    The angler made a rookie mistake by keeping the rod bent didn’t allow the head to go into bottom of net. He kept the rod bent not allowing the net to be lifted into the boat.

    • @ladyl5909
      @ladyl5909 Год назад +1

      I'm glad you had caught that as well. I was thinking the guy holding the rod only made the guy with the nets' job exponentially more difficult than it should have been.

  • @ladyl5909
    @ladyl5909 Год назад +1

    Does anyone else feel like the angler made the landers job incredibly more difficult? I've only fished blue gill creeks and streams, nothing big like this, but couldn't he have had better control with his rod to help it netted and landed?!? Mybe I'm wrong?

  • @nicklausb
    @nicklausb Год назад +1

    amateurs have a handful of tendencies: 1.reeling lures, weights, etc all the way against the tip of the rod 2.reeling up too much line so that you have to handle/land fish with the rod bent over 3.holding the rod way back near the end of the butt 4.reeling while the drag is being pulled out so that they make no progress but only twist the line up
    lol
