Sir you are a super teacher and we are lucky to have a person like you.Your way of speaking and ups and downs of your conversation make you a teacher of its own unique style. Thanks.
I am going to reach C1 level of English. Thank you for your youtube lessons! They are very useful for me. Your explanations are always simple and clear.
наконец то в одном коротком видео весело и по делу все маленькие нюансы как выбрать правильно форму словесного оборота. Грег, дорогой, ты оставишь миллионы учителей без работы! Так держать!
You asked for a comment using the tenses you outlined, so here goes! I am teaching teenagers at a language school in London next week. I am going to have a great time, now that I've mastered the grammar with 'English with Greg'! Many thanks Greg! Best wishes, Joel
My sixth grader students are learning these too.. I'm going to try to use this video to help them understand these three at once. Thanks, Greg. It's helpful.
This is funny I’m fluent in English, I’ve been using the language on a daily basis for over 20 years and this is all very familiar to me however , I clicked on the video because i realized that if someone asked me to explain this , I would be completely incapable of doing so. Thanks I learned something new today !
Cheers, Sir for explaining us the usage of will, going to and Present Continuous. We are bearers of English and it means that we have to always work hard on ourselves. I think it's going to be hot this summer.
Thank you for the detailed lesson, everything, as always, is easy and understandable, surprisingly, but with my level of knowledge I understand you completely, thank you! You are the best teacher!👏🙌🏻☘️
This video is so amazing because I had been looking for the best explanation about this topic until I found this so, I will simply say, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Great video, Greg. English learners must not forget the importance of fluency. It's like a trade-off of mistakes and fluency. From my experience as a business English teacher, it is better to make a few more mistakes in exchange for fluency. Excellent fluency maximises one's English. A lack of fluency minimises it.
Thank you very much. it was very useful for me. I never knew these differences. Greetings From Russia! Please keep on helping us to learn correct English!
You can even use the present simple for schedules. The train arrives at 5 pm. (Now it is 1 pm.) The movie starts at half past two. (I'm telling you this 2 hours before.) Even though the event lies in the future, I use present simple.
Could you please explain why you used "going to" in the sentence: "Maybe you just have a feeling that the weather is going to change" (7:00)? Following your explanations, you should have used "will", but you didn't. Is there a reason for that?
There are few people that I have managed to understand when they explain the future tensed and I swear you just saved my life 😭🫶 I usually don’t understand teachers when they teach this because I speak English not in a always worried about grammar or structure way because I’m used to it and apply it correctly, however, now that I’m learning it from zero it’s somehow hard and confusing, so these videos always help me out. Love from Costa Rica 🫶🫶🫶🫶
What a great teacher you are!!! Who said learning English was a piece of cake????? many people say they know English really well and they are so far from the truth!!!!
Thanks for the video, I am going to use these grammar rule in my conversation. It will be great to know more English grammar. I am learning English every day.
It is great to base classes on concepts. They are universal for every language. With this approach Greg could teach any language - possibly Sanskrit? :)
Hello Greg Could you explain the way the construction USED TO is used in questions and negative forms Thank you very much indeed for your fabulous lessons Take care
While there are a few situations where there is a significant distinction between "will" and "be going to," where immediacy of action is important, the difference between the two is often overblown, and the two forms can often be used interchangeably to express future events or actions or predictions. One example is making a decision in the moment, say, for example, ordering at restaurant: While "I'll have [the] [menu item]" is used about 60% of the time, "I'm going to have [the] [menu item]" is also common. The decision to use the latter is often a matter of tone, context, and personal style.
I’m going to study biologist after I watched this video. By the end of this video I realized I will watch again because It’s much better the more we repeat the more we stick it.
Your video was very helpful so I'll watch the others. Thank you a bunch! I used "will" because I've made a decision right now and it's kinda promise to myself.
Very good explaination of future tense with easy way..one thing i would like to ask that in speaking if use only will in all these situation u explained is acceptable? Thanks
Nice explanation, Greg! I was wondering if you could also explain the case of Present Simple and "to be to" usage for describing future event. E.g. The train arrives at 8 o'clock. I run 10 miles tomorrow. The Prime Minister is to see the Queen tomorrow.
Yes we use the present simple for timetables (e.g. the shop opens at 9am / the train leaves in 10 minutes / the next bus leaves on Sunday evening) 👍🏼 👍🏼
I'm going to keep this video. I have just made a copy-and-paste of the link and written down : "parfaite explication pour le futur". Thank you for all your so well explained lessons ! 221002
