For future reference, it's easier to take the tape off before the paint dries because then you won't risk any of the paint that dried to the tape, pulling the paint on the shoe :)

I just hydro dipped my pair of vans and i was wondering if the max shield keeps paint from cracking when wearing them. does anyone know what would be the best coat to prevent cracking/creasing?
Maxsheild helps protect them but I’m not sure what solution is best for creasing. Maybe be careful with how you use them, like don’t exercise wearing them? 🤷🏻♂️
funny how different stores differ between other countries, like he said gets paints from lowe’s. lowes in australia is a clothing store. our best budget seller for paints would be bunnings which is like a home depot.

And if you use any additional ingredients Do you use any additional fixative or do you just use water and nothing else? Do you use some fixative or just water?

After putting the shield coating, can you machine or hand wash them without worrying about the paint? Also is there a reason why you’re dipping them upside down? I get physics and whatnot but is there a reasons why face down works better than face up or is face down the best way to get paint in the areas you want.

I’ve seen most people tape the soles too. My question is what about the inside? I’ve seen people tape over the lip to the inside but I can’t tell if they go all the way inside and tape as much as they can. Have you seen any effect like this? Have you ever taped the inside? Or part of the inside? As I’m typing this I’ve discovered another question. Is hydoripping anything the same process. Like if it was plastic or metal etc. just tape prime dip protect?

I wouldn’t wash them after you dip them and idk, i do it upside down bc it’s my preference !
