If you have more car wheels laying around it would be interesting to see how much force the center or the rim could take when the wheel is laying flat - for another video. Together with a flat surface to rest on, I think that is when the wheel is hardest to break.
The alluminum car rims are weakest at the inner center....all weight goes from edges of the rim center. Test was not correct like on short widht of the steel rim.
So, we're testing bicycle handlebars under the assumption that they are going to buckle when an elephant steps on the croas-bar? Otherwise, I'm at a loss for words...
