I have had the 8 foot extendable handle version of your net for the past 20-plus years and it is by far the longest lasting net I've ever owned, and they are affordable. They are bullet proof and I use mine on the Great Lakes for Lake Trout and Salmon. I grew up fishing catfish and cut my teeth fighting those monster fish. Back in those days I'd throw the biggest golden shiners I could get my hands on in some of the deep holes in and around the Mississippi River (and those rivers that flowed into it) in West Central WI. Those fish taught me how to catch big fish once I started after big lake trout and salmon close to 50 years ago. Catfishing is a LOT less expensive and just as fun as the other species I go after, many times much more fun due to the simplicity of doing it. Keep having fun and thanks for releasing the big ones.

Beautiful Catfish Dave. Back in Illinois, we at times would catch those real dark ones , in the Illinois river, in the Starved Rock area. But ! Nothing that big. Biggest ones every few years ran into the 30 lb class. As always You deserve to catch the big ones ! Being the consummate catch and release fisherman that You are ! My hat is off to You Sir !!
