I've watched you catch many a fish with barely a ripple of emotion. But when you saw the size of that big Blue Cat ... your face lit up and, sure enough, broke out with a smile. Sometimes it's worth getting up in the morning. John from Louisville.
When you choose to slow down when passing an anchored boat, you make a stranger a friend, even if just for a few moments. Also an opportunity to exchange a greeting and kind words. Same as letting an opposing car cross a single lane bridge first, when you got to each side at the same time.
AMEN we show respect cause we were raised to show other respect like we would want it's a Texas thang that more folks should apply to them selves as well as ther youngens
Grew up on the Allegheny river in NW PA...you slowed down amd went wide because its the right thing to do and of you didnt, there was a good chance you were gonna see the person at the grocery store the next day lol. We go down and fish the Potomac by DC now and these idiots will darn near swamp my boat, cant be bothered to show a little decency. Boggles my mind.
I would get on the water before sunrise all alone & happy just to have the bass boys show up later ruining everything so I know what you're saying. I would be courteous when fishing flooded timber & get out of their way only to get stuck on the tree tops by their wake (small aluminum boat) making we wait for the next wake to get unstuck so the following week I quit being nice & stayed put making them go elsewhere. Good to see you happy with your boat.
This is TN, we don’t go overboard with what big brother wants. He’s by himself and motivating folks to get outdoors and be healthy, heck our turkey season opened as planned.
Just a hint Dave, suggest you let some line out when you have the fish netted. Keep you from breaking off the tip of the pole. You sure can catch some big catfish and stripers.
Darrell Smith I think it’s a rule also. If you go full wake and flood someone’s boat youll have to buy that flooded boat because it’s your irresponsible fault.. atleast that’s how it should be
Here in Texas most of everyone on the rivers or lakes knows each other so they slow down and drift pass and either ask you if you caught anything or if you want a beer.
yeah its freaking nuts how people cant slow down for literally 30 seconds to a minute just out of respect for you holding down a spot already with multiple lines out man.. ill never understand it
I hate those two but we have 30'-50' ocean cruise liners on Lake of the Ozarks that about shake you fishing rig apart. Makes you want to zing a 5oz. Sinker in their boat.
Hello Dave, this is one of your old fishing friends from years ago.. I see your still at it and doing well.. Best of luck to you and your channel.. your friend Ky from Seymour...
Thank you for sharing with us your love for catfishing. Nice fish. Thank you for showing people how to land and release a fish that size for someone else to enjoy catching
These videos sure are great to watch. Being stuck at home with all these virus warnings is not fun. Watching Dave fish is relaxing & I"ve picked up some good tips . Thanks Dave !!
Sorry about all the late comments Dave, I just started watching Dave tube. I have alot to catch up on. I just caught my first Gollywhopper Blue in the Ohio river. I just started fishing it this year. Skipjack is surely catfish candy. I will never forget 9/6/2020. I bank fish, can't afford a boat. I learned how to catch that Blue from you. My wife calls me Raymond Dean the Catfish machine. Thanks for always being here Dave!! Gollywhopper on!!
Club tournament times are posted online. They give months notice, sometimes a year notice in advance in regards to when they will be competing and at which lakes. If these casual fishermen would learn how to use the internet, maybe they'd see the scheduled competition days and avoid going fishing that day if it really upsets their "sacred private time" that much. lol ridiculous.
Great video of 70 Bluecat Dave! You remind me of my oldest brother Clifton who has gone on to the great cat fish waters in Heaven!! Enjoy your fishen and God Bless!
You had bright smile on your face when signed off!!! Great Job!!! Good old boy music to fish by!!!! Now where is your scale.... never leave home without the scale in the boat.... its like what is in your wallet....OR .... never leave home without your AM EX CO Card!!!
WHEW!!! Dave I thought I was about to hear "DOWN GOES FRAZIER (CATFISH DAVE ) !!! Might need a deck hand from now on . That fight was more on the boat!!! GREAT CATCH!!!
Wow!!👍 Way to go! Now, that you have a boat, you can access more areas. Combined with your knowledge and experience, gonna be a helluva year!!👍 Looking forward to it! Tight lines Catfish Dave !
Nice one, but damn you can tell Dave is a bank fisherman. Here's a couple tips. #1. Double anchor where possible so ur fishing perpendicular to the current, but you can only do it when the current isn't too bad . That will give you WAY more fishing space AND the boat won't sway back and forth. It may take some extra time, but spend 10mins getting double anchored, it's well worth it when you can. #2.Slack off on the reel once you land the fish, then you won't have to fight the rod while unhooking the fish, you can set it aside until you get it unhooked and released. And like Ive been saying. This opens up a whole new world for ole CD here, expect to see a bunch more big fish and better numbers as he finds some spots with his boat.
Nice fish Dave! I enjoyed that video and I'm looking forward to more BIG'UNS landed using that new boat. Good luck to you in the search for a few flat heads this spring.
Man I know when you got a good one, that's the only time you crack a smile haha, and I have learned a few things from watching you, river certified and kayak catfish. Man y'all keep the bite strong and thanks for the tips and tricks.
Where im from dadgum bassmasters, run over us po ol catfishermen too! I always try slowdown for others, only right We start calln you veinna sausage Dave lol
I'm happy for you sir! What an awesome fish! They can't hide from you no matter where you fish! I will probably never catch a 70 lb catfish and that's OK. Watching you get one satisfies the soul.
Nice fish, had some shoulders on it. That's why it's good to go after a variety of species, big blue won out. Put the boat toward the wakes, it'll make the ride more absorbing. Keep the film rolling!!!
Keep reeling them in that big im gonna say you are gonna need a bigger boat great video dave keep them coming and thank you for the knowledge you are sharing
Thank you for the video, it is very interesting as always. That was a huge fish, it moved the boat like a trolling motor. Cool boat, wish you 100 + from the new boat.
You get a ataboy for making sure that big breeder cat has recovered after to release it instead of showing two people and no pics and freezer burning half the meat... Captain Dave

