Hi Arnel, thanks for your wonderful lesson. Before I watched this video on RUclips, I didn’t understand the difference between present tense and future tense when using them for describing habits. Now it’s very clear, and I can use them correctly.

I love the completeness of your video and clarity of your delivery. However, I always have a problem with the fact that practically speaking “going to “ is used much more frequently than is generally taught and “will” is most often used when you are making a promise, for emphasis, and for facts or what you may believe to be facts. For example what will you do tomorrow or what are you going to do tomorrow? I am going to get up, go to the store, swim in the ocean. From this response I would think that the person in possibly or maybe probably going to do these things. But if she said I will get up, go to the store and go swimming in the ocean, I would take this as something far more definite. So to me with real beginners I think it is simpler to think of “going to” as less definite and “will” as more definite. Imagine the same thing for what are going to do this weekend. I know there are exceptions but I feel to get beginners started this is easier for them and as a practical matter works. The definite nuances they can pick up later but to me it is important to give them something easy to get started with that they can use and “going to” seems more commonly used and acceptable than is generally taught.

For me there is no difference between “will” and “will be”. Can you give more examples? That’s your example: “I will be 5 minutes late” (I will 5 minutes late). How do you know the difference? Another example with “ing” (I will be + ing) is clear and understanding. Thanks in advance. ❤️ P.S. …Well…I've already find it out. I will + verb; I will be + adjective. Am I right? 🙃 Thank you. 🙏🏼

Oh! This is the same as the difference between WILL and BE GOING TO in the future simple. So, "today we will be looking at some phrasal verbs (will be + ing)" and "today we are going to be looking at some phrasal verbs (going to be + ing) " are the same thing. Will is slightly more formal. Hope this helps :)
