The pot is elegant. I would put a tall plant in it and a small creeping plant to the front, so the small creeper would hang over the pot. The guacamole looks perfect. I like a little hot pepper 🌶 in mine. The avocados are perfect. It’s so nice that you grow your own food. The avocados I buy in the store get all squished up because people are squeezing them to see if they are ripe. So I try to buy the ones that aren’t ripe but I still end up getting spoiled ones.
You just reminded me of my days in the city when getting a perfect avocado was luck. A tall plant and a creeper will definitely look lovely on this pot. Thank you
A snake plant or any tall plant will look better in that cement vase. Lovely video as usual and I love your tripod cinematography. The angles you take your videos and point of views . It is worthy of note!
Love your flower pot. Flowers such as bird of paradise and/or flowers which have long stems would look good. If you plan on leaving you flower pot where you put it, I think an off white would look better as the white would blend in with the house. Avocado ideas: 1) As a side dish 2) Guacomole 3) Sushi (vegetarian) rolls 4) On sandwiches verses salad dressing
Maybe the government charges the market vendors an exorbitant amount of money to "rent" a stall. These vendors, mama mboga's, etc earn a small margin of profit on those foodstuffs which they have to sell at an affordable price to ensure quick sales so that they are not left with perishables on their hands to go bad. I do not know for certain about your country, Jael, but in some other (mainly developing countries) I have seen the government constructing those markets with stalls but the prices and conditions are prohibitive for the producers and vendors. Just my thought. Pot: Yes, paint. White? Maybe not because it would "disappear" in with the wall paint especially if you plan to leave it in that corner. Also, I think pots look better in a color close to the earth or something like that. Natural colors. Very interesting tip on how to buy fresh fish. (one was still alive!😲😲-- it was moving!). Dinner looks great. I LOVE avocado. Yours look so much better than what they have in the grocery markets in Europe. I wish you could export them especially when they are in season. You would earn some good money for those! Bon appetit. Great Video as always.👍✌ ps: If I send you a letter, c/o P.O. Box 8, ________? 😉You showed us!
Yes,that's my address. Just add a postal code 40223. Kenya exports a lot of avocados to different countries. I guess yours is one of them. The market stalls are free of charge here in the village
The planter turned out beautiful 😍 even on its natural color, but when you spray paint it White, it Will be even more beautiful. Enyewe the avocados have gone to group of school 😁😁soo yam 😋
The pot is beautiful, its unique and I love it, awesome. Thank you for explaining the flies on the fish, I did not know. Your recipe is simple and easy and your dinner was a blessing. Lovely video as usual. Thanks for sharing.
You can also make a pudding by blending them mixed with yellow bananas. When over ripe, mash them and sieve them using a soft netted cloth to extract oil which you can use as hair oil or hand lotion
Love the pot idea it looks beautiful. A tall plant like snake plant will go well in there. I envy you and your avocados. They are very expensive here in NZ right now around $3
Coriander added to guacamole gives it a nice boost. My 4yr old daughter's favorite meal right now is Avocado and ugali. She says avocado is not the same without ugali😂
First to be here and karibu sana my wonderful sister. Your cooking is always at the next level. I'm waiting for my own share to eat. You did a job with the flower pots.
Jael, your avocados are always beautiful! We don’t get that size in our area much anymore. We have the Haas variety which is the small ones. I can eat one of those at a meal. I love avocados and enjoy them with just lemon juice, little mayo and black pepper. Your flower pot is beautiful! So is the Caladiums you planted in it. I have Caladiums growing in a pot on my front porch Every year in May they come up, so II know the bulbs have kept well during the winter. I am always amazed of how some things in Kenya are very similar to things here in Florida. Be blessed💜🥰🌺🌹🙋🏾♀️
Hey Jael. The planter looks really nice, and I love the natural color. The avocados look yummy and wholesome. The Guac looks scrumptious, and I would enjoy that with fried plantain 😋😋😋
I don't know how to make tortilla chips but they go well with guacamole for a snack. If you save your "malondo" (don't know the Luo or Kiswahili name), you can try it with the guacamole. They are the "crisps" you get after cooking ugali and similar to tortilla chips, or tortilla crisps as Kenyans would say.
Wow. That pot is beautiful. Can you make me one at a fee? I will come and get it myself. You are just amazing. By the way, I think the color is just perfect; but I guess you can paint it white if that’s what you prefer. It’s really beautiful ❤❤❤❤ The guacamole looks delicious. Those avocados look good too. Next time try and add cilantro (Dania) to the guacamole and a little salt. Soooo yummy. Kudos and thanks for sharing these moments with us.
Good job on your craft 🎉. Are you coming to Nairobi soon, come with avocados 😋. Can you look into making avocado oil? Maybe a way of utilizing them as I know they don’t keep for long.
Next time you want to make the pot, use a towel. It will soak up more cement and therefore be stronger. I saw a similar video to what you may have seen on RUclips but they used a towel. I guess theirs was a pot to be placed on the ground rather than a vase. Is that vase non-porous? I was wondering if it will mess up your stool.
Joel, there's a reason for selling outside. They attract more customers. It's not a waste of infrastructure. Those who want to sell from indoors can freedom of choice, don't you think?
I love farming so much though on small scale. The other day was about to buy a small piece of land and it slipped through my fingers. I still haven't recovered from that. I was hoping to join you for motivation in having my own small shamva but weeh it's gone. I will keep watching you. I wish could share some pictures of my plants. One day Jael. One day. Utaniona siaya 😂😂 just to spend even half hour with this cool girl who has encouraged me to love country life.
Yes it happens even here in MW government can build a market but sellers will not enter it. Sometimes it's bcz😊 of market size being small or site is away from where people are used to buy. But we are in morning our vise president and nine others who have lost their lives in plain crush😢😢