Biggest Dave smile I've ever seen. 🎣👍
Hey John Allen. The Ohio has some great Catfish. Caught many over your way and also from the other side.
@@bigsexymanbear1950 You would smile big too as that fish is something we only dream of . . . Good Job Dave!! Wishing you many more!!
Shoman Blues Fished there many times . Catch the water right it’s lot of fun .
the knowledge Dave has about cats, then give him a boat, you see the results. Keep up the great videos.
Great fish Dave. In my experience that fish was closer to triple digits than 70lbs. I’d say she was pushing 90. Amazing fish
“Dagblasted” is my favourite word since watching these videos😀
Stephen Asbridge them dagblasted fish with the stripes on them
I subscribed instantly when he got pissed 😂

I'm in Texas where we all slow down to slow creep when going by someone anchored and fishing.
Not those a-holes there🤷
AMEN we show respect cause we were raised to show other respect like we would want it's a Texas thang that more folks should apply to them selves as well as ther youngens
Actually you can fly by me on plane. Don't slow down unless you idle by. Less wake going fast
@@swalker9482 very true but most people slow down thinking ok we're being nice but it makes more of a wake
Facts that’s the best way to get cussed out or pulled up on lol I’m in east Texas

Dave fishing off the boat still complaining about boats love it haha

I think when Catfish Dave launches his boat all others should get off the lake!
Lol
I think khes on a river
Wonder why everyone comes to tn to fish ? I mean the lakes are ponds and all lol we make plenty off the yankees coming all year to fish our ponds lol
I love that sound when they starting pulling the line out. It's almost Heavenly.
Just a hint Dave, suggest you let some line out when you have the fish netted. Keep you from breaking off the tip of the pole. You sure can catch some big catfish and stripers.
I bet by the end of the year, Catfish Dave will have a bigger boat,HA HA!
Nice one Dave. Loved your afterglow, you had me crackin up. Hang in there them flatheads are comin
I’ve never seen so many disrespectful boaters in my life! Up here in West Virginia boaters go no wake past others.
Darrell Smith I think it’s a rule also. If you go full wake and flood someone’s boat youll have to buy that flooded boat because it’s your irresponsible fault.. atleast that’s how it should be
wicked Lester That’s so disrespectful. Fishing, in my opinion, is kind of a sacred, private thing that should be respected.
You must not be fishing on the Kanawha River where I fish lol
Here in Texas most of everyone on the rivers or lakes knows each other so they slow down and drift pass and either ask you if you caught anything or if you want a beer.
At least where I'm from down in south Texas. Can't speak for everyone.
Dave, WOW THATS A BIG ONE! Finally crisin the boat! Double WOW woooooooo God bless
You should name your boat BLUE FORCE ONE
The look on your face said it all. Congratulations.
"These "bleeping" pr!(ks".... lmao! If I had a dollar for every time I've uttered those exact words while trying to catfish....
"Ya dont till ya throw ".....truer words have never been spoken.
Congrats Dave!
yeah its freaking nuts how people cant slow down for literally 30 seconds to a minute just out of respect for you holding down a spot already with multiple lines out man.. ill never understand it
I just don’t get either. SMH
Open water is one thing but when your running within 100yds of other boaters or the bank then slow down.
Love them videos Dave I really enjoy watching I'm learning more every time I watch one THANKS
What can I say, freaking awesome fish, I never even caught one like that in my dreams, thanks for the video and love that music
Ive only watched 2 of Dave's videos and i already feel like ive learned so much about Cats
