There's too many effects on the screen."
It's only funny when it's Arby n The Chief says it.
Phil’s finally using the Flask of Wondrous Physick? After half the game?
He’s not even close to hitting the dragon when he complains about hitting his target.
When will he realize that the camera is in his control as well?
He has used guides for every part of this game. What a sad old man
Ngl I preferred the original intro dance better than this new version.
As long as it has "I need banana..."
Where is this boss? I just got to the snow part.
