It blows my mind that I was lucky enough to see Manny hit that walk off against the Angels in 2007 at my first ever playoff game. The greatest night of my life by that point in time. Magical.
I don’t think many people realize how special of a hitter he was. Tied for 2nd only behind Babe Ruth in number of “Hall of Fame Seasons” years hitting at least .300 with at least 100 RBI and 30 HR. Without looking it up I think Babe Ruth had 14 Manny, Barry and Pujols had 10 each I believe.
There were minor league players who juiced that never made it out of the minors. PED's alone can't explain Manny's greatness. Like Bonds and Clemens, Manny was great before he used enhancements .If Big Papi is in the HOF, Manny should join him.
@@stuartperry1047facts!! I make this point every time I get into this conversation with someone. Many players in the minors have been caught. You still need the talent, skill, work ethic, dedication etc to be that great
Ramirez is one of the top right handed hitters in the game’s history. For 14 seasons he hit at least .300 with 30 home runs and had at least 100 RBI. Mr. Consistent.
I picked Manny up at the airport in Toyko, drove him and his uncle around for a few days and hooked him up with all the R35 people I knew... and he still owes me money for that. At least I got to keep 15 of his game bats.
That last home run, which is number one on the countdown, the announcer said was going into the Boston night, and I think it went all the way to the Mass Pike
Posting a highlight reel of a player that is arguably the best example of the Red Sox front office having success with a big money/long-term contract just seems too paradoxical given the events of the past few off-seasons...
I remember I was like 10 or 11 and I BEGGED by Dad to buy me a Manny jersey because he was my favorite player but by Dad was a baseball purist and didn't like all the on field antics so I went to my grandma and asked if I could clean her house every weekend for some money and I bought my first Red Sox jersey a few months later.
Manny Ramirez first grand slam was August 19th, 2001. Less than a month later the September 11th terror attacks happened. How much did the track change in the world, including sports, after that horrific event?
I was 12 years old at the first game at Fenway after 9/11. Sat in the first row right on the left field line, right before the wall goes parallel to the foul line. The only game I ever brought a glove, because I had to defend myself from Manny and Nomar.

Shit. I didn’t know that the RedSox played the Yankees and Athletics in the ALDS in 2003 That’s awesome one team was able to play two teams at the same time. Haha
That was not game one of the ALDS in 2003. That was the league championship series against the Yankees. We played the Oakland As in the division series. Please correct that.
El Home run número 4 salio en el periódico que manny le dijo a francona que se la iba a sacar y dio el Home run se ve en el video como lo señala a francona, como diciendo: te lo dije...
.312 career avg 555 home runs 2574 hits 1831 RBIs 2x World Series champion World Series MVP 12x all star 9x silver slugger and a batting title…definitely hall of fame numbers unfortunately the stats are questionable because of PEDS in some peoples eyes hell of a player hell of a Red Sox but we’ll most likely never get in the HOF

Griffey has the best lefty swing of all time, but Manny has the best righty swing of all time.
I have said the same thing for years. 100%
Miguel Cabrera's is easily better. Just sublime.
Larry Walker for Lefties
Or Ted Williams
Cap puljols did
Concur. Smooth and pretty righty swing
The way he walks off after hitting a homer is legendary
I know the PEDs taint his legacy, but man his swing was a thing of beauty. One of the best hitters ever.

My fav player growing up. I used to get crap for it because I’m Puerto Rican and of course mannys Dominican but manny was just different man.
One of the best swings ever imo
Dam he was so so good, what a treat to watch

Yeah honestly
I said this as soon as I figured out he’s not in the new ones too
Imagine a no doubter with him and he just walks halfway to 1st celebrating🔥 🔥

Red sox peaked back when they had manny Rameriz and ortiz in the same line up
I mean they won 2 more without manny I don’t think that’s peaking but that was there most entertaining team.

Manny didn’t have a bat flip. He had a trot strut.
He belongs in the Hall of Fame!

well it was his first one with the Red Sox he had several grand slams with the Indians prior to joining the Red Sox.

Game 1 2003 against the Yankees homerun was in the ALCS not the ALDS

It's funny bc they posted the ALDS vs the As that year as well 😅
Yeah and wasn't the Manny homer in the ALDS in Game 5, not 4 LMAO. Whoever made this was definitely pushing the midnight oil
Always loved when he would hit one and take his batting gear off.
What a fun player to watch
Watch the umps eyes after the 2007 alds walk off 😂😳
Hall of fame from Boston Red Sox
Always loved how he’d kill balls and just drop the bat in .02 seconds 😂
Manny ramierez is the randy johnson of hitting, very intimidating
Manny one of my all time favs!! Didnt he have 165 rbis in a season before?
I love how he keeps his arms up, after the grandsalami

Remember when the Red Sox used to sign big time players with big time contracts?
If you have trouble remembering something that happened less than a year ago with Trevor Story, you should see a doctor.
Tied for 63rd in AAV. Not a big time player, not a big time contract.

Red Sox forget about his best player all time
You could just always rely on him. If the Sox were in trouble and Manny stepped up you figured something could really happen.
Why did Manny Ramirez come to Boston?
Because he got tired of seeing the Yankees winning!
How many pitchers looked forward to facing Papi #3 and Manny #4? Even Mariano the Great dreaded that.
La número #4 fue el juego 5 y no el 4. Ya que el juego 4 habia sido en Boston un día antes.
Where’s the one he hit to the pike?!?
