Thank you, Ace, every time you post I can count on a relaxing 20-30 minutes of stress free content, no cussing, politics, or any of that stuff, just straight good content
There are two wild plants that grow and look the same. One is a wild scallion and the other is a wild garlic. The way to tell the difference is the root bulb. The scallion looks like ordinary store bought but small . The wild garlic is just like regular garlic just on a smaller level. Both of these can be eaten raw or cooked. Great healthy forage food.
Nice watching these Appalachian creek fishing videos. Makes me wanna escape the city and get lost in the woods. How I do miss living in the country. 🎣 🐟
I have none of the skills to do what you do (yet), but before I die, I'm catching, preparing & cooking my own fish n chips dinner right out in the nature!!! That looks like peaceful bliss right there!! I've got too much California in me & need to start exploring the beautiful state my dad left behind (Montana) & scratch the itch. So glad to have stumbled upon your channel man! You even pray before the meal. A good practice for all of us really.
Behead and gut trout, stuff it with butter and ramps (add your spices), wrap in foil and throw into coals. Turns out very good!!! Use your sauces for dip. I call this, "Trout Bergoo". Ate it many times camping in WV.
I actually just discovered Zack Fowler's channel about a couple months ago, long after I found yours, Ace. It was cool to see him using your seasoning in a lot of his videos. Imagine my happy shocked face to see you using his sauce, as well as explaining y'all's collaboration with y'all's seasonings. I'd love to see you two collab in a video together. Y'all both make my days seeing you two fishing and cooking! Please do a fishing collab sometime in the future! That'd be awesome! Bless you both!
I’ve been on RUclips since it’s inception, and have subscribed to thousands of channels, and yet you sir, are the only channel I regularly watch, go back to, and never grow out of. You inspired me to start fishing and getting out in nature. I would love to meet you one day but alas I’m in australia on the other side of the world 😂 keep doing your videos Ace, you’re awesome 💙
You can pull up and eat the bulbs too it’s like a little garlic onion. I’d fry trout in salt, butter, pepper and of course any other seasoning and cook the onions with the trout in the butter
Ace this video was spectacular! Absolutely phenomenal job! Was wondering if those wild onions have small bulbs in the soil? If so, you could always mince the stalks and bulbs right into your batter for the ultimate fry. Bring on more of these mountain stream videos and maybe even an overnight camp, catch and cook. Love your content my dude!
Hey Ace. That plate of trout, chips, and Mac salad, looked great. I really think that your culinary skills, (like my big fancy word there, did ya??), LOL!!, have really come a long way. That mandolin that you have there for slicing, really made super thin chips. The sound of the crunch was amazing. Glad to see you and Me Ancient posting vids. I really enjoy both your channel, and your dad's. God bless, stay safe.
LOL. AV's trout, pasta, & freshly fried crisps looked alot better than what I had for my supper...garlic bread pizza 😐 RIGHT proper scran!🤤 WHAT'S the Scoville scale rating on that chipotle sauce AV?
The perfect fishing weather,, and wild onions plus wild creek trout definitely nothing better than that thanks for a nother great catch and cook video this Saturday..
It is so rewarding to be able to cook your fresh caught trout outside, and eat them. You did a great job deep frying the fresh trout, & potatoe chips. Love the channel, be safe, stay healthy, & Bless everyone.
My aunt is dealing with breast cancer right now and the doctors fear it's spread to alot more places. If you could, pray for healing and a miracle from God that He heals her, if that's according to His will. Thank you
come to New Zealand, Hawkes Bay, A LOT of our creeks and shallow rivers have monster trout in them, not to be rude, but they 60 percent of the ones you can catch would make the creek trout you catch look pretty small in comparison.
As somebody who was a chef for a few years, be super careful with that mandolin (slicing tool). They’re way sharper than most people realize and it’s super easy to slip and hurt yourself. I can’t tell you how many people I know who have sliced themselves BAD on those things.
Hi ace! My name is adam and I am a huge fan and I love all your fishing videos and every day I watch your videos with my family! But I recently made you a fishing lure and I would like to send it to you but I am not sure how to if it's ok with you please tell me how I can send it to you because I am from south Africa. Thank you for all the videos! Every time I watch your videos it makes me happy.
Using Fowler a sauce. Called it! Lol I do wish this was more accessible in the desert. We always stopped for fishing if there was time back in Colorado. Finding water in South Nevada is quite the challenge.
Fisherman, prays and loves the outdoors..oh man wish we had men like that where I live..but then again our lakes have dried up due to everyone up north damming up rivers and of course global weather changing
Also, you should look for American lotuses, they have tubers in the summer that are said to have a similar taste to potatoes and are edible raw and cooked, which is another thing you can forage.
Do you live in the Appalachian mountains now? That’s where I live. Also we call green onions, Ramps!
So yes or no Ace?
Thanks you to
That’s not the same thing
That’s not a ramp, it’s a wild onion.
They are scallions

2 trout videos in one week! Can’t wait to get home and watch this one. Thanks for the content, Ace!
I am down with pneumonia on opening day here in Pennsylvania-this helps. Thank you, Ace.
I hope you get better man! I’ve been sick right before I fishing trip too. It’s tough.
For the wild onions, you should dig out the bulb of each stalk. That’s the part you wanna eat.
Nice watching these Appalachian creek fishing videos. Makes me wanna escape the city and get lost in the woods. How I do miss living in the country. 🎣 🐟
I’ve had pet crawdads for years! They’re great pets with lots of personality! Also very easy care.

if you dig under the little onions there's actually little garlic or onion bulbs that you can use
Love to see you said grace and thanked God for all he provides..
If I could only watch one person for the rest of my life, it would be ace, he’s just so cool

Living at bording school with a lake this year and this inspired me to take my rod down to the lake
I am so excited for a collaboration with you and Fowler!
hey man great idea to keep the crawfish but when you do that make sure to open lid every like 20 mins because they will run out of air and die
It's fair to say that ace, his bro and deer meat for dinner are the best catch and cooks on RUclips. Well the ones I've come across anyway.