That cat fish was so fresh that it moved. Thanks for another great vdo
Oh yes, they always get to the market alive
Hi Jael; I think snake plant will look nicer in the plant pot
Oh yes, another awesome idea
Thank you Jael for sharing the finished flower vase with us. You did a great job 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks darling. Next time it'll be perfect

Wow! Great tip. I've always wondered how people make avocado oil at home. Thank you
Plz jeal make a vlog and show us around the village life ceremonies and more importantly market days ...
I thought of sharing a funeral ceremony and remembered it would be gross for others.
I only eat my avocado ripe .I just eat it in my salad. Really good for you. One avocado can cost up to four pound depend on the size on the scale.
Oh wow! That's insane. They grow wild here.
Wonderful and thanks sharing with us❤❤
My pleasure 😊
The post office was a real TBT 😅
😂😂
😅😅😅
I really like this meal! One of my favorites.
So good
OMG,everything looks amazing.You're organized,clean person

Your vase turned out beautiful! I hope it proves durable over time. Blessings from The Bahamas.
I hope so too! Thank you so much

I think it's because of the almost similar climate conditions.
When you paint the pit, add some dried flowers on the outside and use clear mogpod to seal the flowers to the pot.
Oh,that's a really great idea
That flower is beautiful, good work ma siz,the fish looks fresh n big wakamoli vs food so yummy just liking ma lips😅😅😅
Thank you so much 😁
Wow, it looks delicious, I’ll try this recipe 😋🥰
So 😋
BLESSING TO YOU SIS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ❤🙏📖🇹🇹

The Pot awesome 🎉❤
I'm glad you like it
Hey Jael. The planter looks really nice, and I love the natural color. The avocados look yummy and wholesome. The Guac looks scrumptious, and I would enjoy that with fried plantain 😋😋😋
Thanks so much. Plantains are rare here but I really love them. Now am craving fried Plantains
@jaelochanji Are you able to grow plantains there on your farm? Anyway, try fried plantain with guac and fried fish and thank me later 😋
Here where I am we got open market. It's way cheaper too.i be going there in the morning too
These are special days. If you live in the countryside, you know what I mean. Happy shopping

Good job on your craft 🎉. Are you coming to Nairobi soon, come with avocados 😋. Can you look into making avocado oil? Maybe a way of utilizing them as I know they don’t keep for long.
I need to research how to do it. I've always wanted to make avocado oil.
I'm so jealous of those huge delicious looking avocados 😅. I always add cilantro to my guacamole.
Yes,I do too. Just didn't have some in my garden today
Put a tall plant in it . I've seen it done before I might give it a try ❤️
Good idea!!

It is not porous. The fabric I used was heavy cotton, almost like a towel
I love guacamole...I add coriander, garlic and cumin to my recipe...your dinner looks 😋...tfs...
Yes,coriander adds a beautiful aroma to the guacamole
❤❤❤
I blend avocado in coconut water, with banana and mango. I also add ginger. I use it in other smoothies as well.
Awesome. Thanks for this. Something new to try
You can also make avocado oil if there is a lot.
I need to find out how. I'd love to
Aren't they supposed to pay a fee for the market stall? It could be that they can't or don't want to deal with that monthly payment.
No, they're actually free in the rural areas.
@jaelochanji Thanks for responding. Old habits die hard🤣, the open fresh air must be alluring to the sellers.
Joel, there's a reason for selling outside. They attract more customers. It's not a waste of infrastructure. Those who want to sell from indoors can freedom of choice, don't you think?
😅😅 what if they all moved into the stalls? Won't customers be forced to buy from there?
That plant pot is just owesome. I will try to make one. I think ornamental dwarf bamboo will look amazing in that classic pot🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the idea. I will get it

So 😋
The problem with the government is lack of public participation, those market were built and traders were not involved
Most probably.
Life in the Village 🙏🏼☺️
I use the avocado in my smoothies. Add so much body and it becomes nice and thick.
Amazing
On my way😂
